Of course TC95 is a custom frame so specs are all over the place. However lets just say for both frames around 338g with leather and OG which is about were i had mine. TC95 is a terrific shot making stick for people who dial it in. Big serve, big kick on heavy spin and has some nice precision from that 95 head size. It is a frame that takes a bit of time to dial in but once done, it does everything well. K7 plays good right away so one of these frames that are forgiving, big sweet spot and easy to pick up and play. Feel is outstanding with super comfort and flexy communicative feedback. It is not as powerful as TC95 but it is not underpowered at all and has terrific control. I have only played with lively polys which helps fit this frames character. I have learned to serve better with it and get a bigger serve. For me at least, there is something about swinging the K7 that feels seamless and I am fan at that 338g and 7HL spec. So at the end of the day, TC95 will bring some raw brawn that needs taming and tuning. K7 is an easy pick and play frame with greater control and a sublime feel.

If I wanted to put some lead on my TC95 for stability, where should I put it?
Stability is usually at 3 and 9. Give it a go, just experiment by adding gradual amounts. Should impact twist weight a little bit giving more stability on strokes.

I did have a little bit there but I will have to check if it is still there when I get home. I feel like mine is pretty stable, I mainly put lead at 12. Couple layers, 1 strip from 10 to 2 under grommet. Although I do enjoy more manoeuvrability and whippiness so I kept the weight very polarised with OEHM leather grip + over. 344 grams or so. Very similar to my TC90 which I love with a similar setup.

@topspn hey, I just strung up some Hyper G in my TC100, what kind of difference in play will I find in comparison to RS Lyon? I've never played Hyper G.
It will feel softer then RS Lyon will give you a bit more punch on your shots and bigger spin. Control is still pretty good but I string mine @53lbs. Feedback is pretty decent and fairly predictable response. Let us know how it goes!

Hit some doubles tonight with K7 and first time with scorpion @50lbs. I like this match, good response with decent power and control is not lacking. Nice rotation and my serve was quite happy smacking flats or kicking. Volleys have good feel and felt pretty solid. Glad I’m trying!

Awesome, thanks, I look forward to testing it. I did a lower tension, 48lbs, same as RS Lyon but its still pretty cool outside. And I've always favored lowered tension polys.

How much swing weight are you gonna obtain after stringing a tc95 63ra 16/19 320g310mm 297swingweight with full poly 1.26 or hybrid poly 1.26/1.17 and tourna over grip?

Full bed of 16 gauge poly in my TC100 adds 30 points to swingweight. Swingweight remained the same with overgrip. I think @Jouke is right on target with 327. I do think that it might be a point or two less with 95 square inch head size though.

Im still very rusty on my backhand and fixing it but forehand getting there. Girlfriend been playing for about 5 months now I guess and couldn't hit a ball over the net to begin so its going okay :)

I also broke my full gut strings practising serving last night, not sure what to put in the 90 next. It was very comfortable and love using this frame. Feels more refined than the 95 and very fun to use. Gut was a bit unwieldy towards the end, it has a heap of power but not that uncontrollable, just not as good for serving consistency.

She is using the TC97 18x20 with gut/poly.

Im also still overweight with shin splints from running and playing most days lately. Hopefully they calm down shortly so I can move properly.

Thanks man, girlfriend is improving quickly, she just started really hitting forehands last week because she doesn't have much strength and was focusing on backhand. So far its going pretty well and she seems to enjoy it.

Choices, choices...

Hey guys, thanks for all of the reviews! I pulled the trigger on a K7 and am loving it so far even at stock weight. Not much to say that hasn't already been said, except that I was surprised that with such an open pattern I can still keep my slice really low like an 18 x 20. Also, it might sound weird, but it plays like 100 sq inches - maybe because of the generous sweet spot, thin beam and head shape.

Quick question, does anybody have the TC9 racket bag? If so, do you like it and are there any pockets or organizers in the main exterior accessory pocket? Also, does the bag keep its shape well? Thanks again.

Yes I have it and it is a very nice bag, well constructed there is a zipper pocket outside of the bag, there is a compartment inside the zipper pocket also.
Let me know if this help otherwise I can take few pictures and upload it for you.

So whatever happened to your K7 try? I was curious to hear your thoughts but maybe you’re traveling already and haven’t hit with it.
Too much travel recently, my friend. Wife was going to buy it for me as a Xmas gift but I wouldn't have been able to play due to schedule. I will definitely get one by end of next month though. Will definitely give feedback once I have it!

The sides / 3 and 9 oclock.

How much stability you want depends on how much you add
I added some lead (3 and 9:00) to my TC95 (320/310 16x19) for stability and it's feeling a bit sluggish, especially compared to my TC97 (320/310 18x20). Are you guys adding lead to the hoop on your TC95s or are you getting enough stability without?

I have both and yes the tc97 is more maneuverable. Overall the tc95 is very stable, single point of instability of it in my opinion is at the top of the head. To solve this, I added 2 grams of lead at 12 o'clock, but to me it greatly affected the handling when I was more tired. With that I adjusted, I left with only 1 gram at 12 o'clock and it was very good.

dont think you need much... I have 1 gram total (1/2 grams each side that comes to 1/4 on both sides of the strings) on mine.

Picked up my K7 from my stringer and although I haven't hit with it yet, I can confirm that grip size feels slightly larger than other brands.
Perhaps the synthetic grip adds to this feeling (I am used to leather) but we'll see how it feels in use.

Well, that’s the pros and cons isn’t it! Add to twist weight and give up maneuverability so it’s a balancing act! I personally didn’t need it on TC95 but had a smidge @12

I had needed at least 4 grams total at 3&9. Found the TC95 lacking plenty of stability.

I have added very little lead at 3 and 9 to my TC95s and I do it on the outside of the rim. I find it very stable and never sluggish at 9pts HL//but that may be a factor of my use of lowish tension RSlyon (string at 45 and it settles around 39-40) and decent heft. How can you ask for a lower RA when you order?
Congrats, I think you may be the first who wants to target an RA on his Angells. No place on the order page so you need to talk to Paul first and see if he can accommodate your request. Easiest way is to message on FB. Frame is flexy and super comfy already so you know.

I made a request for it in my actual order.
No clue if such a specimen was chosen though. (will be some time before I get to an RDC machine)

@topspn @haqq777 Noticed you guys had somne tc100's for sale here, switching to the k7 or just making room in the bag? :)
Oh I am sticking with my trusty TC100 (atleast for now) as I haven't tried K7 yet. Over time I had accumulated 6 of the TC100 63RA version so figured that's maybe tad too much. Was just a coincidence that it appeared in For Sale section with @topspn :)

I haven't tried K7 yet so not sure about it. Definitely getting it next month as I have seen some great reviews. The comfort and soft feel is a big plus no doubt and it looks gorgeous too.

That said, I'm not sure about the permanent switch if I am being honest. Seems its attributes are quite different than TC100. I do a power baseline game, tons of baseline rallies, and not so much net play. I feel like TC100 seems to be tailor made for me where it's like a cannon unleashing bombs from baseline overpowering the opponent bit by bit and creating angles, chipping at them till they break. K7 will have a huge task to oust TC100 from my top slot.

Well put my friend, had to ask seeing the ads next to each other, thought of a k7 alliance ;-) Yeah the tc100 is dominating my holic bag at the moment, as you say, power, touch, angles, has it all. Looking to try some hybrids in it soon.

I really dig RS Lyon/Wilson Sensation Control hybrid. Its probably not a very sexy combo, but I used the Sensation to hybrid my PS97's as well. Will be curious to find what hybrids you choose.

Awesome! Would love to get your feedback on hybrids :) - I play with full poly since it works but I was thinking about trying out new setups and seeing how that goes as well.

At the moment I am enjoying (in my tc100 ) kirschbaum max power mains and babolat origin crosses, both 16g. My next hybrid will be isospeed cream mains and technifibre hdx tour crosses.
I have used these types in my pure aero projects, these multis are great because they are soft and play like a poly almost ! @haqq777

Scorpion is really giving K7 some additional heat. This is a pretty nice combination! Also finding some sweet kick on serve. Taking ball early and being very aggressive really worked well using this combo
