My three Pirates Cove duck residents are characters! I started giving them Ritz crackers and/or bread crumbs but read that’s not ideal food for them. One site suggested simple vegetables so I brought green peas but they wouldn’t eat them (just like kids!) so now they get little nibbles of beef ravioli...stringytom eats the most!

I tried to give a duck today to a Colombian refugee by offering to split my living space with him but he balked and walked when he saw he would have a king size bed in the studio apartment while I sleep in the fold out couch 10 feet away. Let him go sleep on a couch with two other apartment mates 15 miles from work that he rides to on a broken down gas-burning bicycle. He gave up $130/week space with better accommodations 12 miles closer because there was no wall for privacy.
