The emperor needs new clothes, eh, strings

sup fellas

As the outdoor season is slowly coming to an end over here I am planning a little string testing marathon during November.
I currently play with Genesis Typhoon (1.26) in a stock Yonex Vcore Pro97 330 and I'd describe myself as the quintessential brainless ball basher playing with moderate spin.

Below a list of strings I am considering for my experiments. Any feedback on the playability and durability (especially vs typhoon), tension recommendations and warnings are highly appreciated:

- Kirschbaum Max Power Rough
- Kirschbaum Pro Line Evolution
- Solinco Tour Bite
- Solinco Hyper G
- Solinco Confidential
- Tourna Big Hitter Silver
- Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour
- Pro's Pro Blackout
- Pro's Pro Nano Vendetta
- Head Lynx Tour
- Topspin Cyber Flash
- Genesis Black Magic
- Weiss Cannon Ultra Cable
- Signum Pro Firestorm
- Polystar Energy
- Diadem Solstice Power
- RS Lyon
- Discho Iontec
- Mantis Power Poly
- Völkl V-Torque Tour

I will update this thread once I decide on the strings I'll playtest and subsequently post my impressions.

Testing that many strings is counterproductive. There are way too many variations, when you put the tension and thickness into the account.
You already know you want poly, that's good. Next, decide if you liked "plasticky" or "metalic" feel, next if you wanted smooth or textured/rough string, next if you wanted on stiffer or softer side of spectrum. Then, pick about 3 that fit the description the best and do your testing. With various string tensions, that's already lots of testing. Finaly, when you picked one, you'll still have to test various thicknesses and fine tune the tension for favorite thickness.
Have fun.

Thanks for the input. To clear things up a bit:
I wanted to base my choice of strings on recommendations from the forum, so I never intended to test the whole bunch. realistically, I'll get to test 5-6 strings max.
Regarding feel: I don't really like the feel some describe as plasticky, on the other hand not many strings I tried really gave me such impression. I prefer softer strings but am open to try both round and shaped strings.

I hear you...
From my experience the plasticky feeling ones tend to be softer. Metalic feeling yet softer, I vouch for Tourna Silver.
