The most comfortable racket you've played with?

The 93P was certainly nice. I am going to give them both another shootout on Monday.
The 93P demo is strung with Hawk Touch 17 @ 47 lbs.
My Ultra Tour is strung with Bab VS Touch Gut 16 mains @ 50 and Luxilon Element 16L crosses @48.

I'd like the Ultra Tour better too if the stringing was like this. 93P is a string sensitive racket. It will feel boardy until you get the poly below 45 and if you liked gut/poly in the Ultra tour you'd like it in the 93P.

It's kind of funny that people do demo's with all sorts of different strings and then relate differences to the frame when probably more weight should be given to strings. That's what touches the ball after all.

Problem with liking these old Dunlops is finding them. The current Dunlop Srixons are not the same.

That is very true and a good point. The strings can radically change the feel of a frame.

Well, I didn't have the luxury of stringing my demo to the specs I like. :(
Does TW do that? Ship you a demo to your specs?

I agree. But most of the time you can not choose the strings you want on a demo.

Yes I agree. Luckily for me I nabbed two Dunlop Bio Pluses and a bunch of Max200G's. :)

When I first got the 93P I put 16g strings in it, which was what I had around, at low 50's tension. Loved how the racket swung and it had excellent control for volleys but felt boardy and lacked spin and pop. Moved to thinner gauges and steadily lowered tensions and the racket came alive. More pop, more spin, bigger sweetspot but still with great control.

that's pretty sweet. it may be an old racket but its still a good one. Kind of like my POG 107. Goes to show that most of the "new" racket technology is largely window dressing.

Original Babolat Pure Control (swirly model) strung with Babolat Fibretour full bed.

So plush it was like hitting with a pillow.

Too bad they don't make Fibretour anymore.

Thus far, the Prince T Extreme Tour 95 is the most comfortable racquet I have played with. Doesn't feel like 64 at all in comparison to the identically rated Tour G 310 of mine, being my regular racquet. This one is way more muted. Almost too much for me, I want to still hear some noise off the strings for feedback. The most beautiful feel I have found in a racquet is still the Head Liquidmetal Radical. Mind I have never laid hands on a PS85 or Prestige.

Hands down the Microgel OS.
And this will surprise you but: Wilson Six.One 95s - something about this racquet is wonderful - it is really kicking ass in stock form - but it must be strung @ max 23kg.

Prince Tour Pro 98
Prince Textreme Tour 100p
Yonex Ezone 98 305
HEAD radical OS
Prince Classic Graphite 100 / 107

I can easily name several lines of rackets that are famous for causing arm problems, and a few of them are listed in this thread.

Would love to see it! Jealous! What’s the weight?’

Angell TC95 63ra 16x19 335g strung with leather poly a little too low in tension
woo - what setup do you have atm?
i have been using soft poly in low tension lately on the K7 Red and TC100 63RA - loved the feel of them both.
My next experiment would be the TC95, so am interested in your setup/thoughts. thanks.

to add to an already long list: vcore95
Angell K7 Lime
Prince Tour 100 310

TC95 I find comfy but a firmer feel due to foam filling, so its just a matter of taste. Strings and weight also make a big difference surely.

my current favourite is vcore 95 with a hybrid multi/poly string a mid/low tension and SW close to 340 providing ample power and plow in addition to feel, comfort and control. just my personal preference of course.

You might find it interesting that I was playing with Wilson Clash Tour 100’s before purchasing the TC95 at Paul’s suggestion. I was nervous about the smaller head. I love the racket. Soft, maneuverable, super powerful and believe it or not, it’s forgiving.

Tecnifibre black code lost tension fast. I’m using tecnifibre razor strung at 46# and I think after 1-2 hours it settles around 41# which is ok. I don’t like it below 40 and would prefer it stayed around 45#.

What have you tried In the K7 and 100? I really want to try them out.

Don’t go to the 97.

100% agree with this. waiting for the 2nd one to arrive, so i can match both.
i was very close to get a TC97, but changed my mind & kept the K7 Red.

i strung up K7 Red with Pro's Pro Red Devil 1.19 at 33lb/31lb just for fun and the first few mins was strange, but it felt great after that. the soft and pocketing feel was amazing. it had a decent control too. had fun in the first 2 hours and won a couple of sets with that (friendly with mates).

strung up TC100 with Pro's Pro Eruption 1.18 at 33lb/31lb (due to the above, so wanted to try with a shaped string) - it felt similar to the K7, but with more bite. Enjoyed it too. Thought i'd try it at the beginning of a warm up session before a local leagues match, in the end i used it and won in two sets.

so, i will setup the TC95s with Red Devil and Eruption at the same tension (33lb/31lb) and see which I like best. Currently i have the Halo 3 initially strung at 54lb and i loved how it played. will see how it goes later.

Strung at 33/31 ....wow that’s bold !
Thanks for sharing, I’ll get less stressed when mine drop down in tension

In the modern age, I'd have to say the PK Redondo. Only because I haven't yet tried out the PT57. For me, comfort is a function of flex and weight. The more flexible, the more comfortable. The tradeoff is power and that's why TW doesn't sell the PK Redondo anymore. I never tried the Mid-Plus and I might have been happy with that with the right amount of weight. My current racquets are very comfortable and a good compromise between weight and power.
