This is kind of match that Singles player gets disappointed in doubles and saids "oh screw it,, this is my partner's fault". Murray being multiple majors winner is losing to Bruno Sourez..........who can't fill his water bottle..... Singles guy would have hard time accepting situation like this

I wonder why Murray and Lopez didn't team up again for doubles at Wimbledon? They proved they had a winning formula at Queen's so who knows how far they might have gone at Wimbledon?

It's quite ironic that Herbert didn't want to play doubles anymore, broke his successful partnership with Mahut, then agreed to play with Andy, was kicked out of the competition pretty early, while Mahut is in a final now. Karma is a b*tch, I guess.

I think Nico is definitely the better doubles player of the two. Better serve, bigger forehand, probably better volleys. They were a good pairing though because Herbert is usualy pretty solid on return for them I think. I haven't been able to watch much of the doubles, but I'm happy to see him back in a final.

I didn't like PHH's decision to play with Andy either.

Why oh why did Mahut break up with his buddy partner Pierre Herbert ?? Pierre played with Andy Murray at Wimbledon but still if they were together they would have played together at wimby I believe.

Not sure what went on there but Mahut seems to be doing alright with Roger-Vasselin (just made the doubles final with him).

It's weird because they've been a top team for a while but they don't seem like they've ever been contending for doubles slams.

It looks to me that Mahut/ERV are the superior team so far in this one also.

It sounds like it was a super exciting match! I wish there were more doubles matches broadcast regularly.

Barbora Strycova which is one of the crafty doubles player hasn't been in GS final let alone win one.
Same with Dabrowsky/Xu. But I hope Strycova will win one especially since she's with my fave Su-Wei.

Whatever happened to the doubles specialist Julio Peralta? Peralta/Zeballos pairing was doing relatively well in the tour. The only thing I can find is an article in Spanish regarding some "curious" circumstances about his appearance in Davis Cup for Chile. He was supposedly having a right wrist injury, but even the article said something about not much is known about his injury. He has disappeared since around Oct 2018.

He has nice OHBH.

Peralta is injured indeed. The "curious curcumstances" are that he was called when it was pretty obvious he wouldn't play, and he collected appearance money rather than another fit player.
