Thought i would start a seperate thread about this frame. How many have tried it yet? What did you think of it? How does it compare to the previous SV version? What are other similar playing rackets out there (past or present)? And so on :)

It’s a strange one this. It’s very strong sensitive and I’ve settle on Poly Tour Pro at 55lbs. I’ve got lead at 6 and 9 and leather grip. I find that when I’m not being lazy with my mechanics it rewards me greatly. I’ve hit with the SV, DR98 and Vcore Duel G and Pro 97 (330g versions) and I’d rank the Pro 97 second place but by quite a distance. I never clicked with the Duel G line. Weirdly the closest I ever found to the 95D was a weighted up Tour F 93.

Out of the 3 new v cores that were released in the 27 inch this was my favourite. I really like the soft flex combined with the manuverability. It's my favourite Yonex right now from what I have tried. I tested this racquet alongside the new V Feel 10 Volkl's and this frame highlights how much stiffer the Volkl's have become. Great racquet.

I bought a gently used VC 95 a while back and have been tinkering with it. So far I've added a TW leather grip and 5g of lead tape at 9 & 3 which definitely improved feel. Still trying to figure out the best string setup for it though. Tried a full bed of YPTP at 50 lbs but found it too low powered for my taste. Going to try gut mains and Poly Tour Fire crosses next and see how that works out. I will say that even with equivalent weight added, it doesn't feel as rock solid as my DG 330 or even VCP 330. Guess it's like the old adage goes, there's no replacement for displacement. :-D

Vcore 95 is my current racquet. I came from the Prestige mid (graphene touch) and was looking for something bigger. Tested allot of raquets (Ezone98, vcore pro97, Vcore 98, speed 360 pro) but this is clearly the best one for me. It’s almost as maneuverable as my prestige mid but it plays allot bigger. Very fast. I play with Wilson syn gut & alu power hybrid at 24kg (53 pounds), which gives it a nice blend of control and power.

Do you add any weight?

I'm a current user, but all my comments are in the VCORE thread linked above (around page 25 or so and on). TLDR: great frame.
