The TT Football Club

watching the Super Bowl later?

Do British people do that?

Of course!

Shortly before your leave of absence, I remember asking for your advice on the 5th pick in my dynasty superflex league. J.J. McCarthy, or Odunze and wait on a QB.

Ending up going Odunze and got Bo Nix in the second. Made the playoffs, first round exit, but pushed the top seed all the way (y)

As for the game, Eagles run it too well and I’m taking the under. 21-24 kind of thing.

Watch the Chiefs win 48-42 now :)

Oh man Bo Nix was a great pick. I could have told you this was the exact right move then.

True! Nobody was really talking about him last summer, it was all Williams, Daniels, Maye, Penix, McCarthy etc.. I didn’t have high hopes when I took Nix in the second.

I was expecting to get the next Will Levis, which is ok for a superflex. So yes, safe to say I’ve been pleasantly surprised :p

I might turn the volume up when Kendrick the great does his thing.

Kendrick Boehly’s half time performance will be one for the ages.

In case anybody is wondering, that is the prestigious soda farl. Big part of the historic ''Ulster fry up'' and other such discoveries like that. The full English does not typically include a Soda, the Ulster Fry doesn't have toast. Usually.

Coconut cream Dr Pepper tonight. Thanks to NFL Europe for all their help. Will it be the historic 3 in a row? Let's stay up to 3-4am and find out.

Always liked the Seahawks in the NFC, but Chiefs have been my team since ‘98.

It was the first time I went to America (Florida) and I wanted to spend all my money on jerseys.

Got a NY Islanders one (the team I always played with on NHL ‘94 on the Sega), a Mighty Ducks one (who didn’t love the film?), and I bought a Derrick Thomas Chiefs one because it was red and growing up a Chelsea fan surrounded by Man Utd and Liverpool fans wasn’t fun (y)

That was a very one-sided game, but it's my one and only game for the year.

I can never work out if I like Kendrick Lamar, but the stage choreography was interesting.

On the negative side, we could be losing our manager to a club lower than us in the league table (Derby). They've met his release clause, and Eustace is unhappy with the backing he has received from our hierachy (unsurprisingly). He has done a very good job all things considered, and I'd be gutted if he left.

On the positive side and looking at a different form of football, Fly Eagles Fly ! I became a fully fledged Eagles fan from the 2011 (2011/2012 season) after previously enjoying some post-season NFL games, mainly because my family members in the US live there. During the first 6 seasons in which I was a fan, they failed to reach the post-season 5 times and had a losing record 3 times. So I'm delighted that I've seen them win the Super Bowl twice since then, the first time vs. a dominant Patriots team with Brady and Belichick, and the second time vs. a dominant Chiefs team with Mahomes, Kelce etc.

The beauty of the NFL, is that you can support a team that are absolutely garbage, but can realistically envisage them winning the grand prize one day. I'm still not ready for the Cowboys to become serious contenders again though - laughing at them every year is an established ritual.

I hadn't realised that there's an instant rematch between Inter and Fiorentina. Napoli dropping points vs. Udinese gives Inter a nice confidence booster before kick-off. Part of me thinks that despite the fact that Serie A is the most competitve major European league currently, if Simeone Inzaghi 'only' wins 1 Serie A title with Inter, that would kind of be an underachievement given that he's had the strongest squad in the league at his disposal during his reign.

At least from Atalanta's perspective, the fact that they've had a difficult run of form, but are still not too far adrift of Napoli and Inter, should give them confidence.

In La Liga, while I like Valencia (the club since the late 90s and the city itself) and want them to survive, I do think that if they get relegated it would well and truly deserved for how badly they've been run. But then again it's not the fault of the fans that they've been lumbered with the disastrous ownership of Peter Lim. One of the managers that he sacked, not long after leading the club to both a top 4 finish and Copa del Rey triumph, Marcelino is in charge at Villarreal, who once again are likely to qualify for Europe (whatever competition it is) next season. Lim 'ordered' Marcelino while at Valencia to play weakened teams in the Copa del Rey to focus on the push for a top 4 place. Marcelino ignored those instructions, and felt that he and the team could succeed in both competitions. He was right, but Lim never forgave him for 'disobeying him'.

I had the pre show on last night. It was weird, Tom Cruise starting to resemble peak 90s Ken Barlow or something. :p

Sancho's ''freedom'' didn't go down well. I'm totally indifferent to it all. It just had me thinking of George Michael aand the best video of all time. I know it made Goldbridge think of a Mel Gibson analogy. Mission accomplished for Jadon. Got them rattled this time. Shame I can't say the same for Brighton.

One more time, baby.
