youwrong. just look at his videos on Serve Jump height,, Super big differences in jump height among tennis shoes,, nike Turbo seem best and asic FF speed suck like not having any jump ability. and even Asic Gel res 8 and FF2 seem like really good on jump height ability. and they are FASTER than speed FF......LOL
So what is FF speed good for ??????????? Nothing..... it is actually Slower than heavier court FF and Gel res 8.............................
For fear of feeding the troll
You are talking definitively here when it is a sample size of one person. I love TennisFootDoc’s videos and really appreciate what he’s doing to take down shoes to demonstrate the tech inside them.
However with only one tester, it’s what works for him, not for everyone. Even polling across this thread is only a tiny sample of the wearers of the shoe, let alone all tennis shoes. All the temperature, suicide and jump tests need multiple testers across multiple runs and multiple days to provide better data by increasing the volume of data.
The suicide tests are very small differences in the main, all within a second or so of each other. External condition such as heat/ humidity, how you feel that day, what you think the shoe should do (affecting your effort (confirmation bias)), when you do the video. These could all have an influence and skew the results more than the shoe. It’s not scientific but then it’s a video on the internet, not a lab testing of shoes. No disrespect to Zak as it’s so entertaining but let’s not delude ourselves into thinking this is anything definitive. It’s helpful, entertaining and useful.
You can prove anything with a sample size of one and no control or blind sampling
Shoes will always be subjective: feet are different so everyone’s mileage will vary. Shoes are made to a specific last and median foot type. Just because they don’t work for you or some people, doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for anyone.
