We've had successive days with some real legends celebrating candle blowing so I'll list the celebrants each day and I'm sure there will be a broad range of topics we can discuss about their careers and achievements!

If it's your birthday, please feel free to chime in!

I'm gonna cap it at twelve people to keep it tidy but if you want to mention anyone omitted, go right ahead.

Quentin Tarantino

Does that show still exist? What a waste of prime time...

The post-Sheen era is weaker but still has its moments and Berta/Alan (Jon Cryer) still make me giggle, not to mention a rerun or two caught while channel surfing.

Meanwhile, Stanislas is probably already in Swiss heaven, eating cake and getting ready for DC. Happy day!

Someone bring bail money for Jennifer Capriati...she's headed to one of Sam Walton's joints and plans on shoplifting some Xena (Lucy Lawless) posters and Monty Python (Eric Idle) DVDs!

Happy Day!

Found some notable sports figures, Cy Young, Earl Campbell, Denny McLain, Clyde Frazier.

The site I looked at mentioned Jennifer Capriati as a "female tennis player," apparently she's not to be confused with an actual tennis player and the photo isn't considered enough evidence.

Probably the same source as mine...many other "Jennifer"'s more popular than her. While she's in Walmart, I was hoping she could lift some "Just For Men" for me in honor of Clyde and Earl. McLain is offering 2-to-1 odds she doesn't get snagged by security. If she does get busted, she'll do some hard time...violation of probation for her latest charge of stalking and battery of a boyfriend.

What a doozy!

From tennis we have Sam Stosur and Mario Ancic. Miss his big game!

From music, we have Celine Dion, MC Hammer, Tracy Chapman, Norah Jones, Frankie Laine and Eric Clapton . That's a band, especially Chapman and Clapton together on "Give Me One Reason"!

From acting, happy day to Warren Beatty, Robbie Coltrane, Peter Marshall, Paul Reiser and John Astin

Last but certainly not least...The art world from two different centuries was ruled by the works of Goya and Van Gogh!

Happy day everybody!

There's a few:

For Senti and you sticky wickets fans, the Indian cricket player Sachin Tendulkar

For entertainers...Cedric the Entertainer (aka Gus Petch in "Intolerable Cruelty"

Also, and certainly not less...Barbra Streisand AND Shirley McLaine and the late Jill Ireland.

For golf fans, Lee Westwood

For music and art, Doug Clifford (CCR drummer) and the late artist Willem de Kooning.

Also, yesterday was Billy Shakespeare's birthday. So, Senti is part of Act II when the plot thickens a bit, say in "Hamlet" when Polonius utters a Senti tribute of sorts..."Brevity is the soul of wit."

Can you smell what The Rock's cooking? Can you bend it like Beckham? If so, you might have been born on May 2. A shout out at their graves is also due to Dr. Spock, the Red Baron and Catherine the Great.

I first learned who Uma Thurman was when I was a university student. I was at Mickey Rourke's (biker bar? cafe? dinner?) in Beverly Hills one summer when I was in college at Cal up north, and asked his brother who was the woman on the cover of "Rolling Stone Magazine."

There's a lot of others celebrating today or being remembered:

From the NFL we have Emmitt Smith and Ray Lewis, one in the HOF and the other a certain first-ballot inductee.

From MLB, we have George Brett and John Smoltz, again in and should get in the HOF.

From movies, we have the late James Mason and Joseph Cotten.

From music, we have Trini Lopez, Brian Eno, Mike Oldfield and the late Eddie Arnold.

From literature, we wouldn't have Oz without the late L. Frank Baum.

From art, we have Jasper Johns.

Happy days, all!

He was one of the Welles collaborators...very good in "Citizen Kane" and the star in "The Magnificent Ambersons".

Another often overlooked cohort was Ray Collins, who many from our generation got more familiar with as Lieutenant Tragg from "Perry Mason". He was almost never stymied in roles with Welles' Mercury Theater group. Not so, when he ran up against Raymond Burr's team on TV!

He and Eno did some work together and their birthdays are back-to- back (yesterday Eno turned 64).

Also...although Jonathan and Alan Richman are not related, they share May 16 birthdays.

Also blowing out candles today are Janet Jackson and Pierce Bond, er, Brosnan!

That's OK, I had had my first sip of Gevalia Espresso Roast before I realized it was Grigor's day.

So, like Eno & Fripp (May 15&16), maybe Murray & Dimitrov would make nice music, no?

With the way Murray played Rafa yesterday and Dimi's run in Rome, I think they would make beautiful music together ;-)

Happy birthday Jurgen (33) and Novak (27)!

Let's see: they'll play an exho to Wagner's "Also Sprach Zarathusra" with lyrics ("Rocket Man") added by Bernie Taupin An adaptation of "Everyday Is Like Sunday" lyrics to "Everyday Is Your Birthday" will be made by Morrissey Apollo Ohno will speedskate to Subway for the catering and Novak will raise funds for Serbian flood victims by purchasing a canvas or two from the Mary Cassatt archives. The night's festivities will also include a stage production of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Hound Of The Baskervilles" with Sir Laurence Olivier playing Sherlock Holmes. The entire gala will be funded by T. Boone Pickens but the night is marred by a free-for-all between Naomi Campbell and Brie Bella over who will give Daniel Bryan his best birthday gift.

Other than that, a pretty boring day!
