The Official Angell Users Club

I used to play with a fantastic Dunlop Hotmelt 200G: so tempted to get TC99 V5 18x19, my racquet journey would come full circle. Happily married to my foam-filled, 18x19 Tfight ISO though...
TF ISO 18x19 sounds like a great alternative. However I dislike the Tecnifibres' rectangular grip shape. The higher RA would also have a firmer feel (like a TC97 I guess).

Used some C-pallet Angells for a number of years. Had come from Prince racquets, the "C" is actually a little more radially symmetric and "round" than what you find on most current Prince frames.

Anyone try the C pallet? Its the most round

I have been curious about these myself, thinking of trying to the C pallet in the tc99 18x19 custom when I order it. Love the current Prince shape but also the rounder styles of past especially in Rossignol frames.

I found the same thing, I went for C on my first Angell after using Prince but switched to B after a few months. That's the beauty of interchangable pallets though... having the options :)

ugh...i'm secretly wanting a 99. been hitting with my 16m 95 again for a while.
Funny that I dusted off one of my TC95 16m V3 today. Checked the tension and it still has 32DT on it so I will take it with me tomorrow night. Can’t remember what I have done but both have 336g/32.7&32.8/340SW, but I couldn’t see any lead tape on the hoop. Both have same Angell Halo Multi string, same colour too.

oopsie…i take it all back!

was logged in with my account, when i saw the prices.

apparently the prices listed are after customs/taxes while beeing logged in. never noticed that until now
I noticed this as well when I was logged in.

So,... Does this mean that € 250 is your total amount for a custom TC99 for instance (and no other costs like import duties, customs fees and clearance costs wlll be charged)?
BTW I'm from the Netherlands.

I think it’s 200 euros total (includes everything).

I am not sure as that doesn't make sense.
Indeed it shows 200 euros for a custom frame when you're not logged in with your Angell account.
I guess Angell already included import duties and maybe other additional charges based on your account details. However I am not sure about that. Can anyone confirm this?

I’m in the US and bought one not too long ago and the price listed was the total price I paid.

Allright. So you didn't need to pay other additional costs?
However I still don't understand why the price is 250 euros when I'm logged in.
No additional cost for me. Not sure why you see 250 euros, could be a computer glitch. Maybe give them a call to confirm.

the numbers add up in my case (location=germany).

my latest order last week included VAT.

that wasn‘t the case in my previous order 3 years ago, right after brexit. I had to pay the import sales-tax separately to the courier service back then (and Angell‘s invoice was accordingly less)

so my guess is that the company is (VAT-) registered in EU countries (or even had to do that…only know the laws for EU) to make things easier for us customers.

Anyone get the TC99 yet? I kinda regret selling my React 99 custom, so debating whether to grab another react a custom or TC99 custom

I have the TC99, but only used it to feed a beginner so can't really comment on it yet. Did do a couple of serves(80% power) and 7 out of 7 were in the box. So promising start at least.
Did you buy chance ever use the React 99? Curious how they compare

Same dilemma.
I like slightly extended frames, which favors the React just because the SW is 8pts lower. which would allow me to extend 0.25" and be similar. But given that it's the identical mold...I'm not sure why the play ability difference with the foam injection.

I skipped the react because I like the foam filled Angells. And I basically hoped for a 18x20 tc100. Initial feel was good; just the solid feel I was hoping for.
Most of our courts are out for renovation so probably be at least a week before I can do some serious hitting.
I played quite a bit with the 63ra tc95 18x20 and the 70ra tc100. I have a feeling the power level will be closer to the tc95 than the tc100. But like I said, I will need some good hitting in before I can give any real feedback. And even then... I'm not that good so never take my word as gospel:-D

Just got an Angell React MPP 18x19. Strung it up with Weiss Cannon Mosquito Bite 1.19mm, which I had in my drawer. Had never used the string before.
I must confess I'm less than impressed. Super super muted, can't tell if my ball is going long or bouncing before the T. Also thought it is way more powerful than I thought, and feels a bit mushy.
Blade 100 user here.
Question is whether I got the string completely wrong, or if comparatively my perception of the racket makes sense.

How is the slickness compared to revolve and other slick polys? Can it be a good cross , slick n round n medium power?

Why not string your new React with the same string as your Blade. IMO it seems strange to string a new racquet with a string you never played before.

Because it's what I had in my house and the shop didn't have my trusted confidential in stock lol

Muted is not the word I’d use to describe my MPP. Feels very flexy and lots of feedback. I find thicker beamed and foam filled rackets to feel more muted (like TF40 305).

Hi I am new to this, so i am 64 years old been playing at a reasonable club standard for 50 years! So I have many rackets more than i Know what to with! So I bought the React 295g 18x19 last year when it was released, I also got the TC99 18x19 last week 300g both are strung with the same string at the same tension Angell comfort hybrid. The React has some lead 2g, the TC99 is stock weight. First impressions of the TC99 is that it has greater plough felt slight more stable & comfortable than the react! The React is crisper, comfortable if hit in the centre, however off centre the TC99 was more comfort. Power wise the TC was more powerful and felt more solid. It is slightly more muted which to be honest having had opps on my elbow and Shoulder it better for me! React gives more feedback but as I have eluded feels less comfortable than the TC. I also have a TC100 & TC97 18x20 octane! I would say that the TC 99 is more manoeuvrable then both More control than the TC100 less power lower launch angle, but more powerful than the TC97 & slightly higher launch angle i.e in between the TC100 & TC 97. Initially when i Bought the react, i had been playing with Prokennex Ki5 295 (with a little lead on tip) Same tension different strings. I bought the React out of curiosity, whilst i played well with it, I felt less comfortable than my Ki5s, I also found them slightly less powerful whilst control were similar Ki5 16x20 very dense string pattern in the middle! I have had one outing with the TC99 18x19 I have to say i like it better than the React, more powerful more muted and stable however less manoeuvrable (slightly) Got to say though cosmetic wise React looks nicer!

That’s disappointing to hear. Was seriously considering this or the TC 99 18x19.

Thanks for the comparison.

I actually didn't find the react that powerful! I have the blade 100 v9 thought the blade was slightly more powerful and less control than the react! As I posted i put a couple of grams of lead tape at the tip to give it more power! Forgot to mention I also have a react 275g with the same hybrid as on my TC and react 295g however it 1/4" longer put extra weight in the handle & over grip making it 310g strung! SW just under 300, I actually found this to hit a bigger ball than the 295g at lower SW aprox 290 unstrung! That is probably on par with the TC99 300g Unstrung, still found the TC version to be more comfortable. Taking it out tonight and comparing it against Speed MP Aux 2 which i have had for a couple of months! Trying a new sting set up on the MP which is really comfortable! Just found it to be a little less control for my flat game! Seeing if the different string set up has solved this problem. Other than the TC 99 I have found for my all round style (old school) the Ki 5 to be really good, but the TC99 seems very promising on its first outing slightly more power same control and easy on my arm! Want to like the speed however not sure its really suited to my game!

Yes I really enjoyed the React, and I also added lead to beef up the swing weight.

Looking forward to more reviews/comparison. Will hold steady with my C10 Pros for now

Any chance experience or comparison to a Ezone 98 or Clash 98 V1? I’d love a racquet that blends the two somewhat together. Really enjoy the weight and balance of the Clash 98, easy on my bad shoulder.

Also question for the anyone who would know, would they further customize a racquet for a customer? I like my sticke headlight and would love 310g with 11pts HL but they only do 9.

You should ask them directly regarding customisation.
