Out of competition testing would catch that. So you can't "get away" with anything by doing that.

There is no incentive for "Big Pharma" to dabble in individual athlete's PEDs. They can make billions and billions more dollars creating proprietary cancer and AIDs medications for the masses. All these PEDs are small-time companies and criminals just looking to make quick money and corrupt athletes / coaches / training programs. The impetus doesn't come from the doctors / scientists - they only respond to the niche demand.

Novak won WTFs, slams (reached slam finals aswell and SFs etc) and won masters when he was about 20 and reached #3 mark and was consistent #3 for years. Was only a matter of time till he was gonna break through. I don't see what was so unreal about it. He was an immense talent. Compare it to other young guns and you'll understand how good that is.

You think OOC testing is good enough to catch that? With a three strikes whereabouts rule? I very much doubt the effectiveness of the scheme.

Out of competition testing catches athletes all the time. Not saying an athlete can't get away with it, but it would be more by chance than because they are not testing.

Testing in tennis is weak. We need the likes of USADA in your sport.

I heard every single athlete at the Rio 2016 Olympics was doping according to a recent Joe Rogan podcast.

He did go from being a guy who retired frequently to a marathon grinding iron man rivaling Nadal. Perhaps it was all a matter of confidence.

Certainly the change to a lighter, bigger racket seemed to pay off for him.
