Hopefully not, but yes there is a chance. Maybe we get round III in his series of matches against Novak. So there's a good chance he'll "disappear" until the grass season.
Really? According to the TW pundits here Djokovic was never going to lose to a hack named Mensik. There are plenty more "hacks" out there.Feels a bit hollow for Novak to be at 99 but based on his level he will win multiple m1000 this year
I have to admit I was definitely one of those folks saying Djokovic was going to win (basing a lot on how high his level was in the QF against Korda).Really? According to the TW pundits here Djokovic was never going to lose to a hack named Mensik. There are plenty more "hacks" out there.
The Mensik era begins.......hot on the heels of the Draper era.![]()
Overall, Novak played very well but it seemed to me that by the end of the second set, he ran out of gas which will make it difficult for him to win any more big tournaments, never mind slams. Time Will Tell. It’s his world now - we just live in it.
Feels a bit hollow for Novak to be at 99 but based on his level he will win multiple m1000 this year.I
But the main takeaway is undoubtedly Mensik. I thought he showed some mental fragility in Australia but he has proven me wrong with that double-breaker final.
We should see Part III of the Mensik - Djokovic trilogy at some point in the clay swing.
IMO, Ruud will not be in the top 10 by the end of the year. What? No FRITZ? No Shelton?
That's the main thing for me.
After the first clay masters there will probably be 10 “Arthur Fils Era” posts
I think we’re all just super excited that suddenly there are so many great young players emerging.
Berdych?I want you to remember a very talented, but slamless Czech player who also won his masters 1000 title at 19, 20 years ago. @Subway Tennis
That’s because he’s still growing.. He kept playing better as the tournament progressed.
@Subway Tennis i mean come on if even Feddie is able to analyze correctly this is a big swing and miss for youhe's just flash in the pan, he won't even make the top 10 this year
Menšík - Djoko fanRafa gave an inspirational speech to the Next Generation:
The main point is: the impact of Rafa's inspirational speech.Menšík - Djoko fan
Menšík - names his dog Rafa
Menšík - bails out of Rafa interview because needs to practice
We can conclude that Rafa is not his favorite
They should have invited Fils ..
I’m on the hype train big-time with about 8 players at the moment lol. Nostradamus is being the voice of reason.@Subway Tennis i mean come on if even Feddie is able to analyze correctly this is a big swing and miss for you
Please elaborate how did you accomplish that viewing experience. The guy moves around the court like an alien in a human suit from MIB
Rafa is a huge influence on all these young guys. To push yourself physically and mentally to the absolute limit and still have the level of mental control Nadal had and not have a bad temper and do bad actions on the court. All these young guys want to have that.Rafa gave an inspirational speech to the Next Generation:
The Czech succumbed to Vitaliy Sachko with a score of 6-4, 1-6, 7-5, despite being 3-5 up in the third set.
And BublikAs outsider I forgot to put Mensik. He will end 11-15 at least this year
that didn't last... a walkover for the old man.FINALLY!
Mensik vs Djokovic III
And what a stage for it to be happening on. I don't like Mensik's chances against GOATovic in this type of form but it should be entertaining nonetheless.

Among the players still in the draw, except for Alcaraz or Sinner, Zverev stands out as the one with the strongest chance of challenging Djokovic.
I hope so. It would be an incredible run and well deserved.Among the players still in the draw, except for Alcaraz or Sinner, Zverev stands out as the one with the strongest chance of challenging Djokovic.
That is where we stand now.

The Mensik era was very short-lived!
It’s his world now - we just live in it.

the fact that Rafa's name is up there 4 times....seems just insane (and had the list gone to the top 15 or 20, his name would appear a couple more times)--and he was 3 points away from winning a Fifth M1000 in 2005 in Miami vs Fed. Rafa's teen accomplishments are RIDICULOUS and get overlooked way too often
He was matching sinners pace and depth while moving quite well. All I can say is wow. Second most dangerous pure ball striker on tour at his best.
