The red button on my Wise 2086 died!

Semi-Pro
Yesterday i was going to start stringing my RF and the red button stopped working, I had to use the start bumps or little buttons that are below the gripper to use the Wise.

Anybody has experience this? Can I do something about it?

Thanks

Dead cell, replacement. For the panel is like 45$ if you do yourself. Wise has great CS.
BTW it is a plug and play but if you send to them they charge u like 100$ to install...

Mine has started acting funny and I don't know why. :) Seriously, mine seems to not want to engage on the pull. But once it has tension, the button works fine. I took a starting clamp and kinda tapped on both sides. It seemed to fix it. I may go ahead and call Wise and get a new one.

You might want to try to jiggle/rotate the 1/8" headphone plug. I found that mine didn't always make good contact.

If you have an ohmmeter and know how to use it, you can check to is if the problem is in the switch up to the connection to the back of the Wise.

Some time ago, I boung the whole gripper replacement so I can change it, but it still works, just the red button is not, so I guess I will use it like that until the whole gripper dies.

Thanks for the answers!

boung??? Is that bought? That button is just a switch or contact that momentarily closes the circuit. It should not be hard to figure out where and what the problem is and correct it.
