The Pure Aero VS Has a Very Notable Player Representing the Frame on the ATP Tour Now

Hey All,
To all my tennis peeps out there, Carlos Alcaraz was voted newcomer of the year for 2020. I truly believe he is one of the next greats. He’s got a Junior make-up similar to one Rafa Nadal. Could he be a right-handed Rafa? Only time will tell. He’s 17 and the youngest in the ATP top 200. He’s coached by J.C. Ferrero, who was a great player and grand slam champion (hall of famer) in his own right. Also, and one of my fave details, is that Carlos switched from the standard Pure Aero to the 2020 Pure Aero VS, which is truly an incredible frame that has not gotten enough love yet, since it came out right during COVID. It’s the racquet I’ve been swinging since last March and plan to stay with for a very long time! Anyways, be on the look-out for Carlos and his Pure Aero VS (2020). He’s going to take down some serious names super soon!

It is interesting as i tried the PD VS and disliked so was reluctant to even demo the PA VS. Then decided a couple of days ago to demo on a whim just to see how this 98 16x20 played. Demo supposed to be delivered today

PAVS is probably my favorite Babolat stick. At, I believe 67 RA, it is prob the most flexible in their lineup?

Yeah, I am curious how it plays compared to the strike.
I just finished demo-ing the Strike (98 16x19) and PAVS side by side. PAVS has a more hollow and crisp feel, while the Strike is more muted, dampened, and "plush" feeling. I'm not sure if this exactly makes sense, but PAVS has "more" feel, while the Strike has more "refined" feel. PAVS is more spin friendly and has a higher launch angle, while the Strike has more plow and lower launch angle. There wasn't any stability issues with PAVS, but the Strike's stability is on a whole different level.

If only Babolat could convince Felix to use the VS paintjob then it could get some more attention, he used it at the ATP Cup.

The Strike that should be compared to the PAVS is the Pure Strike Tour. Try the PST and tell me if you like it better or not. The PST is a way better racquet than the lighter Strikes.
