I apologize for being late to the party! I picked up a Trisys 260 oversize bumblebee and have tremendously enjoyed it.

Can someone please tell me the differences between the twin tube and non-twin tube zebra mid plus frames? I prefer a somewhat more stiff feel. Specifically stiff in the head and perhaps more flexible in the throat.

Thanks in advance for your guidance,

BHBH

But why aren't any pro stock codes for the Graphene? They had pro stock codes for Microgel, Youtek and IG. Does this mean that even Head thinks that the Graphene Prestige is unfit for the pro tour? What's going on?
The Graphene Prestige is acquiring a legendary garbage status.

I really don’t understand the hate towards the Graphene Prestiges. I really liked the MP and Rev Pro (customized to my preferred specs, of course). BHBH

Every top of the line racquet Head makes has an engineering code. That denotes the mold and makeup of the tennis racquet. This code is what we refer to as “pro stock codes”. Even the Graphene Touch Prestige that just came out has this code, and every prestige and instinct and extreme and radical before it. Right now, the code for the graphene touch speed is tgt 301.4 and the code for the graphene touch extreme is like tgt 333.1

Yes, this. The codes are only incongruous when they end up on racquets with paint jobs that don't match. There is nothing weird about seeing the code PT57e on an actual iPrestige MP. But when you see that same code on a racquet painted to look like a Flexpoint Prestige MP (like the one in my basement!) then you realize there is an elaborate charade going on.

why in your basement and not in your tennis bag?

You keep in the basement because of 57е or because of incongruent FXP? ;)

The performance is fine. The feel on these racquets is the problem. Feel I guess is subjective. With the Rev Pro customized (because stock was worthless) it got rid of a lot of the vibrations but there was still a harsh metallic feel to it. My Graphene Prestige MP vibrated like a tuning fork even when customized the same as my PT57A. The classic HEAD racquets are so far superior to the cheap feeling crap they push out to the consumer today.

Okay. So the Twintube are racquets with an inner Graphite tube and an outer polyamide tube. The polyamide tube of the early Twintube racquets were not painted. The graphics were printed directly on the Polyamide material before manufacturing. The polyamide with the graphics printed were then applied like a decal over the carbon fiber matrix tube during the layup. They are put in to mold and cooked. The resulting racquets did not need to be paint and only the epoxy resin flash had to be removed and a very nice glossy clear coat was applied.

Thank you!!

How did they play? Were they more or less flexible in the throat/head when compared to the PT57A/Bumblebee MP?

Sorry for all the questions I’m trying to decide what model I should purchase. [emoji106][emoji462][emoji106].

Best,

I feel like the TwinTube racquets flex a little more in the head. It’s not a bad thing. However my preference is the Twaron racquets. They are all easy on the arm with good feed back.

Yep, the GPMP was just the first Graphene iteration. It felt horrible (like they all do) but it played pretty well for a Prestige. I did not like the GRevPro at all.

Do they have some old stash and only apply new PJ, or Head somehow and somewhere, almost miraculously, still manage to manufacture good rackets?
HEAD can still make good racquets for certain special people. They just have no interest in making good racquets to sell anymore

I actually quite liked the Graphene Prestige Pro, but I completely understand the hate. If you were expecting the traditional Prestige type frame it was very different from past iterations, it has a completely different mold. If it was called something else I feel like a lot more people would have enjoyed it.

Well, best I can compare to would be a Candycane OS to my Rad Tour Bumblebee 630/MPs. Feel on the forehand is nice on the OS, but overall the cumbersome nature of it makes the comparison pointless. I think the Rad Tour Trysis OS might be closest in feel if all other variables are out of the equation perhaps! But I'm only guessing.

Where does the Agassi Radical Trisys 260 oversize fit in all of this discussion? Which PT57 is most like it???

The OS has a throat shape which is broader, more like from a Ti.Radical to Microgel Radical than MP before. I think that affects stability or at least how offcenter shots feel. The stringbed is more open, almost like a 16x19 but the general feel of a trisys OS is closest to the corresponding MP.

Oh and the OS is TK59 I think.

I know there are many PT57 cultists here. What makes this iconic frame so special? What are it’s unique characteristics in play?? Comments on the Zebra Twin Tube would be especially appreciated! Thank you in advance, BHBH
