What I would have done is to eat a lot for breakfast so that I can save money on lunch.

We didn't eat lunch because we weren't hungry at lunchtime. We arrived around at 9 pm on Tuesday when the dining room had closed so they left us a hamper of sandwiches and salad. The sandwich was amazing and the salad was also very tasty. The quality of the food is quite good.

That is a good strategy. Gorge on breakfast and don't spend money on lunch. It also keeps you hungry and you can gorge on dinner.

Yes, Rafa's sports centre/academy has padel courts (6) and organizes padel tournaments. They hosted a tournament of the World Padel Tour, the WPT Mallorca Challenger, in May. The tennis centre court was temporarily transformed into the padel centre court:

The padel courts existed before Rafa founded his sports centre/academy, they are probably owned by the town and Rafa's sports centre rents them.

All the pictures normally shown of the RNA are the school, the dome and the courts but there is so much more to it which is why I took so many pictures of areas I would have loved to see if I hadn't had the opportunity to go there. I had no idea that there was a Residence (Hotel) completely seperate from the student's accommodation and I often wondered whether the guests shared the living accommodation with the students.

I posted some pictures on the Nadal News (2) but I thought I'd be a nice Rafa fan and share with everyone else but some people can't help being catty.

Most of the people who stay in the Sports Center (Residence) are not players some are just club knock abouts but they hardly played any tennis when I was there. People come from all over the world just for a break and some go there for a week's coaching but they are not professionals.

The latter is how most adult camps in academies are filled, so that is not a surprise. People just coming to a tennis academy for a break and not playing tennis is a surprise.

Is that so? You make assumptions. How do you know what anyone’s circumstances are? And why would someone who doesn’t play have to be any less interested than someone who does? Passion for a sport doesn’t pertain only to those who play it you know.

The booking was done in April for my birthday on 11th September and they only had one room available. They moved the occupant from teh Rafa Nadal Suite to the Roger Federer Suite so we could have it. There is no Novak Djokovic Suite, I'm afraid.
