The TT Football Club

Rashford on a roll. I figured it was a good idea to start him again. Instead of some fancy football and beating the player before squandering it, we get a goal. His first goal at Old Trafford since March.

Remember when Reece James got injured and it was stated he’d miss a few games to start the season? We both thought, whatever. He was suspended anyways.

New report today: Reece James remains injured, with no sign of an imminent return.

Got surgery and everything. You know I always wondered what it would be like as an Arsenal fan back in the Wenger days with Jack Wilshere. A player so immensely talented on his day who couldn’t go 5 games without an injury. Well, now I know.

People are gonna cling onto him but it’s time to sell. A big part of being a professional is also staying fit. Whether it’s his fault or not, he is a detriment to the club at the moment. Honestly his whole career may as well be over. It’s truly a shame. He was one of the best right backs in the world.

Agreed, it’s becoming a massive issue. Although there is a bit of confusion, reports were saying he’s not training and no idea when he will return.. but he was pictured in training? So not sure what’s going on there.

Bit disappointed Maresca has shown no interest in playing Acheampong. With James and Gusto out, it’s the perfect time to give him a chance. Makes zero sense shoehorning Disasi in there imo.

Antony the goat

Ugarte already busted up after winning the ball. Cut knee after getting his foot stood on. He's OK to continue. Nice.

3-0 Garnacho. Amused at his first reaction, to look at the linesman. But he's on this time. Unlike this game, yes, even Man Utd can show there are levels to this.

I do enjoy those head and shoulders commercials. lol Just the wee theme that comes on when the guy answers that he doesn't have dandruff.

I didn't know you had dandruff.

I know it's one game vs Barnsley, but Collyer, Casemiro and Ugarte feels like a more secure trifecta than Bruno, Casemiro and Mainoo. Funny ol game.

Yes, it's a game vs Barnsley. That can't be forgotten. We are running them ragged, while they are sort of playing how we play vs good teams. Looking that counter.

Looks like Dinamo Zagreb are rockin and rollin at the start of the second half vs Bayern. 2 quick goals gets them back to 3-2. To be continued.

Rashford is rockin and rollin as well. 5-0 to the Red Devils. What the hell is going on here? :p

Now, I can hardly complain if Amad is left out vs Palace, although I'm sure I will because it is rude not to. Garnacho has to start after this. He's on fire. Rashford, bless him, he has to start as well. But it is a good situation to be able to have players in form that can rotate. Yay to that, Jack.

I'm not saying United are amazing or anything, I have been very vocal about their deficiencies. But their only actual crap game this year was Liverpool. They should have beaten Brighton. Drawn at worst.

Like Slice the Wise once said, piecemeal is the best we can realistically do. So hopefully the improvements continue, piecemeal or not.

Also Courtois is just unreal . Best goalie in the world for me, easily.

Bayern answered the question by scoring a further 2 goals. Kane might be doing it for opposing teams, but what I'm most pleased about is putting Kimmich back on. Had him in and out, then back in, then out again, before finally getting lucky and keeping him in. Would have been furious if I missed out on 2 assists.

Damn it, Stuttgart scored.

9-2 though, bloody hell. Turns out, scoring those 2 goals at the start of the half was the worst move ever.

Endrick added a third for Real Madrid so Rudiger probably miss out on motm. Still have a captain to play with Haaland. Then we have Alvarez and possibly, football manager darling Schjelrerup.

Gravenburke and ''Sir Balls Zero'' (best weed I've smoked, cuz) on form, by the looks of it. Shows my desperation tonight, trying to wonder if Salah could get bonus points for hitting the bar twice. Classic.

Looks like we have an optimistic coach in James Horncastle taking over my thoughts tonight because I thought we did quite well for opening night. Kane's heroics have to be saluted but it's not like he came out of the blue or anything. You just knew ol Harry had it in him, I just went with other options.

Need Yamal to step up for me. Alvarez, please score a couple, at least one, let him do it, Greasy. You've scored enough, maybe assist Alvarez. That sounds just lovely, can't argue.

@Feña14 seeing my two favorite Real Madrid players are Chelsea guys

one-of-us.gif

Rudiger, obviously. Guessing the other is Courtois?

At this point Real Madrid are basically the Chelsea B team.

Which sounds like a tongue in cheek joke, and I suppose it is, but everytime they win the Champions League we seem to get £20-30m from nowhere due to add ons from selling players to them :-D

Technically last years win paid for Sancho. It’s a funny old world.

Which room is showing late 90’s Parma highlights?
Our most requested section. This can be found on the first floor. Mario Stanic and Dino Baggio are guest speakers this week. (y)

Playing the old school FM databases, I'm sure I mentioned Parma a few times. Every match, I just wished that version of Stanic was at United right now. He'd be a 300 million player today, chief.

Wayne Rooney was surpassed tonight.

''Harry Kane scored four to become the leading English goalscorer in the Champions League as Bayern became the first team to score nine in a single game. Kane, who converted three penalties, now has 33 Champions League goals to his name, taking him past Wayne Rooney’s mark of 30.''

Damn! Maybe we need to make Horncastle a real thing?

Hire a big mansion somewhere, get the two Jimmy’s round to do some guest speaking, tell a few stories and classic 90’s Serie A in each room.

I reckon 90% of the male population between the ages of 30 and 45 would want to attend. Nice little earner.

All Kane has to do is win a ******* trophy and my agenda is dropped. You lot know how hard it is to keep up this ruse? I’m pretty convinced in trophy logic for the most part but Kane is a genuine anomaly. How can a player so good not have a single trophy? The guy puts up pretty much Haaland numbers, what is it like 51 goals in 50 games in Bayern? That is obscene.

Come on, fella. Win a trophy. I’m tired of calling you a serial loser.

I can not recall another time where a player so good went trophyless.

Le Tissier was pretty good. But not one of the greats. Kane probably should be one of the greats. He has too many individual awards and golden boots to count. He genuinely is one of the greatest strikers of all time… yet, I can’t call him that yet. Not without a trophy.

  • Garnacho scored and assisted twice vs Barnsley
  • He is averaging a goal involvement every 37 minutes this season
  • The 19-year-old has four goals and three assists after six games
People keep talking about a Ronaldo style third season for Garnacho. This is a nice dream and all, but yeah. I just have to hope he gets the game time.
How many subs are possible today without any point penalty?

Four , I guess
You're free to use your full squad without any penalty.

Yup, as @Poisoned Slice said. You can use the subs on your bench.

37 minutes until the deadline though, so get on it :D
Badge Inter up with the heavy hitters after night 1, it's really noticeable when I look at my own points rating. And you've got Haaland to play, among others. At least I will get captain points, can only hope he scores a couple, Bastoni can score the other 2 in a 2-2 draw or something.

There is no way James Horncastle would have got away with having no Italian players in the team, so even though it has potential to be a bad match for Bastoni, he has to play, if he gets no points then Gabriel is ready to come in.

''During the press conference, James remained cool, calm, collected, he didn't have to use Emmerdale Farm style delusions to cover his tracks, like a certain Brazilian named Eddie.''

That's quite a photo

Damn, a lot of penalties being saved recently. I can't really complain about the early miss for Shakhtar because my player plays for Shakhtar and he wasn't taking the penalty.
