Are you still using K7 Lime? I removed the lead at 3 and 9 o'clock and put 2 grams at 12, completely changed the racket, became more manageable and more stable. What lead configuration are you currently using in yours?

try 1-11 it works the best on k7 lime, it does not increase twist weight as much as 3-9

Adding 18g at 7” above the handle will get you to ~21. It will shift your balance to 31.4mm. Not to mention 371g static weight.

371g static weight [emoji33]. I need to check how the 353g play anyway 1st. I kinda made my handle bigger with heat shrink sleeve that added 16g on the handle. The L3 is too small for my hands. If it will be to heavy for me I'll just order L4 pallets from Angell.

The stock weight of my TC100 was 300g with 4pts hl balance. Under thebpallets were only 1x 10g near the buttcap and 1x 10g at 7" spot. 1st I added 15g of silicone to make it more HL and a bit heavier and 1g on 2 and 11 spots on hoop. Now there is extra 16g with the heat shrink sleeve. If it plays crapy, I'm gonna play with it more [emoji1787]

Gotta say 1.35 Tour XC played well in ASL3 and does give a feeling of playing with a slightly denser string pattern. Control was better and yes directional control while no trouble with heavy spin at all. Also felt pretty good on volleys. It also felt pretty good on a TC95 that I hit with for a bit. Yesterday I had a match and picked up one of my TC95s with my normal BK and man, this is still top notch for me.

So just so I understand, i had suggested that perhaps their are influences at play and it is not a rule that 1gm @12 increase SW by 3 or so points. Meaning if maybe the balance is different it will exaggerate or diminish the effect of the 1gm weight. Or if perhaps the SW is already high then added 1gm will have a bigger effect ( so the effect is not linear in nature). So you’re saying math does not support that?
The balance has nothing to do with it only the pivot axis and the point where you add the weight. If you add 0.001 kg of lead 57 cm above the pivot axis the inertia goes up by 3.249 Kgcm^2. As long as all you’re talking about is the inertia increase. Of course different balances will give you different feels with the same SW.

When you add weight on the tip of the racket balance will change and how much it changes depend on where the balance point was before you added the weight and how much the racket weighed before you added the weight. The lighter the racket, the farther from the balance you add weight, and the greater the added weight the greater the change when you add weight.

Where did you add your lead strips and how much?
2 at 3, 2 at 12, 2 at 9 ; ) . Are you still playing with rip control 1.2 en msv? Mine is strung with cyclone 19/ 20kg, but interested in multi poly combi as well. Rip control well priced in NL. How is Notching of your string combo? I know that you play on artificial grass.. Is it definetely more comfortable than full poly? I know an important part has to do with stringbed stifness, that's why I string at low tensions, but interested if multi poly is even more comfortable when say strung at 23M/21C without becoming to powerful. I would think 1.25 rip control would be better because I play on clay. Note that my k7 is not as heavy as yours.. thanks!

I seldom break strings when playing on grass so I have no problems with that. RIP Control 1.20 mm has been my favourite multi for years. It has such a great feel that is much more comfortable than a copoly but it is still a control string with only a little more power than a poly. Together with the MSV CoFocus the strings don't move too much as well. So I also don't need to adjust the strings after every rally. ;-)
Indeed I also think you better can use 1.25 rip control on clay. However I wouldn't recommend you the 1.30mm as that one has much less feel than the thinner gauges.

I don't think the TC95 feels flexy or noodly. Feels crisper than its RA value would let you believe.
A solid thumper that one.
But it worries my a bit about your elbow though... Völkl is to my knowledge a manufacturer of "comfortable" racquets.

Stay with Völkl (There must be knowledgeable Völkl enthusiasts here who should be able to point you in the right direction) or perhaps have a look at Prince.

I say this despite personally playing with the TC95 and K7.

I believe @Backhanded Compliment is a former Völkl evangelist (now flourishes the TC95 with great enthusiasm) and will most likely weigh in here with the pro's and cons of the two brands.
Never a Volkl guy really ... more of an old Head, Fischer, Pacific and waaaay back Dunlop guy. TC95 never feels noodley it has flex but not the head style flex you find in Volkl. TC95 Ra63 is rather comfy for me, one of its strongest suits. The main thing is the way the TC95 destroys the ball and lets you go from wicked spin to flat + big serving and good returning. It is simply an all around great stick. If you want more head flex check out the TC97. The Throat flex is more of an acquired taste wheras the head flex is what most consider "butttery" in Volkls. It isnt my thing. K7 might do the trick with its kevlar makeup.

Hi people...

Anyone knows if Tc 100 16x19 is a string breaker racquet (like prince beast100)?

I thinking about tc100 tour 16x19 ra67...

Have this tc100 tour good power and spin? Like what Babolat racquet for example?

Tks so much again

Tc100 has power similar to the babolat 100 inch sticks and it doesnt seem like a string breaker but that depends a lot on the string doesnt it? TC100 has pretty great spin potential, its pretty easy to hit with.

I think I've read somewhere that BK is good for a cross. Anyone to confirm?
I have always used BK as full bed. Black Zone by Tourna would make a good cross since its comfortable and slippery to allow mains to easily snap back

Spot on, I wouldn't use a shaped poly in the x's.... I'd love to try BK mains and red code wax in the crosses, I think that would be a great hybrid with fantasic snapback.. If only the discounts worked for non eu or usa customers

Actually something like WC Ultra Cable with square profile is not bad as a cross. The mains slide on a flat surface and could be notched less than by round profile. I've also got firestroke to try as a cross.

Give it a go, personal preference, I have never liked it for many reasons. Wc is also very sharp, paired with angell grommets = bad mix :)
I just love the crosses to be slippery slick, best spin potential imo

I strung my TC100 with UC last weekend and used it in a tournament. Used UC before and it was really good experience (except grommet cut). This time I used last pack of UC and it was stiff, less feel, less power. Maybe there are production deviations? Tension and stringing method was the same as previous.

Hmm..just guessing here but did you use it before in the summer? And maybe now it’s winter and the cold is effecting how it plays

Yes, I thought about this summer/winter deviations, but no - last 3 "normal" sets were used during November - January period. :)

A friend I know has traded up for ASL3. Will be trying that tomorrow evening for a bit. I definitely expect to be launching missiles and clobbering the back fence for the initial adjustment duration - coming off my usual racquet - but hope to see some of that Angell TC100 magic afterwards.

Thoughts, ASL users?
seems like Paul is trolling Babolat and Head well while giving something different than the Pure Strike and Speed series. Not a copy but an alternative approach.

BTW is there an alternative to RSLyon yet? something wuth that syn gut like pocketing and dwell time yet the control and spin? So far RSLyon is the stongest string for my game in the TC95. Something that lets me swing out and free at 75-85% power 95% of the time.

Try Black Night 1.28, i string it up at 48lbs and it has beautiful pocketing and good control

It depends which one you compare with, except a sw of 325-330, higher the sw=less Maneuverability
Thank you! I’m aware that the SW doesn’t change with weight/balance options. Was thinking more about how it would play out since the balance propably only will be around 2-3 pts HL strung.

I dont know your level of play or your current racket but in General plays fine, the lower the weight the less head Light thats the common rule, besides that you can add weight and Change the balance if you like

I sent my tc97 16/19 for stringing and some customizations and received it today, also sent a tc97 18/20 for customization, measure sw etc and found it well balanced so no need for lead, the guy is an atp tour stringer and specialized in customization too, he measured my tc97 16/19, sw 328, balance 31.9,weight 330gr and RDC 64,was strung yptp/isospeed control hybrid. After he restring and did some tests he found that wasn't stable enough with low-medium torsional stability (i thought it was!) and added some lead at 3-9 about 1.5gr total and a couple of grams Silicone under the trap door. I hit some balls and indeed its a lot better than before but increased the sw a bit. What suprised me was that he put 1 strip lead at each side but opposite to each other, sorry for my English but hope you understand it, has anyone tried that?

Yes, that’s exactly what i do with tungsten tape on all my racquets. It works perfectly fine with better weight distribution so it’s not more concentrated on a smaller area.

Thats clever, never thought it would be a correct procedure, always lead my rackets equal, both sides and 4 stripes total

Topspin, have you played with the Technifibre Tflash 300 PS? I find it similar to the pure drive but more elbow friendly. I have placed a leather grip on mine and added 2 grams at 12 and 2 grams at 2/10. Its current weight is 334. I don't know what the swing weight is. Groundies have power but serving wise it's lacking compared to my Angell custom (original) 320/12pt 97 with leather grip. This is why i have an interest in the ASL3

Is that on TW? Ive been hesitant to go thicker than 1.28 but then again it took me 6 years to try Paul's sticks (duh) and look how that turned out. My favorite string maker is Weiscannon... so many really good products at a better price. All that said I did reimagine my FH when I came back to the game 10 years ago and used Soderling's as a template so buying his strings does make some sense.

Hi,
has anyone played the K7 Red/Slazenger Edition and Prince Phantom Pro 100 here and can compare them?
Prince is more arm friendly, faster through the air more spin, more forgiving, less power especially on serve, control a little bit less, a little better plow through, very nice feel and touch on both rackets, the new tour 310 seems to have more power than phantom, worth trying for sure, not available in Europe yet i think

it is not on TW but you can get it direct from Tier1 https://tieronesports.com
The price is good but they do go on nice sales were you can load up if you like the string. The 1.28 works great with no problem whatsoever.
