I like TC95 18x20 a lot too but even more I like the K7 Lime 18x20 that is also not available any more. Perhaps 18x20 is not selling well and the new 16x20 or 18x19 is more hot.

Old racket was Head Ti Radical MP (1999): 285g, 95sq (designed as 98, manufactured 95 due to QC, Head was measuring from outside of frame)
The Angell CT97 setup was chosen to be an upgrade of my TiRadical MP. It plays similar to the TiRadical but some aspects are done better.
- Sweetspot: CT7 [TiRadical - pinpoint vs CT97 - modest. Upgrade with the CT97 and it does add to my game especially on volleys]
- Control/directionality: Equal
- Feel (ball connection / proprioception): CT97
- Serve: CT97
- Maneuvrability: Equal
- Plow-through stability: Equal
- OHBH: CT97
- Paintjob: CT97
One of the best changes was going for grip B (Babolat/Wilson) - more symmetrical, fits my Eastern forehand better.
I have tried a couple of 'modern' frames over the past 2 years with all feeling too muted and as if I was punching though clouds (PA98, Vcore95).
Head Speed Legend (2025) was overall Good, but at 100 headsize at 23mm beam I found it less maneuvrable compared to the CT97.
I am very pleased with the Angell CT97, I have happily switched to this as my main frame after having played with the TiRadical MP for 20+ years!

Can anyone give some advice? I’m looking at getting an angell and moving from my ezone tour (mainly need a litrle more spin and room to customise) and I don’t know which is best out of the ct97, cr97 and cl97, I’m probably going to extend to 27.25 just to get closer to the power I’m used to but honestly don’t know which to choose

That is one of the very few Angell frames I didn’t like and I had so high hopes as ideal it would blend to favorite TC100 and K7Lime. I even ordered 3 matched React 99 18x19 but had to let them go again, beautiful frame but to me they didn’t play well.
To be fair I added a fair amount of lead in the upper hoop to bump up the swing weight. And this was before the existence of the TC99, which may have fixed the issues

Best racquets I've ever played with, and I'm playing my best tennis with them right now (not that I wasn't playing my previous best tennis before the Angell racquets, but I'm still getting better and better)
Solidity of the RF97 that I have played with for years (315g unstrung, precise 356 swing weight in both racquets), with the spin of a VCORE or Pure Aero (I selected an open 16x19 pattern), the 28" frame is a dream for my 5'7" frame, and the racquets are still maneuverable at 12pt HL like the 6.1 95's I used to play with

my React had low SW around 288 unstrung, so that could be the reason.
Thanks for the help guys. I think I’ve made it make sense in my head by thinking of the legacy as a more spin friendly ezone and the react as comfier aero. So I think I may pivot for the legacy, extend to 27.25 and leave it light so I can customise up without it being too heavy

Finally pulled the trigger on the react. Specs I went for are 27.25 inches long, 97 head size, 16/19, 300g static, 315mm and a grip size 5 shape b. Unsure on the swingweight but it feels around 285 ish unstrung but will get it strung up with lynx tour at 50lbs and see how it feels

I rediscovered my TC95 (Octane-era, 315 grams, 10 pts HL, 27.25") and I'm having a difficult time missing first serves... as long as I throw out in front, I'm bombing them. What a fast swinging, great feeling frame.
Also, it hits a noticeably heavier ball than my Blackout XTDs/XTD+, CX 200+, and CL100 305g (7 pts HL) frames. Very noticeably, and it's so headlight that I'm not feeling fatigue (yet) in long matches.
This means I have to order two CL97 frames (the replacement for TC95) in the same spec.

Finally got on court and after 3 sessions all I can say is what a racket! Just for reference I’m a 5.0 player and I’ve come from an ezone 98 tour which was strung with confidential at 44lbs. But the react for me is one of the most powerful and enjoyable frames I’ve hit with! On serve it hits bombs which surprised me as the ezone was no slouch but this is noticeably bigger and heavier, which is the same across all shots. Very addictive and probably needs a little weight at 3 and 9 bit besides that close to perfect
