The GOAT has arrived at Wimbledon...

You're American and you avoid American football? Because he's the best player in the NFL, just won a super bowl. But the only player you swifties know is Kelce.
That explains why I've never heard of him. I hate American football.

Also, I'm about as far away from being a Swifty (not sure how that's spelled) as you can possibly get.

Taylor Farce is the worst thing to come out of the music industry since Sean Kingston.

Yeah man i was born in 78, Ice Ice Baby was the coolest thing ever when it hit Norway in 1990! Still remember the lyrics.
Yep. Ice Ice Baby is a very catchy song!

I remember watching the second turtles move in the mid to late 90s (I was pretty young at the time) and I asked my mom who the rapper guy was.

She told me "That's Vanilla Ice."

I had never heard of Vanilla Ice, so I asked her if he was still popular.

She told me that he wasn't. Apparently he had a few big hits but his career was pretty short. Kind of like these two guys:

As a side note, 1989/90 is such a great time for music.

3 superbowls compared to SEVEN for Brady.

If only they’d played against eachother in the playoffs.

OH WAIT.

AFC championship in 2019 - Brady beats Mahomes when Brady is playing for the Pats. Brady goes onto win the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl in 2021 - Brady vs Mahomes when Brady is playing for the Buccaneers. Brady goes on to win the Super Bowl.

Mahomes is not the GOAT. Maybe he will be someday. But since Brady schools him titles and head to head in the playoffs, he’s got to win at least FIVE more rings before it will even be a a honest question.

lol salty people in this thread. He's arguably the best quarterback in the NFL. Even if you don't like American football, he's one of the most elite athletes on this planet. He's probably at Wimbledon because he enjoys watching other elite players excel at their sport. Why the hate? He's probably a nice guy.

I don't think Michael Jordan watches tennis.
He does actually.

But the real GOAT plays tennis on the side.

Greatest QB of the 2020s, so far.
Definitely not a GOAT. The real GOAT beat him badly in 2021 SB.
No hate, just putting facts in for short term memory folks..
Yes, Tom Brady was responsible for one of the all-time great defensive line performances in a Super Bowl, constantly putting pressure on Mahomes, and was also responsible for the Chiefs getting 100 penalty yards in the first half. Wow, what a GOAT! Next you'll be telling me Peyton Manning peaked at Super Bowl 50.

Tom Brady’s 2-0 against this mug in the playoffs. He’s lucky every1 else is soft now. I will say he is the most talented quarterback of all time.

No hate from me, just said ive never heard about him or seen him. As far as i know American football is mainly played in the US. Basketball is a lot more popular also outside the US. Football (soccer) is more or less THE only team sport in europe, everything else is small compared to that.

Dont really know why, a lot of american things have been adopted in europe, everything from McDonalds to Snoop Dogg, and Basketball and wrestling. It seems American football and country music mainly stays in the US though.

Most norwegians have never heard of Garth Brooks or Tom Brady. Tom Brady is probably most known for beeing Giseles ex husband in Norway lol.

i know for only one his song and ritm and the most "catchy" thing with it is stolen

Are you calling this guy, whoever he is, "GOAT" because of the funny thing he has on his chin?

Funny shades, too.
Mahomes is not content with achieving GOAThood as a QB, he wants to become a literal farmyard goat, hence the billygoat beard.

I recommend watching him as a once-off experience even if you have no interest in football in general.

The guy plays with field vision and skill to the point where it looks like he is playing chess when everyone else on field is playing checkers.

I'll be telling you a win is a wins. For Brady, it's a team win in all of his SB victories.
I guess in the 2020s only Mahomes was responsible for the win, not Kelce or Chris Jones.

Nah, greatest Laker is actually Kobe who became a 4.5 after retirement. Steve Nash is a legit 5.0.
Lebron has an eastern grip fh.. lol

c'mon. we've had this discussion.
There is not any GOAT in any sport that has a losing record in the championship finals or has been swept 2x, ever!.
The GOAT always rises above adversity and still has the most famous brand 20+ yrs after retirement.

LBJ's Inflated stats in an extremely weak eastern conf. and high turnover ratios don't cut it.

LeBron doesn’t have a high turnover ratio at all among high volume playmakers. I wonder what you think of Magic and Nash, lol…

As for the losing in the finals thing, I’d much prefer winning three playoff rounds than to lose in the first and second round, but your mileage may vary

Love Magic. Never was a ball dominant fan of Nash, CP3 or Luka.

So GOATs are judged in their first few years, not their prime and egocentric twilight of their career?

Use Google or chatGPT "Who has the highest turnover ratio in the NBA?"
- "LeBron James has the most career turnovers with 5,211 turnovers and 58.9% turnover ratio, higher that Russell Westbrook.
what did you says Charles? "That is turrible" - Barkley.

A little bit more:
- LeBron James had his most turnovers per game in an NBA Finals with 5.8 per game. Jordan is 2.8. yes, an assassin scorer who drives does handle the ball a lot.

My GOAT choice is with:
- 6 finals MVPs in 6 finals.
- no need for a Ray Allen or Kyrie to hit a winning or game tying shot in the finals. Pippen never could do that, okay, Kerr and Paxon helped but it's always about the team.
- winning shot in NCAA finals
There is no debate or question.. The majority of people born in the 90s think LeBron is the best and i get it b/c that's all they see similar to those who saw a sasquatch, chupacabra, religious signs on a tree, etc. so they believe what they want to believe and cannot be helped.

By using the Lebron GOAT logic one would call Mahomes the GOAT by 2034 if he made 10 SB's but lost 6 of them and in two losses his team got beat 21-0 which is the equivalent of a dominant sweep.

Just getting to lots of finals is not a GOAT. Gotta win it all. Sorry stat champs Wilt & Bron. They're great, actually outstanding, but most of the time in the finals Bron' deferred too much. That Dallas series loss has no excuse being up 2-0, nor the last Warriors/Cavs battle. I wish he was 6-4 in finals then maybe there's a debate. I'll give him the NBA longevity GOAT trophy all day.

let's hypothetically say Alcaraz gets to 50 slam finals and wins 23 of them and got only 3 and 4 games in two slam finals. He is not the GOAT.
