The numbers behind the King

Talking about numbers, does anyone know how many times Joker has beaten Nadal in Slams?

It's a bit unfair to say that Nadal pwns Djokovic in Slam meetings and end the discussion.

They played in the 2006-2008 French Opens on clay in Nadal's best years, he had a huge advantage and no wonder he won all 3 meetings.

They also played at 2007 Wimbledon, Nadal's second best surface and Djokovic's worst. Even though Djokovic having his first big run at SW19 pushed Nadal in the first 2 sets (winning the 1st one) before retiring (he barely beat Baghdatis 7-6 7-6 6-7 4-6 7-5 after 5 hours of play in the previous round and generally had a tough road to the semis, in the 4th round he beat Hewitt 7-6 7-6 4-6 7-6)

2010 US Open - again Djokovic was unlucky to spend tons of energy in the previous round as he has to beat Federer in over 4 hours in the semis, saving match points.

Now since Djokovic is just entering his peak and Nadal is fading (as opposite to 2006-2008 where Nadal was in or close to his peak and Djokovic was only maturing as a player) let's see who gets on top in their eventual Slam meetings.

We know you're dumb. Are you blind as well?

Now, back to the subject. Please provide proof that Noel is not doping.

Only a blind person would believe these crazy glutenoid theories. (see what I did there?:) )

Again, please stop speculating he's not doping.

When you make an assertion it is up to you to prove it. Not the other way around, as a result Novak is 100% clean until proven otherwise.

****s are extremely dense though, so everyones best bet is to simply report them to the admin and have them banned.

No, I have not. You have been reported for condemning me and spreading lies about me. You are heartless Jackson Pile!

Namranger does make a good point but to be honest I personally think all the top stars in tennis(Fed,Nadal,Novak,Murray etc.)are doping or atleast were doping at some point in their career.

I mean Agassi coming clean and admitting he got away with just writing a freakin letter really says it all, tennis protects their golden geese.

This is pretty much the case in all the sports, except the ones where it gets way out of hand(cycling, baseball) and they have to serve someone on a platter.

Look at a sport like football(soccer). Watch matches from the 70-80's and then 90's and 00's. The latter not only plays a more grueling and faster style overall but they run the same in the first minute as in the 90'th. You watch clips from old football and it looks like slow motion.

Not to mention the increasing number of players collapsing on court or at practice suffering from heart conditions at ages like 19 or 21.

There are clear reported cases of major doping, like Juventus(see cannavaro doping) and its reported that Barcelona and Madrid have long standing traditions about visiting certain "physicians". And trust me, most top european clubs do the same thing to keep up. Hell, there are cases from less well knows clubs from other countries that have caught players so its only logical that the big boys do it as well.

I can agree with this, buet I also beleive that we could say the same thing of the lower level players, the difference is the talent. I mean, remember Odesnik?

This is hilarious, you do realize tenis1 is a reincarnation of one of the biggest trolls who has ever posted on these boards, simply acting coy to not give it away. But by all means give him advice on how to report a thread. :)

What I stated is the truth in that quote.

If we use Lsmkenpo's logic though, we just ignore the fact that there was no pressure and just assume that he utilized PEDs after the FO and suddenly in a short span of a week became a godlike player. Remember, **** logic knows no bounds. I'm simply utilizing Lsmkenpo's amazing logic that the only way to explain a player's sudden surge in level of play is PEDs.

I think he was capable of winning maybe 3 if he could get the right draws, particularly on HCs. Nadal played obscenely well at the USO, and Djokovic played nowhere near the level he was even capable of (in that final, he didn't even play up to his 2007/2008 level, let alone the level he is playing at now).

Now, he's likely capable of winning at LEAST 5 to 6, if not more.

Yes, and Nadal's level is not close to that standard right now...

So, you know it happens in other sports but refuse to entertain the thought that it occurs in tennis. Why is that?

Did you miss the part where I said that his happens in all sports(which kinda includes tennis as well)?

I said that only in the sports where it gets out of hand do they give someone to the press cause its just too freaking obvious.

I don't remember saying that it surely doesn't happen in tennis, I think I said at the time that I don't think it occurs as frequently as in other sports.

Guys that do use in tennis probably do it for recovery IMO.

I get a kick out of seeing people compare muscle size as if that is the main component of whether someone dopes or not. The THASP site(most famed site for doping in tennis) only shows guys and gals with bulging muscles on the site despite the fact that a lot of players who take PED are skinny.

If you read that site you would think bigger muscles=bigger PED user.

Oh, and no one knows how to explain Djoker's success. They have been banging on the muscles thing for years now(obviously with Nadal at the forefront) and now they don't know how to explain Djoker, who is cut and skinny, not bulky.

I asked on that site once but no answered me: how come Novak Djokovic, a guy from Serbia, has better PED's that Nadal, who supposedly has the whole Funtes biz behind him?

It's not about the PED itself, it's about NamRanger who thinks that Federer in 2004 looks more suspicious than Djokovic in 2011 and obviously it's the other way round. This is as far as the discussion is concerned.

For me, neither is taking **** until proven otherwise.

Um, Djokovic actually has some basis for his results. He was always a consistent player for years on end even in his worst years.

Federer at best won a slam and a YEC in 2003, and still was wildly erratic for the most part in 2003. So how did that guy go from wildly inconsistent to a 90% win percentage while also clobbering the entire top 10, while also winning 3 slams the next year? Is this some kind of joke? It's not even a comparison at all.

DJOKOVIC HASN'T EVEN WON ANOTHER SLAM. He's won a plethora of Master Tournaments and 1 slam. Marcelos Rios went on a similar run; he just didn't win the AO. Djokovic has been on fire, but it is nothing that wasn't out of reach for him.

So explain how a guy who went from a wildly erratic 2003 to 2004. There is no way you can explain it at all. You can't give me that nonsense about confidence; you don't just all of a sudden go from all early round exits in 3 out of 4 slams and then the next year win 3 out of 4.

You see how nice **** logic is? This is the same logic you are defending. Anyone with a brain can easily see how stupid Lsmkenpo's logic is. I'm doing nothing different at all; all he says is "well there's no basis for Djokovic to be doing this well."

There was 0 basis for Federer to go from 2003 to 2004 and just roll over everyone like that. None, at all. Zero. You cannot fathomably explain anything about how Federer went from one of the most wildly inconsistent players of his day into the most consistent and most dominant player in tennis history.

Your reading comprehension and logic is obviously very weak, or you are blinded by your hatred of Djokovic. Or, maybe you're just being a straight up troll. Either way, you and your butt buddy Lsmkenpo are getting beat up and down this thread and its quite hilarious.

I'm far from hating Djokovic. I even more like him than not. I also don't think that the guy's on something illegal cause that's utter bulls**t. I do, however think, that Federer had the basis in 2003 to go on to dominate the tour in 2004. He won Wimbledon losing 1 set, won 7 titles in total that year and finished it by pwning every top player he faced in the Tennis Masters Cup, handing bagels from left to right. Although Djokvic had some consistant results in 2008-2010, his run this year has been amazing cause simply no-one predicted that it would happen, especially after a crappy 2010. As for Federer he's been doing better and better every year till 2006, Djokovic was worse in 2009 compared to 2008 and worse in 2010 compared to 2009. If Djokovic went on a 2011 roll after his great 2008, it would be comparable to Federer going from 2003 to 2004.

I'll give it a shot:

Maybe:
- Djokovic is a better tennis player than Ralph, but can't beat gluten-free Ralph. Now that both are gluten-free, you can see the results.

- Ralph's body has become immune to gluten-free diet, so he needs to try another one. Djoker, meanwhile, is pretty new to this stuff, so he's reaping the benefit

- Ralph's team in desperation, tried another gluten-free diet in Doha. The results not so good, all that sweating and huffing an puffing at A0 '11. Strangely, the same symptoms were there in Rome early rounds, but the 'fever' went away and ralph mde it through to the finals. Although he lost, things are looking better.

How's that for tinfoil speculation?

The Serbian Open was Djokovic's chance to get some of his PEDs straight from source before entering Madrid. That's pretty much what that tournament is for.

This is perfectly reasonable.

I think they should make a clay rich in gluten for ****** to play on. Whenever ****** gets broken, he could just kick some of it in Djokovic's face.

I think posters are speculating Djokovic is more likely to have taken PED's because his change and his route to domination was a lot more 'physical' than Federer's, shall I say. By the way I believe neither player has even thought one minute about taking any performance enhancing supplements. Federer in 2001-2003 before he won Wimbledon was potential; If you watched him play he'd amaze you one moment and one UE etc he woud go bonkers and fly off the rail. Federer started dominating because of a change in his attitude mentally more than anything. He seemed a lot more reserved in his matches (a lot calmer mentally).

On the other hand. Djokovic has really taken his game to new heights because he's really worked his ass off to get into great shape. Both guys were very talented from the technical side of things. Mental and physical improvements in their games respectively got them to where they were/are right now.

A win at the FO will really send his numbers into the stratosphere. Especially if he beats Fedal back to back. And with the way he is playing, he may just do it.
