The icy relationship between Sinner and Djokovic

Winner Sinner

For this supposedly being their first casual meeting of 2025, one can suspect the little empathy that exists between the two at this time.
Insinuations for their own sake or is it really like that?
The fact remains that when one of the two meets Alcaraz, something more is noticeable than an apparently icy handshake.
Djokovic may very well be annoyed by the case of Sinner's positive tests judged with unfair treatment, and Sinner may in turn be annoyed by those statements of the Serbian with the aggravating circumstance of pandering to the clown Kyrgios.

You are over thinking it.

Since the 2023 Davis Cup, where Sinner saved match points against him, the Italian has exerted clear dominance against the Serbian and it is very likely that he will not lose against him again.
:D

Not sure if anything amiss happened there. What are Djoker and Sinner supposed to do, hug it out each time they run into each other in public?
Yes, even if they don't play each other at this AO, Sinner and Djokovic are likely to cross paths a dozen times. There's no need for them to treat such casual encounters as special occasions. We can expect that most randomly selected pairs of players are just cordial colleagues rather than bosom buddies, especially if there's a huge age gap. Should Stan Wawrinka jump for joy every time he sees Carlos Alcaraz?

What's even weirder is the guy effusively hugging Djokovic is Ulises Badio, his old physio who now works for Sinner.

And yeah that was cold AF. Only strengthened my theory that they don't like each other and Djoko is probably behind Sinner's current troubles.

Sinner is an ice queen, I don't think he really likes anyone, similar to Nadal...he would rather just kill everyone in the room than answer their stupid questions

Hope they play 4 more times so we will have double digit matches. Currently at 6.

Sorry already at 8. Very likely to reach double digits.

Totally agree, dude is an assassin. Most guys would struggle with all the allegations, Sinner gives no f's. I like him much more because of it.

Sinner mindset is what will probably push him ahead of Alcaraz historically. Zen like.

Yeah I didn't quite say all that, let's calm down here lol

Sinner got tilted vs Tiafoe of all people because he's so tightly wound that he can't even take a joke from the tour's biggest clown. That was before he got on the PED stack, since then yes he's been bery confident no?

And luckily I specified that when Djokovic meets Alcaraz in these situations the two always stop to talk with giggles attached, so the age difference has nothing to do with it.
If Sinner has a minimum of pride he should consider Djokovic's modus operandi on his case of positives absolutely out of place given that the Serbian has made ambiguous statements in bad faith given that he is not stupid nor uninformed, he is only trying to generate scorched earth around the Italian.
Comparing his case to that of colleagues sanctioned for having evaded anti-doping controls is bad faith in its raw state.

Having said that, I did not create a case out of nothing.
In Italy various sites have reported that video alluding to a cold relationship between the two;

That's not Uli at all.

Yes, the age gap, them being rivals and the fact that Sinner seems like a guy who generally keeps himself to himself would seem to preclude any deep friendship!
Yep. Sinner is an introvert. Its very hard to connect with him for Nole. Nole is more of an extrovert.

Perhaps Djokovic sees Sinner as potentially a cheat and getting rewarded for it, while Djokovic got punished and denied a slam for doing nothing wrong e.g. Deportation from Australia for following the rules

nah. We have seen tens of much warmer salutes from sinner to everybody in the circus.
this is just the obvious reaction from the Italian to 1) the recent and I would add absurd accusation of Nole regarding the transparency of doping process 2) the new Australian game companion

Nobody likes your guy. I'll give you one guess why is that...

Starting a thread about Djokovic and Sinner,

then OP couldn't resist to include Kyrgios in it.

Kyrgios is more popular than the whole ATP and WTA combined, LOL.

If you consider the backdrop of sinner's positive test, and my theory that Djoko had a hand in it, it's very interesting indeed
Why you are dragging novak in it. Did novak told sinner trainer to put cream and then told medical experts to check on sinner .
By the way a great suspense thriller you can write . How the game is played behind the scence

Novak knew what to look for and when.

The whole tour is doped. Men and women. So there is no reason for Sinner to get popped unless something went wrong. Someone talked

I mean what are they supposed to do? Djoker is almost old enough to be his father. That’s why I don’t why he stays in tour. He has nothing in common with these children other than tennis. It’s so awkward to be the only adult on tour other than I guess monfils? LOL

The majority of the players I play at UTR tournaments are 11-18 sir

If you can outrun/outlast a junior player with an equal level of skill, you shouldn't stop

Yeah dude that was QUICK

Like he didn't even bother to say "hey bro I'm in a rush I'll catch you later"

Maybe they don't hate each other but there was no warmth there

@travelerajm @messiahrobins still like my theory about Djoko ratting Sinner out? I like it even more now
You’ve got the inside scoop on some of this tennis gossip man.

That was pretty juicy the other day when you mentioned PM possibly fathering Osaka’s baby. o_O

I thought the father was supposed to be YBG Pinhead or whatever his name is lol.

Cordae lol.

And I didn't say that baby--I said her SECOND baby (yet to be born)

And after I said that, about 24 hours ago, she confirmed that her and Cordae are split after a 5yr courtship

I don't even have the inside scoop. It's all inference/gut/deduction and knowing how "behind the scenes" works in public-facing industries

I think you’re onto something.

Gross. PM is like 55 and Osaka is 26.

It's only gross from the outside.

One weird thing I found out after my marriage ended is that women care about age much less than I thought. I'm almost 44 and the oldest woman I've dated or been physical with since hitting the market is 27

If you look good and are fun to be around, they do not care and some are even looking for that (and it's not just about money, I'm broke)

I think you might be right about the other thing too. That Sinner / Novak coaching switcheroo and the timing of the other stuff was very interesting lol.

Oh that I'm 99% sure about

I'm confident in that, and my whole Becker/Pepe theory. And the PM/Serena baby theory as well.

Osaka-Patrick as a couple is more farfetched but him dating Serena seemed farfetched at first too
