Had the worst nightmare - we lost 1-0. 4 minutes of added time, ref blowed the whistle in the 97th minute while we were counter attacking 5 v 3 or something. Klopp stormed the pitch.

**** that ****e. Got the day off tomorrow. Please lads just win, any win will do. Please.

I didn't realize how small time Liverpool were until this Europa League run. Even Fulham didn't get this excited. :D

Then again, that is my fault for treating Liverpool with too much respect, they haven't won a title in near 30 years and just one trophy in 10. They aren't one of the big boys.

    Hello

Who do you think has a better vision?

    Xavi or Messi.

His range is as legendary as it gets. But he doesn't have the vision of Messi or Xavi imo.

Liverpool have been better so far. Would rather see them win, just because of Kloppo, that dude is awesome.

Thanks Sevilla for another great evening. :)

It's now guaranteed that for a 3rd straight year, both the Champions League and Europa League winners will be Spanish. Can't remember one league totally dominating the European scene like this.

Are Liverpool going to play Europa League next season thanks to this runner-up spot?

Nobody jinxed anything. Liverpool are just crap compared to the big guns. Big work on, but it has still been a good season and Klopp seems to have them on the right track.

Doesn't look like you considered Europa League a Micky Mouse cup before the final. Dreamed about it, hugely wanted the win, almost went to Basel... :D

Lucky you, no European distraction at all in 2016-17.

I'm quite annoyed/disgusted with United men celebrating like there is no tomorrow because Liverpool lost. Yeah, yeah, big rivals, but once again, it is like they are celebrating more for this than they would celebrate a United win. Almost seems right that Crystal Palace give us a beating now. I just want to see how these United men react. Yuck. Seriously, Palace are getting hammered.

This is just United men I know by the way. I sure did see a lot of randomers with Sevilla scarfs on their facebook page.

    Bugs me.

I did find this amusing. Liverpool couldn't handle the coke.

I am not celebrating Liverpool losing but I do find an element of justice in the result. Had some Eastern European Club fielded a player who failed a drugs test, the same team would have been disqualified.

Is this true? Club disqualification for a single player doping (PED or social)?

No they would not have. The rule is two players have to test positive from the same team for there to be a sanction to the club. Dynamo Zagreb had a player fail a test this year v Arsenal and they receive no sanction and their victory stood. Wenger was furious.

Yep that could proved to be a blessing in disguise next season. We were never going to win the CL anyway with this squad, and if I had the choice of no Europe/EL I'd definitely go with the former, as I said leave the micky mouse cups to the likes of Sevilla and other Spanish minnows (and United of course;)). I'm not having any of the "top players will not come with no CL", **** that, if they don't want to come because we are not in Europe then we don't want them here. We are Liverpool.

Concentrate on the league and the domestic cups and we'll be fine, I'd love a top4 finish and a cup for next season. Maybe a nice title challenge too :)

Good post. Luckily, I don't have any big United supporting mates, I would have killed them anyway by now :p but there you have it just goes to show how big is this club and this city when you have other teams supporters celebrating that much a micky mouse cup loss. Don't get me started on the bitters of the town, was a good decision to have the day off really was.

Love the flares btw, I don't think I've seen them so much during a season. Started since Stoke away I think, hope we keep it up next year although I won't be taking any inside the ground (too risky :p) but I'm always up for a few smoke bombs when welcoming the coach or after the game (ala villarreal, Dortmund, United - were absolutely brilliant).

Always thought most Spanish fans are quite decent maybe not as passionate but still never had any issues with them when coming over, villarreal fans wished us luck after the 3-0 the other day, so I was a bit shocked with the text I received from a mate who's in basel - said they were celebrating in front of their faces after the game, giving them stick, anyway it's a shame.

No more football for me until August don't think I can be arsed with the euros.

Oh campione the one and only were liverpool
They said our days were numbered were not famous anymore
But scousers rule the country like they've always done before

see ya in a bit

Chelsea have more trophies in the last 10 years? I think I am going to throw up.

Not counting the FIFA Club World Cup and Community Shields for some reason?

Some nice records broken this season...

Leicester became the first first-time winners of the top-flight since Nottingham Forest in 1977-78.

My favorite :) - Barcelona won their 24th Liga title; the sixth in the last eight seasons.

Bayern conceded just 17 goals; a new record for an entire Bundesliga season.

Juventus equalled the record for fewest goals conceded in a 20-team Serie A campaign (20, like the Old Lady also did in 2011-12).

Paris Saint-Germain were crowned Ligue 1 champions after only 30 matchdays; the earliest in the history of the French top flight.

Chelsea’s final tally of 50 points is the lowest of any reigning Premier League champion. The last top-flight team to have fewer points defending their crown were Everton in 1970-71 (49 assuming three points for a win).

Atletico Madrid kept 24 clean sheets in La Liga this season; only Deportivo have had more in a single La Liga campaign (26 in 1993-94).

Bayern's Robert Lewandowski finished the season with 30 goals, making him the first non-German to reach that number and the first Bundesliga player since 1976-77 (Dieter Muller, 34 goals).

AC Milan scored only 49 goals in this campaign; their lowest scoring tally in Serie A since 2001-02.

PSG scored 102 goals this season in Ligue 1; a record since Reims (109) and RC Paris (118) in 1959-60.

Wes Morgan became the third outfield player in Premier League history to play every minute of a title-winning season (after Gary Pallister in 1992-93 and John Terry in 2014-15).

Luis Suarez became the third player to score 40+ goals in a La Liga season; after Lionel Messi (3) and Cristiano Ronaldo (3).

Borussia Dortmund finished on 78 points, making them the best second-placed team ever in Bundesliga history.

This was the first Serie A campaign in which three different teams finished with 80+ points.

PSG broke the record for most points in a Ligue 1 season (96).

Jamie Vardy became the first Premier League player to score in 11 consecutive appearances in Premier League history.

Sevilla are the first team to finish a La Liga season without an away win since Real Murcia on 2003-04.

Bayern won their fourth title in a row and are the first team ever to do so in the Bundesliga.

Gonzalo Higuain set a new record for goals scored in a single Serie A season (36), finding the net in 25 games (another all-time record in this competition).

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored 38 goals in Ligue 1 this year; the best tally ever by a PSG player and third-best tally for a player in a single Ligue 1 season behind Skoblar (44) and Keita (42) in 1970-71.

Getafe have been relegated to Segunda Division for the first time.

Both promoted teams (Ingolstadt and Darmstadt) managed to avoid relegation, making this the first Bundesliga season since 2009-10 with no promoted team going down immediately.

Juventus kept 10 consecutive clean sheets between January and March; a Serie A record.

    Troyes conceded 83 goals in Ligue 1 2015-16; a season-high since Brest in 1979-80 (87).

Some great stats there (Chelsea being the worse defending champions in history aside ;)).

The Higuain one interests me a lot, that record has stood since the 1920's! Very curious to see how he does in the Premier League, if he gets the move he seems to be after.

Martial the only one of Van Gaal's six signings during the last summer to make the starting XI of the FA Cup final. Depay isn't even on the bench.

If they lose this one, I don't know how will he manage to keep his job...

Looks like it was a cracking Scottish FA cup final! Hibernian won 3-2 against Rangers! Likely to be the best football of the day, ManYoo not likely to set anyone's heart aflutter today...

I still didn't memorize the name of the club that won the Scottish Cup.

Hate these white kits, always thought they bring bad luck. :(
