Looks like it's Arsenal's job this season to make me sick.
Burnley should have drawn from both games against Arsenal. The first one which was at Burnley's home had a comedy of a goal not disallowed. Many refs have been disappointing this season and honestly several teams have suffered from that.
I know nobody will pay attention or change their mind about La Liga but we had two goal fests today.
Sevilla won 4-3 away against last placed Osasuna, stretching their run to 5 games in a row and securing 2nd spot for one more round at least. Even the own goal looked great. Maybe they can go far in the Champions League as well, Leicester seems like a winnable tie to me and then who knows...
Atletico Madrid went ahead but then relied on Griezmann to save a point. Good game, beautiful goals. With 8 points deficit while having played a game more, Atleti now look out of the title race.
That Arsenal Burnley match was a carbon copy of their game against Liverpool in Spring 2010. 12 added minutes back then, mental scenes when Kuyt equalised, King Kenny vs Wenger classic etc.
Of course Owen is not a Liverpool legend. He's a snidey little rat, that's what he is. The stats always need context premier league or not, though i agree some of them are impressive especially considering his overall quality as a player.
by "countless matches won by himself" I obviously didn't mean only finals. You mentioned Olympiacos anyway, similar games are Inter Milan 2008/9, Real Madrid the 4-0, the Napoli hat trick in 45 mins, the Arsenal 4-2 etc. And these are only Europe. I didn't mention the UEFA cup final because he wasn't as pivotal. If it wasn't Rooney it'd be someone else United never was a one man team, Liverpool were for a period, though in fairness none of that would have been possible without Rafa, absolute legend.
