The New Nike Breathe Free III's

I dont know about you guys, but these new shoes are terrible looking. I would only wear these things if they were given to me. The reason why i like the Vapor Speeds and the breathe free 2's was because they looked like tennis shoes. You could look at them and tell that they were in fact "TENNIS" shoes. These shoes look more like something you would see at an NBA game or something.

Nike made a big mistake by releasing these shoes, because i will be loyal to them, but i see alot of nike fans switching to ADIDAS after this ugly line just came out.

All i have to say is that i hope TennisWarehouse continues to carry the vapor speeds and the breathe free II's because if not, im an ADIDAS person.

If i wanted to buy basketball shoes, i would sho at BasketballWarehouse, im very disappionted. I just hope thier clothing line is good, and i hope it goes with the Breathe Free II's and the Vapor Speeds
 
I can't believe Nike didn't consult you before they came out with these shoes.
Hopefully the damage will be minimal.
 
haha...i know right.

Im just saying, with the close rivalry with ADIDAS, they cant afford a bomb like this. I dont know though, alot of people might like them. Thats just my 2 cents.
 
I agree that the Nike Breathe III looks incredibly ugly, but the new Vapors look alright, at least from the only pictures available.
 
we'll just have to see how the new colorways look. but from the design itself and from the pics of other colorways i saw....yeah..they're disgusting
 
Ugly as hell! Honestly I was a big time NIke fan. From the best of them all- Air court motion-(anyone knows where to find them?) to the breathe free 1 to the first resolves (resolve 2 are awful). But now this!??

Im so glad I switched from nike to adidas.
 
I've been a loyal BFII guy, so I am also disappointed with the way the new BFIII looks. I think the design might actually look OK if it weren't for the obnoxiously large Swoosh logo on the side!!!

As for positives, I am glad that they have modified the tongue design and have kept the 6 month durability guarantee. It also looks like they may have changed the sole design and beefed up the big toe area, which is where my BFIIs always wore out first. Bottom line for me is how comfortable the shoe is and how it performs, and I am anxious to see what the playtest feedback is.
 
those shoes are so ugly as $%*)!!!! i don'tknow what happeend, i'm a nike person, i think i'll rather go for the adidas baricades, now those look clean!
 
Honestly, at first sight, these shoes really don't really grabb my attention. However, I think (especially with the BF3s), you might want to wait till they come out with some other colorlines which may look a bit more appealing.

Well, I won't be an "early adoptor" as I still have a good pair of BFIIs left. However, when those are due to be replaced under the durability guarantee, I would be willing to bet that Nike will give me a pair of BFIIIs instead. That will give me a chance to try a pair out before I actually have to buy some...

I just looked at the picture again and can't get over how big that Swoosh is!!! If they had kept it the same size as the Swoosh on the BFII, the shoe might not look quite as bad. By the way, did you look at them with the new 360 degree feature here on the TW site? I thought that gave a better perspective of the shoe... in particular, it did not look as high off the ground as I previously thought.
 
Yes, i looked at the 360 degree angle. I was hoping that maybe i would like them after getting some new angles, but they were still very ugly. Im hoping i might like them with some new colors.
 
I'm definitly sticking to the barricade IV. These shoes look ugly and look rather heavy. But i guess a bright side is....that it looks durable.
 
Nike Tennis Shoes

This years so far BF3 and Air Zoom 3 are without a doubt....UGLY. No way I am buying those color styles. We are male tennis players not fairys!!

This is by far the the best looking tennis shoe Nike has made the BF2, white with black trim. They should fire the color sheme designer for this 2006 line this person is CLUELESS about tennis shoes.

Here is the best looking Nike shoe...IMO.

and you are getting B4s? They are heavier than the Breathe threes... I tried on the Breath threes, 06 Vapors, and the B4s...all were VERY Nice, but out of the bunch, i chose the B3. It looks great in person to me...
 
i love the nike brethe 3s, i think they look kool, and theyve lasted great. awesome performance as well (i came from competative soccer so i go sliding all over the place on hardcourts anyways), im about to get my 2nd pair of those in the white/blue/yellow or the vapors but hey what do i know

i think the all white one's look awesome...the other one's are pretty gross.

I think the BF IIIs look much better in person. I also prefer the BF IIs though. They have a shorter break in period and IMO, look more like tennis shoes as the OP said. I did some drills with my coach last night in my BF IIIs and felt that they were a lot more comfortable than the first time I played in them. I still think they feel a little heavier and more clunky than the IIs. With that said, I've recently ordered another pair of IIs.

I bought the white/black trim BFII's for 59.99 at the nike outlet store, these are my favorite shoes.
 
I like my white BF3s. When I first saw them I really didn't like the way they looked. Once I got to check them out in person, they grew on me. The swoosh isn't as big as you think once you put them on your feet. The feel great and deliver great cushioning and support. I think the durability is better than the BF2s and that's a plus. Overall, I've come from a hater to a supporter of this shoe. Give it a try at least.

Yeah only local stores has such deals on odd size and color. but online and special tennis shop still sell for $110 and people buy..

No I don't like those new BF3 that are in your weblink because they still look like girl shoes. But I do like the new white/black BF3 that just came out this past week..they would look even better if the bottom of the soles were black around the outside edges of the shoes to give the shoe a more two tone classic look looking at it straight on. Like the BF2 picture above.

 
I think the problem with the BIII are the color options. well i just came across this color which i think looks the best thus far and it matches my college team colors.

color = white/black (good looking compare to all white BFIII)
size = 10.5

they only have 11 size left and two pairs only when I left

Oh, shoot! That's the store I go to also. And that's also my size that you bought the last pair of! Oh, well. I guess I'll just wait for their next sale. :(

well...if the all-white colorway and size 9 is an odd size and color....then i guess so.

my local store has everything for teh cheapest prices available. it's almost not even worth getting preferred player's deals since the frames are so cheap at the store. even better, they had this adidas redemption program where they take $20 off Breathe 3s, T-9, T-10, Crossfire II, and Wilson Tours...good stuff

well, no offense, but the air alarm might just be the worst looking nike tennis shoe of all time. i'm not busting on your taste, because to each their own. i'm busting on nike's design squad. awful.
 
if the Breathe III's were the II's then it wouldnt be that bad. But the II's look and play the sickest out of all the nike shoes I have ever used. This might cause the Breathe's to be discontinued. It will be interesting to see the revive shoes this fall
