Officially back in the club! Loving the gloss on the V5!
Unstrung Specs per Briffridi SW1/BP1 (TW adapter en route). Keep in mind this is for 27.25" frames:
React 99 18x19 - 313.7 (vs 315g spec), Balance is spot on at 12 Pts headlight, swingweight of 298.
TC95 18x20 - 320.4 (vs 320g spec), Balance is spot on at 12 Pts headlight, swingweight of 305. Strung SW of 338! That's my perfect SW. Will hit with it Sunday!

They both look so good!!!

I'm just drowning in racquets at the moment though, so I;m just going to have to observe from a distance (or get lucky in some future swap).

V5 TC90 plays almost identical to the V2s, but there is a slight difference in feel, I think. Hard to say, and could be down to the V2s having some mileage on them also. The difference is negligible, either way - the V5 has that same punchy directness with some plush mixed in. What an amazing stick.

So got 2 hours of singles play in today with the TC95. Overall impression: This feels like a 'pro stock' frame. Its solid (not as solid as say the PT2.0/PC2.0), but swings easier than its weight and SW suggests. It definitely flexes in the throat area, which provides a nice level of feel and pocketing. Feels similar to the flex that the Blade Pro has, but the Blade Pro is significantly more head heavy.
I was serving great with it. Still need to dial in the 2 handed backhand, slice, and volleys.
This is definitely for flatter hitters. I think I probably generate more spin with my PC2.0, but its close.

Overall impression is quite positive. It wins in the feel category, which is the quickest thing to turn me off from a frame. Definitely looking forward to hitting with it again. May have to use a less lively poly next time to get more control to compensate for the less spin.

I have the React to try out next.

18x20 I assume? What configuration you got going on there?

I received my React MPP today. It’s a beautiful frame, I’m partial to black frames though. I ordered the standard 27” 310/310 & the unstrung swing weight measures 294 on the Briffidi. Interested in what strings & tension people are liking in this? On the stiffer side of strings I like Confidential, Tour Sniper, Super Toro, S7T & on the medium firm side I like Hyper G or Tour Hex.

Anyone using Angell Halo strings? I've tested a few and have more waiting but Halo Bite has been my go-to main for the past year, square, edges are sharper than Black Code 4S but not as sharp as Ultra Cable/V-Square, holds tension very well. I've tried it with several round/smooth poly crosses and all have worked well (Halo Comfort, Halo Touch, Pro's Pro Red devil, Alu Power etc). Halo Spin7 feels like the same string material as Bite only has seven sides instead of 4. I strung Spin7 in a club member's Aero VS to try, after a few weeks he brought me his other two rackets and asked for the same. For anyone that hasn't tried them they do a handy sample pack.

If I'm not wrong you are using Gravity Pro too, I'm testing Toroline K-Pro on the GP ProStock and on the Speed MP and it works very well on both rackets, it might be worth a try on the React MPP too

My 2 React MPP Customs should be up in the FS section at some point today (as long as I did everything correctly :D). Really like them, just don't quite gel in a couple areas with the 18x19 pattern to the level I was hoping for.

Side note, @flyhome - I have K-Pro in one of the Reacts right now and I like it. Like it more than the K-Pop version I put in the other one.

Jumping on this if anyone had any experience they can share with the halo multi that would be fab, and what it compares to

Thanks for the tip on K Pro. I just ordered so more Super Toro, I’ll order some K Pro to try too. I saw this is Karue’s conception, must be good! My main stick right now is the Percept 97D, seems like a good fit for it too.

Toroline sent me a set of K-Pop too, I still have to try It, but I really lime the K-Pro hybrid.
which are the specs of tour Custom Reacts?

My MPP Customs are 305g/310mm, 27.25" L3 in the B handle shape. They're the 99" 18x19 ones.

I liked the carbon Wasabi more than the neon pink when I tested Wasabi back when it was new. Guess I shouldn't be surprised I prefer K-Pro over K-Pop.

I think you'll like It, I wanna try Super Toro too.

I got offerED a pair of brand new 97D in exchange of the GP ProStocks, but I think 320gr unstrung is a bit too much for me. I'm curious to know how you compare the React to the GP.

I have read the Pink One is softer, I usually prefere stiffer strings, and the caviar is soft enough, maybe It work better on a Babolat frame than on what I use.

My Gravity TGTs have the same specs, 306gr, 311mm 27.25 but with TK82

My main stick is the Percept 97D. But I also have GP’s & Prestige’s. I like thin beam racquets with feel. Excited to try the React, it’s an interesting racquet. 99 inch, 21 mm beam with 18x19 string pattern. If you like a firm/controlled poly, you like Super Toro. I would compare to Confidential, Tour Sniper & S7T.

Confidential 1.20 was my string on the GPs, since K-Pro landed in Tuscany...

I’ve found Halo Multi to be excellent. Certainly may not be ‘sexy’, trendy or esoteric but it really works for me…
My main objectives are arm, hand & shoulder protection as well as pop, touch & liveliness…
I generally string NRG2, NXT and X One Biphase and notice no drop off with Halo…at a much more reasonable price…

I've only had a quick hit with the neon multi after i strung it up in an old 2012 Pure Drive Lite that belongs to an intermediate lady club member, she seems happy with it. It was quite stretchy on my drop weight stringer. I have another set here awaiting some hybrid experiments but I'm more of a poly player and don't have much experience with multis. I tried a full bed of Velocity MLT recently but cut it out after a few sessions. Lack of snap back and reduced spin just wasn't doing it for me. Halo Bite in the mains works so well I'm struggling to find anything to top it. I'm currently using a TC100 with Halo Bite mains and Alu Power RG edition crosses. I also have a Prince Textreme Tour 100P with Bite mains and Yonex Poly Tour Pro 1.14mm crosses, that also plays nicely. Tonnes of bite and good snap back on both setups.

It's funny how different perception everyone can have of a sting. I've been playing with Velocity for half a year in my TC97 18 x 20 because of tennis elbow. I use it because it's the best poly-like multi I've found with respect to power (low), control and spin (snap back) at a very reasonable price. It's a bit muted though, so I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. I think it's a good string for a hybrid because of its slick surface.

Thanks much for the detailed comment…
Good to know re Halo polys you mentioned…though I’m paranoid about arm friendliness (past injuries, on/off court, and at 76 & counting, really don’t want time off rehabbing anything) I’m curious about trying a hybrid next stringing…trying hard not to covet a React MP too much but thinking maybe Halo Comfort would suit it…Grazie!…

Anyone have a comparison for between the TC101 and TC100? I'm tempted to round out the Angell custom lineup and perhaps grab a TC90 and TC100 or 101.
But I have a React 99 and TC95. TC90 will fit nicely in my mids, debating where TC100/101 fits in the spectrum

@Soundbyte I have the V3 TC100 and V3 TC101. I have played with both quite a few times and actually enjoy playing with them both. My personal opinion is the TC100 gives be slightly more power but less control. Serves on it are amazing but slicing required more effort. With the TC101 it is more arm friendly and I find it actually gives me better control especially on volleys but it lacks power and you really need a full swing to get a good depth. I interchange between these 2 rackets all the time so not really much in it.

Thanks. I normally play with PC2.0 and other " low powered" frames, so sounds like I can go with either one.

So got to hit with my React 99 18x19 (27.25, 315g) today for some doubles. This racket is definitely whippier compared to the TC95. There is no question about it. It's a fast swinging frame but definitely not as solid feeling. That being said, it's also a great feeling frame. No harsh, doesn't feel at flexy in the throat compared to the TC95. I liked it quite a bit, but it's definitely the lightest and lowest SW racket I've used in a bit. Gonna add 4g or so at 12 to get the swing up in the 340-350 range and see how it goes. I initially went with the most HL balance option as I knew I'd be adding lead to up the SW on these puppies.

If you like the Pure Aero but want a nicer feeler frame, the React fits that bill IMO
If you like a Blade Pro / Prestige type frame, the TC95 is a better choice.

Positive review from me. If I had to choose after one outing each, I'd choose the TC95 but that's also since its closer to my usual specs. More to come...

Is your tc 95 the V5 version? If so, did you feel any difference in relation to the V3 or V4 version if you used these versions?

what about spin generation on the React 18x19?

Hi all, I'm very close to pull the trigger on a React MPP 99 305/315 but I can't decide between 16M and 18M.
I'm currently a Wilson Blade 98 v8 16x19 user (leather grip added) and I love the manoeuvrability, feel, thin beam, control, etc. but at times I feel I'm missing some help in power and forgiveness, especially against better opponents. Judging from Tennisnerd's review the MPP 18x19 could well be what I'm looking for, i.e. same good control and feel as the blade but more power/spin/forgiveness (feel free to comment if I'm very off on this one).
Any thoughts on the matter? I've never used 18x20 racquets for longer than a month but I like the Blade's closed 16M and I'm worried I'd lose too much control with the MPP 16M (which seems to have quite an open 16x19 judging from what you guys are saying here).

My MPP 18x19 just arrived, and I'm pumped to string it up and give it a go! I'm typically a 16x19 user (except for my fling with the Shift Pro 18x20), but of course I haven't tried this one yet but will provide feedback once I play with it. Any string advice? I'm debating amongst ALU Power Blue, Wasabi, Caviar, Tour Bite, Confidential, or Hit Pro (got a lot of strings in my inventory!)

Not sure if this helps but I have a TC100 V4 Custom setup to similar specs which I think is pretty much the same open 16x19 pattern as the React 16x19. The launch angle is higher than any other 16x19 I've used. I usually prefer thinner gauge strings but thicker gauges work better for me in this frame. I'm currently switching between this and a Prince Textreme Tour 100P (open 18x20). The Prince plays nicely with thin gauge polys at lower tensions and has a lovely dwell/pocketing feel and more control. The easy power and depth of the TC100 is addictive and it's a rocket launcher on serves but the extra feel and slightly larger sweet spot on the Prince is making it tough to commit to one. I'm hoping the React MPP 99 18x19 will be the middle ground between the two, I'll be ordering one soon.

Is anyone here using and ASi 2.0 as your main racket? If so could you please share any mods you've done and your current specs? I've seen a few mentions of adding weight to 3&9. I picked up a pair of these used a while ago and have tried a few different string combinations, I like the whippy feel but since they max out at grip 3 and I'm a grip 5, by the time I build up the grip it's getting over 12 points headlight strung (have tried various things to minimise the grip weight like balsa wood etc) and if I add weight to the hoop to offset it then the static weight is in the 340-350g range (325-330g is my usual range). I like the 100sq" 16x20 pattern and the overall hybrid construction look. I'm trying to decide whether to do some more extreme (irreversible) grip mods or sell them and wait for the next version.

That was my hope too, but to me React MPP 99 18x19 more in between my TT100P and my TC95 18x20 and very different from my TC100. It’s a lovely racquet.

I mod mine with 6g at 12 to get the SW up and not getting the weight too crazy, great racquet too but I dont like the whistling noice when swinging fast.

I would lean towards the 18x19 based on your post. It will be an "evolution" rather than a "revolution" in terms of racket experience.

Angell 16x19s are very open and take a long time to feel truly comfortable with (at least for me) and I still own a TC95 and 97 16x19 and sold a 100. The 18x19 will let you have more options with string choice, and you can go thinner which should make it more comfortable and a little more powerful when wanted/needed.

Unless you play in clay a majority of the time, I would go 18x19.

Thanks for the info, I'm not keen on the whistle noise either, I was going to try wedging some foam strips into the gaps in the throat. I love the innovation though, I've not seen anything like it elsewhere recently. Paul described the ASi as being like the iPhone 1 so it sounds like an updated one is forthcoming, hopefully with more grip size options.
