The TT Football Club

haha Merson exposed once more. Calafiori is more Prem ready than Ben White ever was, Jack.

OK, settle down. Sorry.

*James Horncastle liked this.

Oh dear, and we have a red card to finish off the half. Trossard off.

And yeah, add me to what the hell are you thinking camp. Cannot fly in like that, you maniac.

Props to the Gunners, they made City look dazed and confused with the defensive setup. The repetitive Man City attacks were something to ponder once more. It was almost like ''I will get punched in the face if I attempt a shot.'' Looking for that perfect move.

haha After my Mourinho shoutout there we get Jamie Carragher saying.

''Somewhere in Turkey, José Mourinho is watching this with a smile on his face.'' :giggle:

Kral would be telling us how this clearly proves Gunners are winning the premier league for the next decade. Drawing a game with 22 percent possession, outpassed 700-202 , outshot 33-5.

Micah Richards is trying to big up Saliba and Gabriel as the premier of all time defensive effort, Roy Keane is having none of it, once more.

''They still conceded 2 goals, we've seen teams win with 10 men before. It's not a miracle or something.''

LMAO

Johnny Boulders is back.

Arsenal's evil plan busted.

Johnny Boulders from the top rope, you love to see it.

Man City were so bad in the second half. I know it’s a nightmare for all teams when the opponent parks the bus, but why did Pep keep taking wingers off and replacing them with another winger? :-D

Definition of insanity and all that.

haha Yeah, it was brutal in the second half. Watching the exact same thing over and over again. I don't even think Arsenal hated it, the cynic in me considers an intentional red jsut so Arteta could use his 630 and 540 again. Almost got there before ol Johnny had other plans.

Timber's man of the match on sky is not respected by FPL. Yay to that. :p

I know they were down to 10 men and so on today, but it does make me think back to that comment Rodri made about playing Arsenal last season, how they were a team that would prefer not lose, instead of a team playing to win.

And yeah, repetitive line, you have to do more than that if you want to be the champions, my friend.

Oliver yet again proving he is the most punchable official out there.

Glad that Barca are bringing the heat so far. Perhaps that German polishing is a thing after all. I hope for fireworks between them this season. We all know the high likelihood that the Bayerns, Liverpools and Citys will wet themselves in the CL against the GOATs lol. Barca have been having their own problems but don't have that kind of a block head to head.

Why was he so salty about it?
I'd have to guess that he was unhappy with how easy it was for Calafiori to get the shot off, no pressure on him. He was left free the way you would expect a Man Utd defence to leave somebody free.

Maybe the City players were drinking that Merson juice and underestimated the handsome Italian. Lesson learned.

Did lose Ter Stegen for a very long period which is brutal. I know their fans like piling on him but he's a lot better than the backup. That will be a big problem for Barcelona moving forward.

Also the free kick right beforehand?

:D That passes in the opposition half stat they kept showing in the second half was extreme. Something like 105-2 at one point, unless I'm exaggerating just a bit, but not much.

Arsenal are getting a lot of stick, but I quite like it :-D Can’t say it’s particularly entertaining to watch, but I have a weird respect for it.

Everyone talks about how do you go toe to toe with Pep and win the league? They’ve flipped the script and aren’t even trying, they’re full on parking the bus and are going to try and win the title with defence and corners. Didn’t see it coming, but fair play!

When you think about it, it kind of makes sense.. especially without Odegaard, who is their only real attacking/creative player. Trossard to an extent.. but they don’t have much else. Martinelli was good today, but massively dropped off from 2 years ago, Saka one dimensional and relies alot on Odegaard. Havertz and Jesus up top? Ouch. Sterling :-D Partey and Rice in midfield are a couple of clobbers.

Arteta is getting 300% out of what he has, hard not to admire that.

As for that funny passing stat they flashed in the screen, I’ve found another! 3% ball possession to go with their 2 completed passes :-D

Overall this season they are bottom 4 for possession, only Forest, Everton and Ipswich are worse. Crazy times!

He almost reminds me of little Carmine from the Sopranos.

The Premier League is on the precipice of an enormous crossroads with this standard of inconsistent officiating, Tony. This is very very dangerous.

I guess this is why we load our FPL teams with their defenders <3

Very true! I just wish they would pick a left back and stick with them so we knew who to pick :-D Calafiori? Timber? Who knows which it will be.

As I say, I actually quite like it. Certainly respect them for it.

We were so used to the Liverpool v Man City title fights and the clash of styles added to it. Liverpool with the high octane, 100mph heavy metal stuff, Pep more measured, bit of tiki-taka, possession, false 9 etc.. depending on the season.

Now we’ve got Pep against a throwback team who are all about physicality, love to defend, efficiency, set pieces etc..

Not the most aesthetic, but it’s nice to know all styles are capable of challenging at the the highest level.

There was a danger for awhile where every team was basically a diet Man City, which wasn’t great.

I'm glad you mentioned the FPL. Wink wink hush hush.

I need to wildcard, but I don’t like anyone :)

Calvert-Lewin and Vardy are doing well, big Chris Wood looks like he’s on penalties! Semenyo.. “Brentford have a nice run of fixtures, Pinnock at the back might be good”.

Using my wildcard on that motley crew feels so nasty.
