I was you I would just quickly grab the handle a bit higher while serving and see if that helps. Doesn’t have to be much higher, 1cm will reduce the SW by ~14 points. You kind of move the pivot point higher and serve with shorter racquet. If that helps, your problem is SW, if not, then probably static weight.

Interesting, Ive never really considered it but when I really want to have up the heat with a first serve I hang my hand off the handle a bit... to increase swingweight. having a flared cap makes this a tad easier to pull off because I retain a good grip

k7 lime has more uniform flex. similar to tc95. Touch Prestige MP feels softer on impact but give you less feedback and feel. (just a preference I guess). both kinda similar stability I think. didnt have issues with either. both similar in maneuverability. k7 is slightly more powerful. Both very good racquets. Biggest difference is feel IMO and power. Prefer k7 lime but if someone is looking for that pillowy contact then prestige touch would be better. I like to feel the ball on the strings. Racquet is solid and didn't vibrate. Didnt have comfort issues either. Its got Angell's DNA in a more maneuverable package.
Thanks. So the lime has more flex then. I added 5 grams of lead to the hoop of the prestige to get more stability and depth on shots. I string it with either hyper g or solstice power 18g at 48 pounds to get the power and spin. I just bought my second prestige but am tempted to try the lime. I’ve never had the chance to play any Angell racquets.

Yeh I do this all the time on serve and forehand/double hand backhand. Had to send my tc97’s back to have handle wobble fixed, this has happened on quite a few long term frames over the years.

planning to buy V3 TC100, is there issue or new issue to the v3 model like grommets are broken or weak grommets, dead spot on top of the hoop etc? thanks
I have not noticed this dead spot. Grommets are different by colour. Black ones are more plastic, more hard, white ones - tad more flexer and easier to install. Have not compared blue and green ones, but I have them at home, I can take a look if needed.

hello Any ideas in terms of string type / tension to get the best out of the K7 lime ? cheers
I have a couple of K7 Lime. On one of them I use RS Lyon / Hyper G hybrid, and for the 2nd one I use Tier One Sports Black Knight, both @48 lbs. The RS Lyon set up is softer, more comfy, better feel. The BK is very good too with amazing ball pocketing though after a few hits it feels pretty firm. I might try dropping it 1-2 lbs. In short: low tension, medium-soft poly should work well with this stick.

How are the other Lime users doing?
I gave it all and took to test with an open mind. Great stick but not enough for me to switch. Will definitely need a bit of weight in hoop area as well. I'm sticking with my TC97 (I have 3 new V3 versions). I have a few offers on my Lime already. My sensor told me I had an awesome session with Lime so there's that which is keeping me on the fence about selling it. Are you looking to switch?

I feel the same way, I'm really on the fence with the Lime. Mine is up for sale but I'm still thinking of keeping it because the feel is so good and I like the pop it has with lead. Problem for me is the 93p is just better overall.

Even though my main stick is TC97, I really love the 93P. I haven't even customized my 93P and it plays so well for me. Feels nicely weighted and balanced stock. I occasionally hit with it whenever in the mood. But yeah, completely know what you mean.

Just curious, do you guys play mostly singles or doubles? Or equally? @JOSHL
And how's TC97 vs Lime for serving? I love my TC95 16m but I think I play better with 18x20 in doubles and still regret selling my TC95 18x20. I'm not good enough player to play doubles with 93P so I sold it ;).

I play both but lately more singles because one of my reg doubles guys has been out with TE. I'm not a very good player either but I don't find the 93p to be too small, too heavy, too demanding, or too anything really. I also don't have any mods to it except a built up butt cap which adds about 1-2pts more HL. The 93p is the best serving stick I have ever used. The Lime serves well also but nothing compares to the 93p for me.

I’d be surprised if theASL plays as stiff as the 98 ezone, found the ezone played stiffer than it’s RA and was unstable too, pretty horrible and very short play test
However I recently got back on the courts & got to hit my friends imported ezone 98+ this was completely different, solid, powerfull and played considerably more flexible than the standard 98. Amazing what a difference an extra half inch gives you!
There are imported Ezones?! Do explain

Thanks, I'm reading the whole thread at the moment, and the most prevalent issue is the grommet being split when strung by shaped poly, I hope it's not an issue anymore

Totally agree, 93p is not 'too small' as the number might suggest, and I know someone who plays really well with it. But your comment about serving is interesting because I serve really well with my TC95 16m but for whatever reason with 93p I couldn't get any pace on the serve. Maybe I sold it too early and didn't put enough effort to figure out how to bring the most out of it. Anyways, leaded Lime is working pretty well for me so I'll stick to it for now.

I had a brief demo with the 93P and it was a good serving stick but not in the TC95 class. I haven’t found anything that serves this well in all honesty. The TC100 is a contender and so is the old Pure Storm Tour GT. The combination of power, kick and accuracy is top notch.

I'm a 99% singles player. Very rarely do I play doubles and when I do it is just for kicks and giggles. I play singles with local college team guys so it is high level. And I play to stay in shape (work on progress, really).

I found TC97 (I use 18x20) better in serving. More precision and plow. But in terms of serve monster, I have yet to come across any stick that beats TC95. That thing will serve lights out. The 93P is good, but not in the same league for serves.

I had a long post on the 93P thread in early pages (I was one of the guys who got it as soon as it released). It is a great stick but requires proper footwork and setting up everytime. Come high level college tennis time, you can see your own limitations with that stick. It does play bigger than 93 sq inch for sure. But crunch time when its a set a piece deep in third set, and you are huffing and puffing to get to those heavy balls pushing you deeper behind baseline, you need that extra something that helps and has a little bit more power and forgiveness. I loved playing with it but it isn't my competition stick.

Yep, agreed. Pure Storm GTs are da bomb! My local tennis pro has one and he let me borrow it and wow that thing is solid! And feedback isn't tinny like moderns babolats too!

Josh I recently tried 93P and really liked it as well. I am wondering if you ever used TC95. Wanted to see what you thought about serves with TC95. I agree with most here that once you try TC95 you will see that it serves so much bigger and heavier than 93P. But not to take anything away from 93P that is a great racquet for sure!!

So I just got the TC95 but haven't hit with it yet because of all the rain. I strung it with Big Hitter Silver at 47/43lbs. The one i have unstrung specs are-11.7oz, 70RA, 16x19, 12pts HL. Strung specs are- 12.56oz(built up butt, overripe, damp) 12pts HL. Oh and its the latest version.
Needless to say I am very excited to hit this thing, but the string pattern is WIDE OPEN like a damn spin effect! LOL
You guys that like the serve on the 95, are your specs similar?

Similar specs except 63RA. I did play with the 70 version as well, but prefer the 63.

lol, yeah the string pattern is definitely very open. Ever since I switched to denser patterns it takes me a while to reel in balls with these open patterns whenever I switch. Very high launch angle. Mine is the 63RA TC95. It needs restringing but mine was 45 lbs last with YPTS if I recall correctly. Weighs 345g strung with OG.

I had exact same stick before and huuuuuge serve. I now use the TC95 63RA in stock unstrung 320g/10HL. I use only 16g gauge due to open pattern and nothing beats this baby on serve. I use Black Night string @48lbs

@JOSHL one thing to remember as I noticed string tension 47/43lbs. You will exaggerate the launch angle on TC95 with looser crosses. Even will be more reasonable or the natural launch angle for frame/string combo and tightening the crosses will reduce the launch angle.

i didn't say more flex but different flex style. uniform flex I would associate with stiffer feel, more solid yet similar comfort. while prestige touch head flex style associate with pillowy feel but less "crashing the ball" sensation. head touch is kinda drawing the impact force from the ball and then launch it back. uniform flex kinda tells the ball "hey you ! stop , you won't go any further" ;p

@t_pac Yes the ASL3 has a pallet! So now the frame is at 333.8g and 32.3cms or around 6.5HL. I will try to play with it over the next 3 days and see how it feels with the added weight. I added weight to the head, leather grip and 7” from the butt cap.
Pretty close to my TC100 specs give or take. I really want to know if it is a similar beast or not now that it's apples to apples. Will wait for your feedback. Did you add weight at 3&9 or at noon in the hoop?

Are you switching Paolo?

How are the other Lime users doing? @Gee are you making the switch?
Last times I only played with my K7 Lime as I indeed try to switch.

The K7 Lime has the perfect headsize to me and it plays very similar as the TC95 18m regarding ball launch and directional control.

Both frames have a different feel. The TC95 has that satisfied solid feel with a twack sound because of the foam filled construction whereas the K7 Lime has a more muted vibration free touch/feel that reminds me of the Völkl C10 Pro. No coincidence as these frames have a graphite/kevlar composition.

I am not sure which feel I prefer. Honestly I miss that solid twack of the TC95 a little bit but I am getting more and more used to the feel of the K7. In stock condition the K7 is not as heavy and solid as my TC95 but after I customized my K7 with lead it feels solid enough and stll very maneuverable to me.

The K7 Lime just plays so much easier than the TC95 as it is much more maneuverable and more forgiven. I noticed that I am able to hit half volleys successful more often than with my TC95. The touch of the K7 is just great!

My only minor issue is that the grip size 3 feels slightly too small to me. Even if I amply overlap my overgrip as it'll shrink after a few hours of play.
I want to try a grip 4 but I am not sure if the K7 Lime can be replaced.

If you check the picture closely, you will see a line on the whole side. That's the gap between the halves. At least I think so.

Yes but the molded pallets looks exactly like that ;).

With the normal Pallets there is a significant gap between the 2 pallets.

So Grip on K7 Lime is smaller then on TC ? Cause anyone in the Thread says the Opposite!

That sure as heck looks like a pallet to me
No, on the Tc custom series there is a significant gap between the pallets. You can easily put a knife between it.

On the K7 series the grip is molded. You can not change the pallets. You can send it to ring and roll and have them put a custom handle on there.
