Question about weight: I have a racquet that weighs 340g, (hairpin + cap grommet + strings + tk82s pallets + leather grip + overgrip). Does this sound right? Without any lead or silicone?
there was a batch with misprinted specs. That one is a keeper!Just received this PT630 Trek Font and noticed that it's listed as 16x19. It's an 18x20.
Also, the higher than usual string tension 64.
Anybody know why this would be?

Thanks for the amazing insight. Do you know if these were early Trek Fonts? Do they come up often?there was a batch with misprinted specs. That one is a keeper!
No 16x19 PT630 was ever released as the retail
I have seen a few of them over the years. Thanks for the amazing insight. Do you know if these were early Trek Fonts? Do they come up often?

I’ve seen Pro tour 280, Prestige Classic 600, and Pro Tour 630. Yes, it’s during the trek font time frame.I have seen a few of them over the years.
@vsbabolat probably knows all of the details
@vsbabolat how common was the PT280 cosmetic on the doubles tour during the 90s? Got a list of those who used it?
I think Jared Palmer and David Wheaton used that cosmetic. Let me check.@vsbabolat anybody come to mind?
Same mold, same (PT57A2) layup…After a long set of ‘experiments’ (read holism) I’ve been playing with the pts for more than a year. Occasionally I’ve been tempted to try other frames, but these are objectively better than anything I have tried - ideal compromise for me on feel vs. power.
Anybody want to weigh in on feel differences between the 280 and 630? I feel the 280s are far more muted but would love to hear from others.
Same mold, same (PT57A2) layup…
I am not sure if 280 MIC is the same layup. Something tells me they may have altered it as they feel differentWas the made in china or smu same layup but with less attention to specs?
One of the 280s I have is mic, the other is the ‘head bar code inside’ mia one. They feel more similar to each other than the 630 I have (which feels far more flexible). The 2.0 of course feels different (I’ve read on here it’s a different layup).I am not sure if 280 MIC is the same layup. Something tells me they may have altered it as they feel different
The PT2.0 is the TGK57.5 layup which is different than the PT57A2One of the 280s I have is mic, the other is the ‘head bar code inside’ mia one. so i am not a PT57A owner or user i don’t think
but i do have a radical tour 630,
can someone tell me the layup differences between that stick and the PT57A? if i am correct they are both tk57 molds?
can i somewhat feel like i’ve hit with a PT57A if i’ve hit with the zebra??
Which retail racquet, other than than the PT 2.0, had that TGK57.5 layup? Was it the IG Prestige MP?The PT2.0 is the TGK57.5 layup which is different than the PT57A2
No, the IG Prestige MP is TGK293.2Which retail racquet, other than than the PT 2.0, had that TGK57.5 layup? Was it the IG Prestige MP?
Would be great if one of the PT57 experts could draw up a little table like the PS85 one, showing PT57A1=, PT57A2=, PT57B= etc. Even if that means a few different models for each code. Or is that not possible?
Cool. Is there another retail racquet that uses that same layup as the PT 2.0?No, the IG Prestige MP is TGK293.2
No, this is specific layup to the PT2.0Cool. Is there another retail racquet that uses that same layup as the PT 2.0?
Yes, that is the black sticker player code. By that code Head can identify the frame and all details about it. F means 2015 (A = 2010 and so on)I have a f031601 code sticker on a pro stock head frame. Anybody has an idea what this code means? Is it a player code?
By the way, it is not the PT57A (TGT293.1)I have a f031601 code sticker on a pro stock head frame. Anybody has an idea what this code means? Is it a player code?
Yes, it is 16x19 and extended, completely different frame from PT630By the way, it is not the PT57A (TGT293.1)
PT57A comes in 16x19 and it comes extended too…Yes, it is 16x19 and extended, completely different frame from PT630
It is TGT293.1 I got it to have a 16x19 frame for a changePT57A comes in 16x19 and it comes extended too…
Yours is, however, a different mold and layup - IG Prestige Pro
I know what it is (I read it off that sticker number before you confirmed). I just pointed out that the PT57A also comes in that string pattern. It is TGT293.1 I got it to have a 16x19 frame for a change
Yeah, I know. I wish I could try one. I do hit with PT2.0 and PT630, can only imagine how different it is from these frames.I know what it is (I read it off that sticker number before you confirmed). I just pointed out that the PT57A also comes in that string pattern.
yesWere all i.Prestiges made in Austria?
Thnaks, I'm tempted to add i.Prestige to my collection and gie it a try. I wonder how different it is from PT2.0 which is also stiffer then PT630.
I found the layups to be similar (TGK57.5 and PT57E2). Though the molds are differentThnaks, I'm tempted to add i.Prestige to my collection and gie it a try. I wonder how different it is from PT2.0 which is also stiffer then PT630.
You have mentioned the first letter of the sticker code indicates the year. I assume the mold and layout are also encoded, possibly also the player the frame was customize for is also included. Is there an overview of the encoding scheme Head pro shop uses available somewhere?I know what it is (I read it off that sticker number before you confirmed). I just pointed out that the PT57A also comes in that string pattern.
LOL. This is not a public information. And the number means nothing other than the random code for a stick or batch of sticks that Head can look at and replicate if necessary. The specific code has all of the info in the database, player/customizer/coach, all of the specs, date…You have mentioned the first letter of the sticker code indicates the year. Many thanks for the info, I was hoping at least for a mold/layout code to be made public.LOL. This is not a public information. the letter did indicate the year (A=2010, B=2011, and so on). Latest codes do not have the letter as the first character.
The whole pro stock idea is not really public info for any manufacturerMany thanks for the info, I was hoping at least for a mold/layout code to be made public.
will check on Mondaydr, would you be able to check the following code for me: I091907? I think it is TGT 293.2.
