Maybe I'm mistaken but I believe U2 had already @'ed moi before editing your posts and yet I never got an alert. In fact I don't remember being alerted to this thread at all except when @Third Serve posted his early noms. Wonder there's a limit to # of times you can @ another poster in a single post?

Anyhoo guess I'll take a shot at at the TTW categories, with some twists. These will supplement the ATP/WTA noms I've already submitted:

Best thread on TTW: It's still "Greatest Serves of All Time" by far (for real), but since that one didn't see a whole lot of activity this year I say... this current thread where everyone has been having a ball (save for a brief tussle)!

If we're including less tennisy threads as well, it's this one though it's barely over 3 days old:


Took more than a week to put together. Expect it to have looooooooooooooooong legs especially with lots of indoor days ahead.

Most unique poster on TTW: @Start da Game for his utterly inimitable (if not necessarily "charismatic") style and seemingly utter unwillingness to engage except when insulted or confronted.
Most helpful poster on TTW: Moi, course. But barring myself, I say @urban (@encylopedia would win this by a landslide if he posted more).
Best --- fan on TTW: I really couldn't care less. Less tribalism, please.

Actually I kinda take that back. The Oscar for Best Closet Fan goes to @vive le beau jeu ! (of course).

The Big 3 of Conviviality on TTW: @Sudacafan, @MichaelNadal and @helterskelter. They seem as easy to get along with IRL as on TTW, and you'd have to go out of your way to offend 'em (well, except when you dare question the Humble Bull's GOATness in Mike's presence).

In my case it’s because originally I didn’t have you tagged. When you tag someone in an edit, the tagged person doesn’t get notified if I remember correctly.

Biggest upset/shock: Our lord and savior PCB ruining Joker's perfect season.

Most rewarding posts on TTW: I've changed the name somewhat cuz I wanted to give a shout-out to @3loudboys and @Poisoned Slice for two of my best discoveries of the year:




That Johnny Marr guitar solo still kicks all sorts of ass, while the Solarstone track proves once again that all trance/electronic doesn't (have to) sound the same. Was gonna pop the champagne in the "listening" thread proper before the year-end but figured I might as well do it here. Much obliged, boys! Many thanks for making this year somewhat more tolerable!

The Big 3 of Conviviality on TTW: @Sudacafan, @MichaelNadal and @helterskelter. They seem as easy to get along with IRL as on TTW, and you'd have to go out of your way to offend 'em (well, except when you dare question the Humble Bull's GOATness in Mike's presence).
Best Handwringer (if that's the way to put it) on TTW: @StrongRule
Best Avatar on TTW: I say only candidates with long-standing avatars qualify. That said I'll give it to @AnOctorokForDinner whose Stoic Bird visage fits his personality to a T.
TTW Lifetime Achievement Award: @Moose Malloy for his stat work over the years and... for being my partner in cinephilia!

Glad to bring it to your attention. (y) Those vocals almost put it at top spot for my favorite Solarstone tune. Lost Hearts is that tune.

FYI I played "Once" last nite for this old friend of mine who like moi generally doesn't care for trance and even he was sold*. :cool: Can't say I like "Lost Hearts" as much but you clearly know your electronic and I hope you'll keep plugging these not-so-famous gems! Thx again!

*We were exchanging YT clips for 4-5 hours till past 3 am, LOL. Hope your own Xmas was just as fun and jolly!
