In Umag, Molleker needed three sets to advance to final qualies round, where he will play #8 seed Attila Balázs on Monday. Main draw starts there tomorrow as well and the WC Sinner will play his 1R match vs Pedro Sousa.
Shintaro Mochizuki wins the Wimby’19 Boys title with a comprehensive 3&2 defeat of Carlos Gimeno Valero in the Sunday final.
The Czech mates Jonas & Jiri (Forejtek/Lehecka) captured the doubles title over the Can-Am tandem of Liam Draxl/Govind Nanda, 5&4.
Congrats to all!
The swoosh knows no boundaries and that particular swoosh is as big as I have ever seen. Phil Knight keeps doing it bigger!I was impressed with Mochizuki's social media post in English....
He seems like a likeable young man.
It must be so difficult to speak in English if you are from a country that uses a different alphabet. I've also always wondered how the Greeks and Eastern Europeans did it as well.
Met him when I was training at IMG. He's a really good guy. Funny too.I was impressed with Mochizuki's social media post in English....

16 year old Montrealer Leylah Fernandez into her 2nd straight ITF final after winning a thriller in a tiebreak and saving a match point along the way. She won her first professional singles title last Sunday and will be trying to win her second tomorrow. Allez!

He joins teen CH Tseng in 2R.Three teens at ATP500 Washington and two will be in 2R action...seeded #9, Félix Auger Aliassime enjoys a bye before playing either Reilly Opelka or Christopher Eubanks on Wednesday; the other two teens play each other 1R on Tuesday when Alexei Popyrin plays his last week as a teen (he’s turning 20 on August 5) and faces Miomir Kecmanovic.
At ATP250 Kitzbuhel, neither Austrian teen qualifiers receiving WCs made main draw. Dominic Thiem’s younger brother Moritz lost 1R but Sandro Kopp made it final stage and could receive a LL slot if fortunate.

At Segovia today, #5 seed Nicola Kuhn advanced to 3R with his straight set win.
At Liberec, the Hungarian teen Zsombor Piros fought hard to upset last week’s Prague Challenger champion Mario Vilella Martinez.

@Sentinel @Raul_SJ @Sunny Ali
At least Sabooshs’ older protégé Gunneswaranreshs won 1R Los Cabos.
Perhaps Manish Sureshkumar should have asked nicely for a WC there.Tom ... Otha, my neighbor's dog can win Los Cabos, that's how p*iss poor the competition there is, Omala![]()
Perhaps Manish Sureshkumar should have asked nicely for a WC there.
Afterwards Sureshkumar and Sureshs could AYCE raid the nearest White Castle with their buddy Harold!LOL!![]()
My heart was broken when his Drop Volleys(TM) repeatedly hit the net. He clearly does not have the elegance that his name suggests. At Chengdu, my heart was broken to see Indian teen native of Chennai Manish Sureshkumar lost his 1R match.

Wondering if his first name should have a double "n".
To be fair, Kecmanovic also had a 3rd set break he just gave away. Has some work to do. Good on him for beating a seed, though! At ATP500 Washington, Kecmanovic rallied from a set down and a 3rd set break down to edge Herbert in a 3rd set TB. Félix is locked into a 3rd set showdown with Reilly Opelka and on serve midway with few points yielded on serve for either.
At Lexington, #3 Sinner completed his rain-delayed 2R match with a comeback win but Sebastian Korda was eliminated.
At Liberec, WC Czech teen Tomas Machac has advanced to 3R but Zsombor Piros was eliminated.
At Sopot, both Tseng and Michalski were beaten in 2R.

Is that the new equivalent of Futures?Jensen Brooksby won yesterday at M25 Decatur (Illinois) 6-2 7-6(2) over Alfredo Perez to reach the quarterfinals. The 18 year old American is set to meet the 20 year old Argentine Axel Geller in the QF.
Should be up to a new personal best ranking when the 20points are added. Going forward I would think he needs to improve his second serve assuming today was typical.A very good week for Jack Draper this week in Roehampton where earlier today he beat Daniel Cukierman of Israel in the singles final, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

No, he has a WC into Aptos Challenger this week and will play Ernesto Escobedo in 1R.Brooksby won his second consecutive M25 F, dropping only 1 set in 2 weeks. He finished off Taverna 6-1 and 6-4. Pretty sure he's off to freshman year at Baylor now, so that might be all we see for a while.
