it's definitely not out of the question that he wins a 2nd major this year. Pretty amazing. I mean if he brings this level to Wimbledon grass, where he still has pretty much a significant advantage over everyone because he's a natural grass courter and so so few are today, who exactly is going to stop him now that Novak is declined, and he can beat Murray you would think? Dimitrov might be the stiffest competitor for Wimbledon honestly.

And then you look at USO and the storylines could be extreme. If Djoker/Murray go the whole year without a major then it could be them reclaiming their hold on tennis, or it could be Fed/Delpo turning back the clock for one last NY classic, or Dimitrov/Zverev further signaling their future hold on the game, or another epic hurrah for Nadal in NY. Definitely excited in how this year could go...Dimitrov/Zverev are making it so that they are the alphas of the "young guns" and pushing Raonic/Nishikori back to their rightful place in the 2nd tier. If Dimitrov and Zverev continue to build on this tournament the weak era will slowly draw to a close.

He can beat Murray. Murray hasn't been a problem at all since Fed changed his game.
As long as Djokovic stays out of his way and he doesn't run into ultra-hot Raonic or something he has a good chance.

But I don't even care any more. He's done all the winning I have ever wanted now.

Servebots like Querrey and Raonic can get anyone in trouble in Wimbledon.

Dimitrov can also be dangerous.

And I'd say it's too early to say Djokovic is in decline. He is still a very dangerous player (maybe the favourite in any betting house if Wimbledon were to start next week) and will remain that way for a while, I suspect.

Also, the fact that Federer has beaten Murray a few times doesn't mean he will next time they meet. Murray is the number 1 player and can beat anyone in a good day.

I'm a huge Fed fan, but some people here are talking like he has won the AO sweeping everyone else off the court, when actually he had to play three 5-setters.

Still, of course, he has a VERY decent shot at winning there if he keeps up his level and I'd love him to do so.

CYGS? Nah. I genuinely think he's got a real shot at #19 this year.

I mean if he beats Berdych, Nishikori, Stan AND Rafa to win the AO, it means he has the game to win Wimbledon or USO.

RG is not happening, that'll took more than a million miracles to occur at the same time.

Winning a FO at his age.....his most vulnerable slam....possible to ousted to by players other than Djokalray.

He should literally just play the 4 majors this year and nothing else. Why tire yourself out with tournaments all year to get tired and worn down only to have to play best of 5 when it really matters??

The danger in doing that is your tennis becomes a bit rusty compared to the other pros because of the lack of competitive tennis prior to a major.

He needs to play at least one warm up tournament before each grand slam to keep his senses and timing sharp.

I would be inclined to agree with this, but at the other hand he didn't need much warm up to win this AO!

He did play warm up matches in the Hopman Cups. I think he played 3 competitive matches there. That plus the first round and second round in AO gave him plenty of good practice matches against pros. His game and his confidence got better and better as he continued on. Also the fact he is playing with basically nothing to lose helped as well.

His hopman matches were against the younger zverev, Dan Evans and Richard Gasquet. 3 singles matches plus a couple of mixed doubles matches to hone in on his volley skills.

Can't ask for a better warm up than that!

Sadly, suresh has already marked #15 on Nadal's calendar, so the chances of someone else winning it just went up. :D :D

Nadal has accumulated so much dissatisfaction and anger towards his narrow loss in AO I think he's going to take out his frustration in the remaining grand slam finals. He's gonna play his heart out in FO this year for sure. Since it is the next slam following AO, he'll have the best shot winning his next slam in FO this year.

Fed will have a very good shot at taking down wimbledon this year, given the incredibly high level he's playing right now. Barring any injuries, knock on wood.

USO is really a toss up at the moment. It's towards the end of the season, so the fresher players will have the best shot at winning it, I think.

I would think Stan, Novak, Murray, Dimitrov, Delpo, and a few others all have a shot at winning it. Fed certainly is in the mix if he's still healthy and fresh by that time.

I hope Nadal wins FO, not just because I like him but more importantly to placate 90sC, suewesh, and octobee, who badly need to "keep calm and calm down" ! ;)

60's Weed will call for fedr to forfeit matches on those days, thus insuring these public holidays will be days of mourning rather than celebration.

But wait! Fed will not get the calendar year grand slam because after he wins french, wimbledon, and US, the paris masters will be upgraded to a major, and federer will lose in the finals. But nevertheless, federer will obtain 30k points in 2017, breaking nole's record by 14k points
