Is the Donnay grip shape most similar to...? Wilson, Dunlop, Yonex, etc...?

I play a new Dunlop, like the shape... i play 4 3/8ths. The Dunlop 4 3/8ths feels smaller than a Babolat or Wilson in the same size... Can you compare the grip size in reference to another major brand?

thanks

It is exactly the same as Dunlop's grip shape since the Donnays are made by Dunlop. Even the grip size sticker they use are the same. Remember that both Dunlop and Donnay are owned by the same company so my guess is that both are made in the same factory using the same handle molds.

Cool thanks... i will be picking up an early-mid 90's model... wasn't sure that "vintage" would have the same shape...:)

What tension are you guys stringing the Donnay Pro One at?

Currently, my favorite setup is KGUT at 47 mains, with Cyber Flash crosses at 44lb. Racquet still has plenty of control strung low, which seems to work brilliantly for poly. Have tried polys around 60 and a bit higher, hit like a (painful) board. With softer poly I can hit with them around 55-58 when I am really wanting to crush the ball. Full syn, multi or gut plays well for me towards 60 lb.

I have made a previous post some time back about some different setups I've tried. You could search my prior postings. Just FYI, I used to use WIlson PS 6.1 Classic for many years strung mid 60's. And with this racquet I like the lower tensions much better.

I would agree. I am stringing this at 60# and even with a multi the power is low and the racquet does not have a lot of juice. I use the Donnay as my arm friendly racquet when I want to hit and just rest my arm, so I am string multis in it. My next tension will probably be 56#.
