G.O.A.T.
So, I did the review on the kBlade 98 a few days ago and my opinion was that if you have a nBlade MP, there is really no reason to switch. I played with the nBlade for about a year now, and the kBlade 98 felt pretty much the same in all aspects -- slightly more power and control, but nothing worth changing...
HOWEVER, The Tour is a completely diffenrent story, again, in my opinion.
Right off the bat, the weight difference is noticale in a very positive way. The racket feels very solid,no need to use the dampener... I played with the kBlade (demo) for 3 days, about 6-7 hours total, and then purchased my own...
POWER:
Definitely noticeable power increase as compared to the nBlade (as expected). Even very much more power as compared to my nBlade +18g of lead...
CONTROL:
Again, very noticeable smaller sweet spot and less forgiving racket. A nice thing about nBlade was/is that it is a very forgiving racket with a huge sweet spot. The kBlade Tour is for a more mature player...great control, but you have to hit it right.
SERVE:
Definitely more power. Still, easy to control, took me only about 10 serves to tune in. Very good feel about the serve.
VOLLEYS:
Now, if you're a S&V player as I am, this racket is a must. Unbelievable difference at the net. Much easier to hit the volleys deep, hard and with a great control.
GROUND STROKES:
Spins are nice, but need a little bit more work than with the nBlade. I wish I could get rid of the western grip, and hit flat, but I guess that will take some time.
Two-handed BH is great and powerful. Slices are with more control than with the nBlade.
So, definitely recommended racket, especially if you're a s&v type player or like playing at the net. It takes some time to get used to it, but the racket feels just right, with a perfect balance.
