Thanks. After a few years of 100P 2019 i started a journey.... Gravity Pro (best slice, but too sluggish on FH), Prince Phantom (too noodly), Gravity Tour (meh) , TF T-Fight 305 (nice), TF40 (ok), Vcore98 (lots of power and spin), Speed Pro (nice feel, low launch angle) -> now back to 100P. But only in 2015 or ATS (2019 is too harsh for me on off-center hits; gives me wrist pain). Also think the 100P is one of the best racquets of all time. The only thing I'm missing is a certain feel of the Tecnifibres I'm attributing to the foam filling (but didn't like the grip shape on TF and also there's no trap door for easy customization).

The foam thing made me think TC99 could be a nice option. I also like the factory customization (no need to mess with silicone?) and the optics. But since I already have my customized 100Ps I should probably just settle instead of investing substantial money again.

I played with many Angells as well (TC95 18m 16m, TC97 18m, TC100 and TC99) and Prince Phantom 100x 18x20 so I can relate to your experiences.
I'm almost sure you'll love the TC99 for the reasons you mentioned above. So I would still consider to take the plunge and order one with your specs desired.

I think a 70RA version of the TC99 would be the way to go. no need for a new mold in my opinion. I like the added string durability the 18 mains give as opposed to the 16/20 and the TC99 is so precise and controlled already I dont think decresing the Headsize is necessary.

Most people play better with 16x20...not 18x20 or 18x19

#2: Do eccentric flexbar exercises (maybe the most important factor!). Just twist and hold the tension a few times until you are completely tired. Twice a day, three to four times a week. After doing that, I went from pain on the slightest phyiscal effort to no pain at all within a few weeks. Thanks to the flexbar exercises I'm back to playing 10 to 15 hours a week without any pain!

Agree, flexbar exercises (the green one) really help a lot. Having a racket with low vibrations too (TC97 gave me TE). K7 Red most comfy racket I have used till know (that's why I consider the new K Seven 100).

This is what Paul shared:
"With the original K7 Series in 2021 we had the Red, Lime and Cyan. The Red and the Lime were essentially the same frame but with differing string patterns and the Cyan was our 100" version with a 16x19 string pattern.

For this recent launch we have changed the string pattern to 16x20 in both the 98" and 100", this addresses some concerns that players had about a high launch angle from the original Red and Cyan. Power level of the K7 100 will be higher than the original K7 Red that you owned."

Swing weights seem to be really low, have to check that since I typically play around 325SW.

this might be really helpful for all the TC95 users:

my strings journey is done with the tc95. Tested a lot, ended up using 1.30 strings more often in 16x19 and 1.25 in 18x20. There were some strings working better than most.

Hi Angell Brothers and Sisters. I've been out of tennis for the better part of the last 4 years due to numerous injuries. I'm back an healthy for the first time in a long time and playing 3 times a week.

I'm still using my trusty TC100 V2 (have 3 frames) and TC100 V3 (Octane Paintjob) which I've never really liked, can't pinpoint but it is harsh on off-center hits. My frames are pretty old and looking at some options. I have a Prince ATS Tour 100P on its way as I loved the 2015 version. For those of you that used the V2 model and have continued through the other Angell versions, what's the biggest difference I could expect from the Version 5 frames? I'm using 16X19, 63 RA.

Let me know your thoughts. I've owned TC95, TC97, TC100 and original K7. I would be looking at TC97 or TC100 for update. Match play, mostly dubs, singles for practice.

Thanks

the new frames should feel almost the same. They have not changed over the years. I have read here somewhere that the V2 version had a slightly higher SW. I liked my V2's the best, too so I do believe there was a little difference. But it should be barely noticable. Other than that build quality, specs and all that are the same across the versions.
Since your V2's are quite old the biggest difference you might feel (depending on how sensitive you are to small changes) is that the new frames would be little firmer, just because the carbon fibre softens up with restringing and use over the years.

@moii Thanks for the feedback. Perhaps I'm not fond of the V3 because I haven't strung it many times and it feels more firm than my V2's. Also interesting point on the potential SW change over time from V2 to V5. I know that @topspn might have some feedback too.

@ace18 @moli I don't think that any particular version had higher SW per se. I believe it was the introduction of Micro Braid that brought less range in SW or variability. You no longer got SW that was too high from target.

you might be right. It's just something that I picked up from somewhere and it matched my personal experiance. My Vantage frames and Angell V2's felt the most solid with highest SW (all other specs being the same). My V1's and V3's were a little more whippy and controled but less powerfull and stable. And my current V5's I cant say for sure because the spec is a little lighter than before. But it seems somewhere in the middle.
However, all these differences are very small. So it could just be what you said topspn
