The players whom you think will never win a Slam

Thiem. He's waiting for the Big 3 to age out, but when they do, he's going to be 30-31 and the younger guys like FAA and Shapo and Fokin'A are going to blow right by him.

I know we can't predict the future and who knows what each tournament will bring, but there are some players I just don't think have it in them to win a title of this magnitude. Here's my list.

1. Rublev
2. DeMinaur
3. Coric
4. Tiafoe
5. Fognini
6. Monfils
7. Paire
8. Isner
9. Evans
10. Opelka
11. Edmund
1. Querry

There are many more but those are the ones I can name as of now. What do you think out there?

Great list, but I think maybe Rublev can get a GS, somehow.
:D

The problem is that it may be endless to make a list of all players who will never win a slam.
IMO it may be more exciting to make your list of current players who have not win a slam but will do it in the future.
My bet is as follows (with year 1st win):
Thiem (RG 2020)
Medvedev (USO 2020)
Zverev (2022)
Tsitsipas (2021)
FAA (2023)
Shapovalov (2024)

thiem
medvedev
zverev

can't really see any majors for this group, especially not in the foreseeable future

This doesn’t make sense, there are millions of tennis players around the world who will never win a Slam, myself included.

This USO is kind of a preview as to what future majors could look like in a number of years time, some interesting names in the R4/QF stages. Though I'm gonna say Tiafoe won't ever win one. People picking Opelka for Wimbledon, that's a no from me.

Seems like your typical journeyman also ran. A David Ferrer, Thomas Berdych type. If he won more than 1 major I'd be highly impressed.
Wow talk about hedging your bets!
"more than 1 major".
She's not talking about more than one, she's talking about one!
Come on, man up!

Thiem did win a slam and Medvedev as well

But FAA and Shapovalov are so much further from winning a slam it's almost hilarious now. Both got hyped early on when they were kids (under 18 years age). I guess we will see on Zverev and Tsitsipas but both still are top players and have chance to win a slam

My predictions were not very good, I must admit ;) Being cautious, I'd bet more on Zverev than Tsitsipas for the future.
I don’t understand why FAA is not doing better. His game was solid, he seemed mentally not bad and he hired Uncle Toni.

He simply exposed that Rafa made Toni, not the other way around.

I always suspected this, and Toni seemed to be smart enough when always saying that Rafa would be his only professional coaching job. I wonder why he changed his mind.

Thiem had to wait till USO 2020. Medvedev waited a year later at USO 2021. Not bad predictions.

Zverev is at least getting there, he could still do it. Tsitsipas, the window is probably closed. Felix and Shapo are worse now than what they were in 2020.
