Earth's Mightiest Warrior will be happy to see that development, as I am sure so would Fed. Time to see if what even I thought was beyond comprehension once upon a time, a fifth Wimbledon title being held up high by the defender of justice and freedom. :)

Wimbledon is where Novak has risen like a phoenix and with Federer ideally on the opposite side of the draw, the time is now. Time to unleash.

Nadal-Djoker semi wasn't happening then, isn't happening now...last year was an aberration/miscalculation due to Djok's low ranking.

All in all, this is of no relevance since Fedal semi will be set up irresepctive of whether Fed or Nadal is #2.

Nadal and Djokovic need to be on opposites sides , They’re the real Top 2

You are aware of how grass seeding is decided, yes? Who won the last two Wimbledon titles? I have no issues with Nadal pairing up with Federer, hope you get your wish. ;)

The current mask is set to expire on July 8, but depending on when this encounter takes place... level up may be required.:eek::giggle::sneaky::whistle:

The Fedal encounter?

Welcome back, @Hitman. I don't think I saw you here starting from RG semifinals.

Thanks. Yes, I was travelling in Tunsia at the time, went into the Sahara desert, but got injured, tore my left triceps tendon doing some power snatches. Had an electrolyte imbalance due to the desert heat, and it caused a tear. Had internal bleeding, and had to wait it out before getting back to the airport and flying back home.

I do agree with this. Federer shouldn't really be #2 seed, Djokodal are clearly the two best players right now and should have a face off in the final if it would come to that, not before.
Wimby’s special.

They honor the best players in their house (and the hice that matter).

And they don’t give two ****s about the cheap knockoffs.

Doesn't matter whether you agree or not, the seeding for Wimbledon has traditionally followed a formula. Nadal was fully aware of this formula, and if he wanted to, he could have played a grass event to ensure he got the number two seeding. Not Federer's fault that Nadal knowingly sat it out knowing the risks should Federer win Halle.

Well, it is known that's not the safest place to travel. Hope you are better now.

I have been to some extreme places before, but I wanted to experience the power of the Sahara Desert. and trust me, when you go deep into that place, it's just insane. Home and everything you know seems a very long way away. But thanks. Not back in the gym yet, will need to wait a bit.

Nadal by some miracle managed to save his clay season at the last 2 tournaments so I guess he didn't want to play after that. But now I think maybe he should have played 2 matches in Queens. His chances to win another Wimbledon after last year are extremely low but they would still be just a bit higher if he was seeded second.

oh lord why is it that everyone someone is whining about the wimbledon seedings. they have their own formula and it has been this way for many years, if people have issues request more grass court tournaments.

As a Nadal fan, I prefer Djokovic in the SF.

So every fanbase should be happy with Nadal in Djokovic's side, which allows potential Fedovic/Fedal final.

I understand it is not so easy for Nadal, who would have put not only a lot of mental and physical energy into the important part of the season for him, but also emotional energy, so I get why he wouldn't want to pick up his bags and head off to the grass courts. But, he didn't need to win too many matches, so he could have put the effort in. I guess he put a gamble on Federer being too tired from playing deep into the clay season also.

Can’t remember , Probably only when it benefits Nadal. It’s 12 months to earn your seeding and Nadal earned #2. Creating your own ranking shouldn’t be allowed

Maybe you are right, that is up for debate, but something which has existed with Wimbledon for a while. It is not something new that was brought out this year.

I'm not whining, it's just that it doesn't feel like Fed is ahead of either of the 2.

One massive advantage playing into Federer's hands by being on the opposite side of the draw to Djokovic, I doubt Federer will be moved off Center Court this time for the entire duration of his time. Last year, Djokovic had only played once on Center Court before the quarters, this time round he will play the entire first week on that court, so when the time comes for the second week, I fully expect Nadal and Djokovic once each to play on court one for the fourth round and quarter finals.

Federer will not being moving off of Center court for this entire campaign.

Really good point.

There was some 11th hour campaigning last year that got RF bounced to Court 1, I think, for that fateful match.

Was reviewing last year’s scorelines, and the outcome of that match is still shocking.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Nadal in Novak's half. After last year there would be a lot of anticipation for a rematch. Especially since we just had a Fedal slam semi.

Neither outcome would surprise me though.

I think Nad goes to Federer’s half.

Think about it from AELTC’s perspective.

Win-win for them. Increases the odds that they got a blockbuster final.

I welcome it. Fed’s window should have closed ages ago anyway.

Going to be some big upsets this year, IMO. Also potentially on the table...?

Opportunity to slay all. :giggle::giggle::giggle::whistle:

Last year Djokovic had some weight behind his request, in that all the remaining matches would be played on Center Court, and if he had only played there once leading in, then other players will have the advantage of being better attuned to the court conditions. Now, if Djokovic was an up and comer, he wouldn't have got away with it, but being a three time champion, his words had merit.

Federer got moved, and we all know what happened next. That will not happen this edition, because Nadal and Djokovic will play all their early matches on Center Court, there is no Murray around either. So, by the time the second weeks comes, I doubt either would be complaining about playing one of their matches, whether it is a 4th round or a quarter final on the court one arena. Federer will be that much harder to beat on Center court as a result.
