The Tennis Channel -- grrrrr!!!!

Has anyone noticed the Tennis Channel is absolutely HORRIBLE at keeping to their schedule? I tried to plan to watch some Hopman Cup, I see it's on from 5-7 here, sure enough, 6pm I turn it on and no tennis. It's just tons of commercials and clips of Open Access and junk like that. Why do they put this garbage in the TV guide if they never stick to it? I have no idea when it's even on, and sure as hell not going to check back every hour to see if it's on.

The Tennis Channel is great as far as showing matches, but YOU SUCK at keeping a schedule.

Yup, exactly. My DVR is useless on the Tennis Channel. Works great on every other channel, but The Tennis Channel can't get their act together.

Regarding the Hopman Cup, TTC has been keeping to the schedule in my area on dishnetwork.

when there's a tourney or match you want to watch, and you have TIVO or DVR, I've realized you just have to record the whole day schedule practically, if you want to actually see what you want to see...and BTW, I am so tired of the Center Court looping interviews they seem to air 24/7...come on those things are like 4 yrs old!

AND if I see one more of those dopey work at home ads, I'm gonna barf...

Craig, if the match ends early, then the Tennis Channel will show Center Court as filler. Often when a match does not fill the alotted time, the tournament will not put on the next match until a certain time. With the Hopman Cup, I'm pretty sure that they're giving the players some time to shower and change since the same players are involved in all 3 matches.

I haven't seen any problem with the schedule, maybe I'm missing something?

There are breaks between the matches of the Hopman Cup that TTC fills with other programming until the next match begins.

I know what you mean, Craig. What I don't get is, why don't they re-air matches most of the day rather than the other filler? I mean, it's great to air tennis live, but can't they reshow stuff in case you missed parts of matches during the tournament?

Seems like it would be a better use of their programming time.

Otherwise, why can't they show more classic matches year round? The tips and interviews and "social life" are fine every once and a while, but the meat of the channel should be match play itself

lol - I agree with Pound Cat on this one. Try only getting access to the major slams and having them only show part of the match to make room for a re-run of week-old football or hockey. Now that's a kicker!! :)

Hey is anyone else noticed the Tennis Channel being blacked out? Here on crappy Time Warner, I've tried to watch a number of times and it's just blank, no programming at all. What gives? Anyone know?

Well u live in canada. tennis is not a priority there. i played the futures there and all i saw was hockey on tv. there are other sports. one day it was basically the Sydney Crosby channel.
as for the tennis channel. stop showing the same matches all day. is only one match a day being played?

I posted about how their show Bragging Rights is almost exactly like one of the show ideas I posted here at TW, and the thread and my account were deleted by the next day. Strange.
