Legend
  1. Djokovic injured
  2. Nadal with a terrible draw, and playing like a bum
  3. Medvedev with a declined game and confidence level
  4. Alcaraz injured
  5. Tsitsipas still with mental issues vs the old guard
  6. FAA, Ruud, Rublev etc in bad form
  7. Lendl back in the team
It’s all coming together for our knight of the realm, guys. If we all believe hard enough, we will manifest 0-5 into 1-5.

Murray winning is the next best option after Nadal winning or maybe Thiem winning.

So that some like you criticize him less for supposedly being a "surface specialist".
:p

Not sure how serious you were being, but the book has been written on that unfortunately. He hasn't even won a set on hard court vs Djok in like 9 years. And he hasn't beaten his pigeon Federer off-clay since then either.

And when your entire GOAT case is based on a surface-skewed Slam count, and "H2H"...that's a problem

Murray has never won AO after coming close many times, and obviously coming back from the hip replacement...if you think Rafa winning a third AO is a better story than that, I have no words for you

I stand by my recent prediction that Murray won't do better than the Round of 16 in majors since that operation.

So, would it be more important to you that Nadal beat Djokovic on hard courts after such a long time than that he once again won a title outside of RG at his age?

Apart from Murray and Kuerten (I think Hewitt was another), what other players do you remember suffering hip injuries?

Yeah, definitely. If he beat Djokovic in the AO F, that's a huge story and could change the GOAT race considerably, considering how close the Slam Counts and H2H are.

But beating anyone else, blah. That's expected. No glory in smoking Rublev/PCB/Fritz/Mateo for the millionth time

The Bryan Brother had the same procedure.

I don't think Guga or Hewitt had the resurfacing done, could be wrong on Guga though
