Remember Lendl beating Moir on the 1st round of the US Open that year. Had forgotten about Edberg, and the only other one that came to mind was Bruguera-Champion at Roland Garros (in... 1993, I think?).
Edit after checking--omg, it was Novacek-Bengoechea. The weird thing is that it *does* ring a bell (more than Edberg-Erikson at Wimby). Still, good luck on finding that one (except if you're from Novacek's family). :mrgreen:
Another one about Lendl: he once played a GS semi-final in tracksuit pants because it was chilly. When and where was it, who was his opponent, and what was the score?

Probably Agassi in 1994, IIRC he was coming back from a slump and only ranked about #20 at the time. Still not that low compared to the other slams though...

Thank you for creating an original, interesting thread! I like the OP's idea of going one question at a time, and whomever answer it gets to ask the next question. I'm puzzled why anyone would look up the answer online, as that defeats the purpose of the thread. My suggestion is that if a question can't be answered, hints are given until someone gets it. That will, as someone else pointed out, keep the thread focused. What do you think OP? It's just a suggestion - it's your thread. Thanks again!

In 2011 I desperatly tried to find a h2h where two players met more of than 8 times (as federer and tsonga did) and could not. not in all the great rivalries or anywhere else. of course the possibility of two "random" or mediocre player meeting more than 8 times somewhen in the 70s or 80s is there.
I still think those two times federer playing 8 matches against tsonga and del potro in 2011 and 2012 a likely to be a record.

Well. I see that FedEx used the Airbuses a lot so I thought it was maybe a Federer match, but couldn't quite make sense of what appears to be an oxygen tank.
So I'll take Djokovic Troicki US Open 2010 because it seemed like he should win but bottled it... maybe that's related to the tank.
Joseph sounds like Djo and the name Viktor crops up in the same image. There are various references to the US in the montage, even in the top left image regarding colour.

The bizarre thing is that it was repeated in 2012. I remember thinking it was strange at the time how two players were meeting so ridiculously frequently back in 2011 and when it happened again with del Potro in 2012, I can honestly say that I considered conspiracy.
