I don't think that theory is necessarily true because I don't think there was that much of a 'comeback' to accelerate.

This injury was way over hyped as usual by Djokovic.

I will say though as I have elsewhere that it's very ironic to have the stamina deficient player turned loaf of bread hugging iron man late in his 30s be seen in any way as a spokesman for clean tennis.

Not sure where you've been but I really missed you calling for me to be banned and evaluated for mental health concerns because of things I wrote about Rafa

If everyone is doping, which I more or less believe, and the tour is aware and protects the top talent, then something odd must have happened to jam Sinner up. These things are usually handled very quietly

I've been here off and on over the period you're referencing. I couldn't recall the comments you reference well enough to say how tongue in cheek they were vs a commentary on something more noteworthy as that was quite some time ago.

Regarding Sinner, as I said I think it's at the very least odd that something associated with Djokovic should be leading the charge given Djokovic's bizarre transformation from stamina starved player to iron man after hugging a loaf of bread.

People may have forgotten that there had always been a lot of talk about Djokovic and his magic potions, even among other people in the pro tennis orbit.

And I do with you well. Djokovic usually has a very different way of speaking on behalf of other players and with Sinner, it's been noticeable for a while that this has not been the case.

Add to this his refusal to disavow his late in life pal Kyrgios in his crusade against Sinner and I think it hints pretty clearly at what's going on.

Easy to see Djoko not doing the usual overcomplimenting, using Nick as his attack dog. Only the clueless don't see

Very much so. When you look at Djokovic and his comments about other players who have had legal problems through the years, he's always extended them a huge benefit of he doubt and never tolerated attacks on them.

One might say he even seemed to take those attacks personally.

In this case, he's noticeably different

If everyone is thinking the same, the. Why arent they speaking up. Except him and his cronies, everyone has moved on whereas they keep on digging this up.

And what are the complains exactly. That it was not accidental. Hush Hush talk won't help without any proof
There were many hush hush talks during Djokovics injury in AO 21 and how he is playing with torn muscle. Does that prove anything.

As for favouritism, top players get favoured all the time. Djokovic got all the favoured scheduling and all time outs in AO 21.
 
Yesterday I listened to the interview and he was asked about it. He was open throughout the entire conversation, so he was open about his take on this Sinner Saga. Notice how Piers tried a joke to call Jannik a sinner with a family name like his, haha? Why so defensive?

That was below the belt. When such serious topic was being discussed, why crack such a low level joke in such a mood. And Djokovic sort of didn't know what to react. He should have said shouldnt say such things etc
 
It would be very annoying being the all time slam record holder and seeing some doper come along racking up slams when you are close to retirement

Celebrity interviews are scripted to some extent. He must be knowing about that question . His response had a lot of bitterness. I wonder why only he and not other AtGs. And not alcaraz and other current players for that matter

Many people raised question about the suspension in Fed. Other than Djoker it was Henman, serena etc.

Exactly. Djokovic had no obligation to give a detailed answer to any particular question, particularly a loaded one. Just say, "I'm happy that the sport of tennis has put that episode behind us, and I don't have any further comments."

But beyond being impolitic, I think Djokovic was also disingenuous. His answer about the "cloud" obviously had the makings of a self-fulfilling prophecy. If someone on TTW wants to blather about Sinner and drug testing till kingdom come, no one outside the forum cares. It makes no difference to the wider world. But when Novak Djokovic sits down with a famous provocateur for a televised interview, he will have an impact. Saying, "This cloud will continue to follow him around" is creating the ill fame he purports to be forecasting! Djokovic is intelligent enough to realize that. It's like saying, "I won't mention your several violent felony convictions as a reason to disagree with you in our debate."

I always say “Djoko is tennis Trump” and this was Djoko doing the “many people are saying…” tactic
 
It is funny that people here who complain of the bland Fedal answers to questions (with the exception of their talking about Djokovic negatively at times), may now be the same people who complain about Djokovic speaking his mind.

He has always seemed to protect the sport more than individuals and asking for transparency in how things are administered for everyone seems very reasonable to me.

He may or may not like Sinner, but I think most of this discussion has been a big reach to come to the conclusion that he hate Jannik.

Full disclosure, I like Sinner, take him at his word that the exposure was an accident, and have noticed he has done very well even after there presumably are no steroids in his system.
