Congrats to those of you who can get your hands on a pair.

Looks like a pretty limited release.

Too bad they couldn't release an updated version that would be playable today.

LOL!

I like the way they look. The pump looks like a tennis ball. I remember trying on a pair of pump basketball shoes in the 1990s - I think. I tend to remember them as being sort of heavy.

I doubt many people will play tennis in these.

I had a pair of pumps back in the day for tennis and they were fairly heavy. White with black and the pump was covered in felt like a tennis ball. I actually blew them out by pumping up one of my shoes way too many times.

I had the "insta-pump" shoes that had the separate CO2 cartridges that you pumped them up with; anybody remember those?? They were great shoes!!

Beyond ugly tbh...

"to be honest" = "in your opinion"

Coming from the fashion industry, I've found it rather pointless to argue about contemporary fashion aesthetics with any type of objectivity. In MY opinion, it's been rare to see an enticing aesthetic in modern day tennis shoe offerings in the last decade or so (besides the nike vapor 9 tour, among a few others). But that's just my opinion.

Classic, indeed.

Actually, this retro'd here in Asia about a year or two ago. I bought a pair back then just for the nostalgia...

Unfortunately, the Pump doesn't work as well as it used to back in the day. These new Pump chambers aren't as good as the original ones. =(

Still a great shoe to have IMO.

i had a pair of shoes from TW not too long ago. 09? that were black and red and they had pumps. but i dont remember the name of it though.

Not a reebok guy but that is an impressive collection.

Do you store them in a hyperbaric chamber? They look incredibly bright after all these years.

haha, no but I do have them in dry cleaners bags. The red/blue one in the center (Sanchez-Vicario one, I've owed since 1989; wore the crap out of it) all the others have been a 10 year search off the bay. The Chang one was extremely rare and the guy ended the auction early when I showed him my collection at the time, which was probably 4 shirts less. I'm really after lightblue/yellow and blue/purple, and then I'd be complete - I think :)

Agreed.

Those pumps aren't the best looking but oh the memories! I actually had a pair during the last time they retro'd them 06? and rocked the heck out of them on the tennis court, got all types of comments from other players and passers by. Gave my big toe a purple nail unfortunately. But yeah, modern tennis shoes have been pretty bad stylistically as well. Nothing IMO like the classic Laver's, Borg's and Stan Smiths.

Last year they released limited pairs in different colorways for each major. Anyone see them? The french open one's were splattered with clay, I think the Wimbledon one's actually had fake grass on them? Pretty cool.

Edit: These guy's..

And here I was hoping that this was about the KFS Pumps or 3D Match Day Pumps *sigh* here's to hoping my Nico Orange pumps become available... *realizes there is 0.00000000000000001% chance of that happening*
