good choice @SaaKha that was my very 1st Angell also, remember to add 2-4 grams at 12 location that will take care of the dead spot.
it takes 7-10 days to Canada if the inventory is in stock, it should be quicker to USA.

Gonna test it out without the lead tape first. Thanks for the recommendation, and for the info!

That’s it,sadly!
I’ll give last change to Angell next weeks and then if the issues persists,HPTT will by next choice, for sure!
Honestly,I feel a little frustrated because many people talks about the TC100 as a monster and crushing hammer tool...I couldn’t find it out:(.
Maybe my problem,who knows...
Thanks!

I had a similar problem when added a leather grip to my 95 V3 27.5", the racquet became clumsy, and hard to swing, then I removed the pallet and toyed around with the weights, putting 18 grams on the top slot (if you look the picture of the hairpin in this thread you'll know what I mean) and moving the rest to the bottom of the handle...and the wow factor came back! Both racquets have SW338, 344 gr with OG and dampener (Sampras ring) and 32.5 cm, Recoil Weight is a whopping 170...nothing push these babies around! No matter how hard they hit the passing shot, if I get to make contact the volley is going to be smooth and deadly

you just unlocked the magic..... that is what I did to my v2 tc95s it is discussed in quite detail in MgRi section (adding weight to 7" location)

Just measured my two TC95s MgR/I and one is 20.97 and the other is 21.4. I don’t have to tune anything :D Regardless, I added 3.8g @7” on one and just see how it plays
that is amazing @topspn I should of check mine before fooling around with it for 5-6 months lol
I originally bought 310 grams 32 balance rackets, wanted to increase the sw leaded the 12, added tail weight to balance but it was too polarized that screwed up the original set up, took me a while to sort out the MgR/I on the tc95s.
I just purchased a used one from the forum it was 330 grams 31.5 balance, all I did was added 4 grams at 7" and 1/2 gram each side at 9-3 location, it plays very well.

Hello everybody…

I am just about to order my first Angell CUSTOM V3 TC100, 16X19 63 RA.

I come from a pure drive 2015 strung with poly, I really loved how it played but my elbow objected… really hard! I mean not right away but lately in the middle of a local tournament, a fresh string job of rpm blast in a high tension played extremely well but pain came along in the middle of the 2nd set. And never left.

So, after some medication, rehab and physio, I switched to natural gut lately, babolat vs 1,30. The difference was there, more comfy but still pain appeared.

I have been following your club for some time now but I would really appreciate it if you could suggest a string for crosses, hybrid with the natural gut in the mains. I want to avoid poly at least for now until my elbow feels better.

So, which multi, mono or anything and at what tension would you suggest for me?

Hi, this might sound wierd and really old school, but I've always been a fan of VS and Leoina 77, it's as cheap and smooth as it comes.

My two cents

I can't compare it to V2, the TC100 V3 is the first angell racket i will play with. The reason for going with it is mostly the enthousiasm you guys are delevering it this thread. My main reason though for leaving aside my puredrive and poly strings is my elboy condition.
I was between this one and the prince phantom.

Carreau, which one would you consider as a soft poly?

Paulo, have you found that V3 is slightly slightly less manoeuvrable as well?
I'm trying to understand if it is true for V3 or is it only weight distribution deviations in my case. :)

Try black zone in the crosses. It is a poly but very comfortable, round and pretty slick so will allow mains to slide easily.

My addition of 3.8g @7” also played pretty smooth. I am not sure if I just got lucky or the V3 might just have better weight distribution and making them smoother to swing

Today I played with my TC95 16x19 63 ra V3. Originally she had 320g and 10HL with leather grip. I removed the leather grip and put on the super PU karakal grip, getting 310.1g unstrung. I have the same racket in V1 and V2. Both V2 and V3 have 307 swingweight unstrung (in the case of V3 should be a little less, since it is 10g less.) I tested all 3 with the same string, same lbs, same grip and even overgrip. V3 is more stability and comfort than the other two.I found the V3 more solid and felt no lateral stability as I felt in the other two. I loved this V3 version.

I have a V2 with 307 of swingweight and the V3 also with 307 of swingweight without rope. It is also realized that it is less manageable, felt my backhand slower. But I felt my forehand improved

But in relation to V1, V2 and V3, I prefer V3, for having. More comfort and stability.

If you go NG in mains and BZ crosses, I’d personally start 56/52lbs on TC100. TC100 is a good frame that hits a pretty heavy ball, you’ll enjoy it and your elbow will thank you after pure drive.

Thank you !
I will go with that. I sure hope my elbow talk to me nicely after that, we are kind of cursing each other lately....

Similar to what others have contributed, I'm finding that a little weight at 3/9, a touch in the throat, and a little more at 7"/top of the grip does truly 'unlock the magic' of the TC95 16x19. Depolarized and with a smooth poly or smooth poly main hybrid and these frames are keepers. Still curious about the 18x20, but something has clicked with this 16x19 of late ... maybe to a point of no return. I'm embracing everything about this racquet, probably because I've avoided this forum:D

My TC95s @45lbs hyper-g 1.25 and BZ 1.25 @44Lbs still think need to go down on tension and hopefully get better pocketing. I will try ytex quadro twist @43lbs. 18x20 pattern really does give a string bed a more stiff feel. Still looking for the right balance of string tension to allow easier spin/trajectory with the great precision.

How much weight are you adding to the head and throat?

you can guess and add or I have a worksheet that tells you current MgR/I by typing in the info and you can add the amount accordingly, it makes the process lot easier.

Well I'm all for anything that makes the tuning process easier and more reliable! Would You be able to share the worksheet with me?

I think that there will always be a compromise with either the 18x20 or 16x19. I've grown addicted to the "dwell" of the 16x19 and watching balls seemingly bend off the court when carving a shot out wide. Embracing the spin nature of the 16x19, I control depth with appropriate strokes. The bounce and hop are vicious when you're the aggressor, but I'm sure the 18x20 is close in this dept. The compromise is linear precision, but that has mysteriously improved with time and growing confidence. I'm learning that commitment and time are key. You'll work it out.

I only have 1 gram at 3/9 currently and have both sides of the throat covered with 1" head tape (maybe 1.5-2g). I don't go by the formulas but just mod by feel, and as saleem implies, I find the frame just swings itself when you get it right.

I think I need 1 more gram at 3/9, a little less in the throat, and maybe a few grams near the top of the grip. When it feels right, I'll measure and replicate it.

Indeed, there will always be a compromise between the two, just trying to minimize. I’m lowering the tension slowly to see where is the optimum point to get a pocket allowing better pick up of low slithering balls. The 16x19 does this routinely. If only Paul listened to me and made a TC95 or 98 d beam with 8 mains in the throat 16x19

Just a note on the Ytex Quadro twist... strung it up in my Fischer M Comp 95...loved it... however, the string is a little thicker due to the profile and the twist, and therefore the spacing between the strings was smaller... so maybe just be aware of that with the 18x20 TC 95... In the future, I will use Quadro twist again but in more open string pattern racquets. Just a thought.

What's the point of 8 mains in the throat? How does it matter?

@Racketdesign It can be a K8 ;) 8 mains in the throat, 98, kevlar/carbon, D beam, 66 RA unstrung, leather grip option...YOWZA instant best seller
That'll basically be a Völkl C10 Pro (graphite/kevlar composition, 98 sq inch, 16x19 string pattern with 8 in the mains and 63RA strung). I still own one of this one and it is a great frame but I still prefer the feel of my TC95. So I would rather opt for a TC98 63RA.

TC95 is also much more maneuverable than the C10 Pro, imo. And we have to remember that the TC95 is probably a 96-97 anyway, so I'm not sure where the point of diminishing returns would be for head size. But I agree on a standard foam-filled TCWhateverbelow100 in RA 63:)

I was comparing a frame construction like the K8 that @topspn suggested (and not the TC95) with the C10 Pro.
