The Official 18x20 String Pattern Club

I'm in. Just got a pair of Head LM Radical MP's. Surprisingly, these seem to give me more spin on my backhand slice than the Head MG Extreme Pro's, and that's with them pre-strung with the Head 16g synthetic gut.

well stringbed stiffness (which this whole string pattern stuff comes down to) does not effect spin, racket head speed and impact angle do.

Just a quick 18x20 fire question... do you guys get more spin on 93s or 98s? Just asking coz when I had TE, I went on to demo some flexible frames both 93s and 98s and it seems like about all of the 93s generates more spin than 98s... I ended up using a pair of redondo mids for the duration of my TE.

it makes more sense if the 98 made more spin cuz the head size is bigger which means larger string spacing which creates more spin...flex also creates spin and redondos are pretty flexy.

Wow, sorry about my absence from the boards recently but I've just been busy with life. I updated the master list on the first page and wow this list is massive. 178 members, does anyone know of another Club this huge? Anyway I'm gonna be on tt a lot more often now, so the list should always get updated withing a couple of days.

1 Prince Ozone Pro Tour MP, my second racket. It's getting pretty beat up after a year of heavy use.

I've been getting the itch for a new racket, and I've been browsing the Volkls...

multiple 18x20 prestiges, 2 Ncode 6.1 95 Ncodes 18x20, and Vantage 18x20, i think i prefer the tighter pattern.

How do the BLX's hit?

First off you can count me in considering I use the 6.1 95 BLX 18x20's, and second, the BLX's are AMAZING, IMO a huge improvement on the K Factors (at least when it comes to the 95's) I hit with the K95 and didn't like it nearly as much as my K90's but the new BLX95's are like the Tour 90's except slightly larger, slightly lighter, better feeling, and WAY more forgiving (with me added I think the member count comes up to 188 or something like that)

I have 4 AG200 18x20's and love them. I was normally a 16x18 guy but the AG200's had no problem getting spin on the ball but provided the crisp feeling I've been searching for. lol.

How do I join them club

I would like to join the club. Just bought two Wilson KBlades. Best racquet I've ever hit with. Been playing with the AD 500 Tour. The K Blade has so much more control. I'm sold on the 18/20 string pattern.:)

I'll join since I'm currently using a Dunlop Aerogel 200 and loving it, and have used several 200 series frames in the past and loved them.

But, I really have no 18x20 preference. I've used them all, 16x18, 16x20, and even 16x19 in a POG OS, which resulted in an incredibly open pattern.

I will say this -- too many people complain about the lack of spin with an 18x20. Not saying it's not slightly (but only slightly) more difficult to produce spin, but it's hardly impossible, as so many people seem to think, to get substantial spin from an 18x20, expecially with all the string options these days.

I'm in...

Dunlop 4D 200 (x3)
Head PT680

The only "non 18x20" that worked for me was the Bab PDR Cortex.
There's nothing like a thin-beam 18x20!!!

Count me in,..
- 2 AG200's
-TecnifibreTFight 335 18x20
- 2 BB11 MP's
-Head MG Radical MP
- 2 Pure Storm Ltds
-4D300 Tour
-Kneissl Red Star
....all 18x20s:)

Don't know if this is still going but you can count me in :P

Just gone from a Six One Team to 2x K Blade Tours!! Long live the 18x20!

I'd definately like to join this club i have the dunlop bimimetic 300 tour. And i believe that the speed 18x20 and the 300 tour are the spiniest :)

Count me in, Dunlop AG. 200. I like this stick a lot, it's very direct with great feel and control. I guess as a result of the 18 X 20 string pattern.
Anyone played with the biomimetic version already?

How have i not seen this before?
Please count me in
2x N 6.1 18x20
2x K 6.1 18x20
2xBLX 6.1 18x20
:D 6.1 Lover <3 <3 <3

Count me in too! I just bought 2 Babolat Pure Storm Ltd Tours. I also have a Prokennex Redondo Mid that I like to use at times.
I used to wield two Vantage 95 racquets with 16x19 patterns and I've had no problem adjusting and generating spin with the new Babolat racquets
