Haha. Coric and Delbonis are playing Marrakech along with Almagro. Will their clay court potential shine through this week?
We have a thread on Houston, but Sock defends with youngsters Chung and Paul (2015 Junior French open champion) on court too.

Coric grinding away at 5 all with Mathieu. Gave back break earlier in set. Marrakech

Haha. Coric had 6-3 in breaker and serving for it and lost it 6-8. Won 2nd set. Won 2nd set 6-3. Now Borna getting MTO for hip(?) at 2-3 in 3rd on serve. Borna falling apart at young age.

Coric wrapped things up nicely and really should have won his match in two. A decent win, but Mathieu nothing to write home about on clay.

The Delbonis run continues with a nice win over Busta. Delbonis and Coric await to see who their opponents will be in SF.

Vesely sends older G Lopez home and is into semi with nice win. 7-2 in 2nd set breaker. Coric vs Vesely next.

Really looking forward to Coric vs Vesely, Vesely was pretty hyped 3 years ago.

Vesely doesn't have great stats on clay, but the player he beat today was no slouch. I expect Coric to do rather well on clay this year as he actually shows better hard courts stats this year despite dropping in the rankings.Coric is no slouch on clay so the expected stats he will achieve should get him deep in a few tournaments. This will be a nice match and if Coric wins Delbonis likely awaits and that will be another server test as Delbonis on fire on clay this year.

Coric has vultured his way to the SFs with a bye, a w/o and a three-set struggle vs ancient PHM. I'm not too optimistic about much more from him this week or for the clay season in general.

Coric had horrible stats on hard courts last year and they were a little less horrible in 2016. Clay was good last year and a little bit better will make a big difference. Coric is a tough nut to crack on clay and from what I saw today he does look a bit stronger and has a heavy enough ball to do damage. He has very respectable serve numbers accross the board on clay. The return was the weakness last year and so he's likely to get some improvement there for sure. Coric made QF at Estoril and SF at Nice last Spring. He should make a big move on points and get his ranking back up. Top 32 by French would be something.
