It's perhaps a bit too soon to tell IMO, we shall see what happens during the clay season, but all I know is there is a lot of WTA threads on the first page right now, and the Indian Wells WTA threads almost has as many posts as the ATP one, something is happening !

I think the Clay season might give the impression that Swiatek is still at a level WELL ABOVE the other 2 because how dominant she is on that surface( she owns it), and where the other 2 have yet to find their feet. But I don't think that would necessarily give the full picture.

While I think Iga is the clear frontrunner, when you look at all the surfaces together, I don't see the gap between her, Elena, and Aryna, as very big.

Out of the 3, the one I worry about and who I think is the 'flimsiest' member here is Sabalenka. She has been inconsistent in the past and a little emotionally fragile. Is this currently a good form period for her or a true reflection of her level going forward? That we will have to wait and see.

I could swear Jabeur was in last year Wim and USO finals until she fell of the cliff due injuries /burnout.
With WTA nothing is certain for now long period of time. I'll rather wait at least until 2023 season is completed to see what will happen. Fruhvirtova girls are coming

Personally find Elena powerful game her calm presence on&off the court sight to behold, but from the 3 imo Sabalenka has most complete game, serve, FH, BH , net game

Do you mean Peak Serena? Sure. But Serena post Jan 2017 has been a shade of her former self. Just 1 title in her last 5 years on tour (Auckland Open where she beat Pegula) and many losses along the way to all sorts of mugs. I think the current Serena would get absolutely worked by these 3.

You know, joking aside, I can see Peak Raducanu being in the contention, very much like a 4th player to a Top 3. But poor girl can't stay fit. She is destined to be the next Del Potro methinks.
