The official 16x18 string pattern CLUB !

Just wanted to make a club for players who have 16x18 string pattern racquets - I currently play with 4 Wildon BLX 95 6.1 16x18 racquets.

Not the perfect racquet for me, but so far the best I could find in my testing of racquets for the last 2 years time :)

Volkl Orgainx 8, basically a lighter and dampener PDR. I find no differences between pure storm's 16x20 and X8's 16X18. The center part of the string bed has similar density, X8's 16x18 only opener at the edges of the string bed, which provide more power when mishit, therefore more forgiving.

The club needs a theme, like "How to improve control with these wretched rocket launchers."

Prince Ozone Tour. Powerful without lead but a beast with 2g at 12 and 2 each at 3/9 and a leather grip. Now weighs 355g but boy does it plow through the ball and produce huge spin.

I had three Prince Ozone Tour, but I cracked one when it slipped out of my hand on a serve. Playing with it stock, I don't feel like it has enough plow through. I got pushed around the baseline against heavy hitters.

Now, I play with Yonex RQiS 1 Tour XL 95 as my main sticks. I like it so much better, esp on my serves. I'm still adjusting to the thicker beam though. I play so much more aggressive with this racquet, but that could just be my head playing tricks on me.

I kind of feel the same. Without lead it provides nice control via the spin but I was struggling to hit a deep ball with it. I added 4" strips of lead at 3/9 and also at 12 and it feels like a totally different racquet. More powerful with plenty of plow through. Give it a go, you might be surprised.

Dunlop Aerogel 4d 500 Tour here myself. How are you guys dealing with the massive string damage? These things eats string like Garfield eats lasagna!

3x Prince Ozone Tours with lead and OG to 11.9oz final weight. Only had them a week or so but really starting to get in the groove with them.

Same here - only 4 in my sig, but I own 5 # 6.1 95 16x18 BLX - but use the 5.th as my wet weather racquet and currently have it strung with black savage mains and Alu rough crosses :)

LOL. My old-fashioned answer: Yonex RDX 500 Mid. Maybe one of the least powerful racquets since wood era, but beautiful flex & control.

And, as a mid, not very open string pattern for a 16 x 18 = doesn't eat strings.
