I thought it was a very good solve, too !
I didn't watch much of Guga, but when The_Order mentioned about a very special trophy ceremony, Guga was one name that popped up (I only remember reading something about it here earlier). But then everything else drew a blank..
The first flag is bizarre. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's not an actual flag of a proper nation. I searched it and found a flag for a web browser based game called Cybernations and started reading bits and bobs about the rise of The Order.

Underground said we can't talk about GOAT, so I had to do something. And my H2H is building up nicely.

I think the flags are Armenia, Germany, and Mexico. The Armenian colors are a bit different shade than the one in the picture, but it's all I could find.

Well now that I've been illuminated, I still think it could have something to do with Andre Agassi, who is somewhat of Armenian descent...

After you reach 50 posts.

Agassi has a German wife...

'Gonzales married and divorced six times and had eight children: he wed his childhood sweetheart, Henrietta Pedrin, on March 23, 1948; they had three children. He married actress (and Miss Rheingold of 1958) Madelyn Darrow twice; they had three children including twin girls, she currently lives in Fountain Valley. He married his dental hygienist, Betty, in Beverly Hills and had one daughter. His last wife, Rita, is the sister of Andre Agassi'

And this I already knew.. that Agassi has ties with Pancho Gonzales, a Mexican American.

Serena Williams won the AO and Wimbledon in that year.. accounted for by the images and the...

Prince William and maybe some other word/letter play with the other ladies.. Sears and such is similar to Serena.

Honestly it's still not immediately apparent to me.

Serena did flash through my mind earlier because of Prince William but I completely discounted WTA players.

Hopefully akind might make another face reveal puzzle later... a really good concept and original in comparison to the usual stuff.

sbengte, seems your riddle is audiovisual. Saying the names out aloud of those that are in it kind of makes one want to say Serena Williams.

That's all I have. I don't know how else the answer is derived so if there are other obvious links then they are beyond me.

Ok, I got to go now. Will come back in a few hours and share the answer details.
I have spent so much of my weekend time on puzzle posting/solving when I should have been catching up on some other work. The kind of things you do when you get into bad company , I tell you

Yes true, I will take a break from the forum soon actually to tend to some important matters but will be back when it counts during parts of Dubai and the 1000's. Got a couple of days to give still though.

Answer:

González def. Nadal, AO QF 2007

-Neat water bottles and pirate pants point to Nadal.
-Round 5 points to the quarter-final
-Chili pepper, González is from Chile
-Pancho Gonzales
-Kangaroos synonymous with Australia

Good job Ninja, nice easy one to start the day. That's all I got for now though.

Kuerten-Bruguera 1997 French Open Final

The shirts and glasses can fall under Kuerten's "Guga Kuerten" line, he wore a bandana when he played, and he won three total Majors. Not sure what the flags represent. The post-match presentation included Kuerten bowing towards Borg? and also I believ something about laughing during the presentation when Vilas said something to him.

This is the best I've got.
Sorry, good try but not the correct answer.

Very good work sir, not the reason I included the Mexican flag (I guess your explanation still works though), but you've got the Armenian (sort of) and German one.

Andre is indeed one of the players! On the right track now guys, give me the opponent and match...

The Order, I'm struggling here. I'm just not finding many other ties. Does the 3 refer to third time of a certain player winning a certain event -- indicative of the match in question?

What did you have in mind?
I was looking through tournaments where Agassi won it for the third time, or his opponent won it 3 times eventually (well specifically just one example - the 2005 Montreal final between Agassi and Nadal).

The thing that is making this very difficult for me is I cannot place at all the left hand side clues. Yet to me their colourfulness and vibrancy seem synonymous with such storied characters and people as Agassi and Nadal are respectively.

No, Nadal is not part of this riddle. Pretty sure I said both players were inactive.

The left hand side clues all point to the opponent, they have nothing to do with Andre.

You're on the right track.

EDIT: One more clue about the clothes, don't over complicate your thinking with them, really they're just what the guy used to wear that's all.

Oh sorry yes I did realise, but got sidetracked.

Well another match I was looking at which is an obvious choice given his dominance there was Agassi's third win at the Australian Open. And with your extra clue I do wonder now if it's that match.

Clement had to wear shades eventually in his career and likes his headbands.

That's the best I have - Agassi def. Clément AO 2001.

Correct!

The clothes are what Clement's style was and I remember he was changing his colors every set lol.

The speech clue refers to the fact that Arnaud prepared and written both a winning and losing speech because of his poor English skills and Andre jokingly asked if he could borrow one of them.

The 3 refers to the fact that it was Andre's 3rd AO title at the time.

The Flags:

Andre said that he finds it funny how English is not the native tongue of the three most influential people in his life:

His father - Armenian
His wife - German
His trainer - Mexican

I'll come up with a new one tomorrow.

Where did Nadal wear this outfit? Please don't use Google reverse search. Name year and tournament. This is pretty easy.

Where and when was Federer's only doubles Masters 1000 title, and who was he partnered with?

Who did Federer lose to in his only Olympic bronze medal match?

That was Dip (Arnaud di Pasquale), after losing to Haas in the semis (Sydney Olympics). ;)
hell yes, that was a match...could hold myself back then after the 2nd tiebreak and was so sure he'd win.
although he had about 6 straight first round losses prior to the olympics I was very impressed with his walk to the semis.

more questions & riddles!! :)
