Tennis Players will be disqualified if they leave the bubble

All attention in the tennis world will be on the Nitto ATP Finals in London from November 15 to 22, with Novak Djokovic among the stars hoping to match Roger Federer's record of six wins and with Rafael Nadal hoping to win for the first time.

They will face off against the likes of Grigor DImitrov, Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas in a round robin format of eight singles players and 16 in doubles.

The players now know the protocol that they will have to follow, with a bubble system in place. They'll be staying at the Intercontinental Hotel, which is right next to the O2 Arena in North Greenwich on the River Thames.

PCR tests will be conducted with results to be returned within four to six hours, starting this Monday. Anyone who hasn't passed a test by midday on Thursday will be disqualified.

With that in mind, most players will arrive between Tuesday and Wednesday and will then have to remain in their hotel rooms until they receive a negative test result.

This will be the only test conducted throughout the competition, as long as there are no signs of symptoms of COVID-19. Any player who leaves the bubble will be automatically disqualified, with all meals provided within the arena or at the official hotel.

For the first time in the competition's history, there be no line judges. This is to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and Hawkeye will be used throughout the tournament. Since the first edition took place in Tokyo 50 years ago, the ATP has named one group after the Japanese city while the other will be called London 2020.

This no line judges thing needs to be uniform. Why do some tournaments use them and some do not? I don’t care which one they go with but it gets annoying when they differ from tournament to tournament.

1. That's not true. Pretty sure Tiafoe and Halep experienced some symptoms. There is also at least one report that Djokovic experienced mild symptoms.
