QUOTE OF THE YEAR 2011

Fernando Verdasco (ESP)
Hot Sauce keeps raking in the awards, this time for losing to Canadian Milos Raonic twice in the span of a few days. Verdasco lost to Raonic in the San Jose final and then in the opening round at Memphis. Then he said neither match was “real” (because neither was on clay). ng down the hall look the other way. You’re out of control, yo“For me that’s not a real match in tennis. I hope to play soon against him in claycourt to show him what it is to play tennis, and play rallies, and run, and not [just] serve. I think he was more lucky than me in the tiebreak. He hit the line at 5-5 with a return and when you are at that point in the match and are lucky to put a ball on the line then you have big options to win the match.” Stay classy Hot Sauce. Have another burger.
Honorable mention: Serena Williams speaking to the chair umpire at the 2011 US Open: “If you ever see me walking down the hall look away u’re out of control, totally out of control, you’re a hater and you’re — you’re unattractive inside. Who would do such a thing? And I never complain. Wow. What a loser.”

Argh! Blake rushed/choked so badly when he served for it at 4-5 in the 5th. In less than 2 mins he went from 3 points from the match 15-0 to being broken to 5-5.

Even after blowing the 2 set lead he still had his chances to win. Up 3-0 in the TB he missed a FH DTL that would have given him 4-0. The highlights don't show how nervous Blake got when he was so close. Still credit to Andre for some clutch play, but that was Blake's best shot at a slam final (he would have played Ginepri in the SF).

Totally out of line, but to me she is hilarious.

Serena doesn't get how rediculous she can be sometimes though, which is funny in itself.

Well, Andre did hit some good returns in this particular game but Blake did choke away some chances, beside this game and TB lead he was also up a break in a third set..

Oh well, it was a good and tight match in the end.

Does any Fellow Federer fanboy have some advice on matches/extensive highlights of matches to watch untill next week? Particularly 'forgotten matches'. For instance, I was stunned by the high level of Federer Davydenko AO 2006. Davy could really play at the time, but Federer was Federer in the big points.

You can find a lot of classic AO matches from Fed and other players here.

Though the Fed/Davy match isn't on there...here are the highlights of that one.

Great site, has many matches to download (from pre prime to vintage and current Fed matches) and a great section of Fed pics grouped by seasons and tournaments.

I recently downloaded some obscure Fed matches like 2004 Rome against Costa and 2008 Olympics against Berdych.

Once again...gosh guys, years are passing by so fast. We will be old and grumpy, have talked through here to each other for years w/o ever seeing each other.

people come and go, but I see many old timers still around. Is Namranger still around? Who else do you remember who hasnt showed up for a while?
